Trezor just released new page on their website with a countdown for 21 October!

We know little about new device so far, but they are claiming it's going to be trustless by designs, so I guess they are going to use their new secure element.

Based on preview image we can say that shape of device is similar with other Trezor devices, so it won't be any major external changes.

I would expect new more security features and still its user-friendliness app/software/hardware aside just from being new hardware features (touch screen, NFC, etc.) for this upcoming wallet.

I'm quite surprised to see it has retained the previous shape, when it has been known for a very long time that their next device will have a "larger & narrower screen [direct "link" for all of the screens (only click on the main & test buttons)]".

For days, I've been seeing them (Trezor) promoting on X and Reddit that they're going to make a surprise and everyone really thinks it's a new model. However, this link makes everything clearer now.

In less than 01 year, they'll launch a new device. From the Trezor Model T to the new Safe 3 and 5 lines, it's been about 06 years without a new release. Now, in less than a year, after the launch of the Safe 3 and 5 lines, a new device will be released.

What will it do that the recent Safe 3 and 5 don't to justify the purchase of a new device?

I hope that at a minimum, it is launched with the new Tropic Square SE. Besides, I think the only justification for launching a new device within 01 year of each release would be a new device compatible with iOS devices via Bluetooth (or something similar to the new Bitbox02 nova). We'll see what comes next.

Hardware wallets should not be like smart phones and watches that new releases are out almost every year. I think most changes supposed to be in firmware update instead.

It is still very possible that the new trezor might have a new difference look, but I do not think it should be what should be modified every time.

Only what I will like Trezor to do is to create an airgapped hardware wallet.

I would expect new more security features

On the contrary I wouldn't expect this. More security features typically imply air-gapping  which in turn suggests the presence of the built-in battery to support the wallet's functionality without connection to computer. However, the image of the new device presented by dkbit98 indicates that this new Trezor will still need to be connected to computer, meaning it won't be the air-gapped wallet. As for the new SE, it will definitely be onboard.

Only what I will like Trezor to do is to create an airgapped hardware wallet.
Unfortunately, I think it's unlikely we'll see an air-gapped version of Trezor. They haven't even added new features to the SD slot, which could easily support PSBT and additional encryption features.

The solution is to migrate to Coldcard, passport, Krux or an offline PC if we want an air-gapped experience.

To me, they're trying to appeal to the altcoin crowd. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure Trezor's target audience is shitcoiners.

I think we'll increasingly see a migration of users who typically use Bitcoin or rarely use alts to airgapped devices like Krux, Passport, etc.

And I hope this happens, because it will make Trezor to rethink its strategy. Unfortunately, no company rethinks its actions unless they're financially motivated to do so.

They could very well launch an airgapped Trezor and another Trezor with BTC + Alts support.

Did you mean altcoins transactions can not be partially signed and be signed on airgapped device? I thought Safepal has altcoins and some other hardware wallets that are also airgapped. I think Safepal is airgapped but just that it is a close source wallet. Or am I wrong?

New security feature is their new secure element.
I don't really need to have touch screen and I think they already have that on Trezor Safe 5 device.
I would much ratter have build-in camera instead of NFC, but I don't think we are getting any of that for this new release.

I'm quite surprised to see it has retained the previous shape, when it has been known for a very long time that their next device will have a "larger & narrower screen [direct "link" for all of the screens (only click on the main & test buttons)]".
Same here, but they probably wanted to cut down manufacturing costs.
I hope they won't go crazy with high price from start, and maybe they surprise us in a good way.

Looking at the promo material they released for this upcoming device, I guess it will be called Trezor Safe 7 or something else with a 7 in the name. In the video that says TBD (Trustless by Design), the "T" is also a "7."
It would be nice if the new hardware wallet is airgapped. If it's not that and it also doesn't include their new Tropic Square secure element, I am not sure what would be worth the hype.

The solution is to migrate to Coldcard, passport, Krux or an offline PC if we want an air-gapped experience.
You forgot about the Seedsigner, Specter, and Jade. Keystone is apparently also airgapped, but I am not 100% sure about that.

Less than 12 hours are left until the new Trezor hardware wallet reveal.

New name could be Trezor Safe 7 like Pmalek suggested previously, but I don't really care about the name so much.
What's inside is more important, and I really want to see something new in hardware wallet world.

In that case, one of those firsts can't be an airgapped hardware wallet because we already have many of those. Trezor can, therefore, not claim that they created the first one. A hardware wallet brand that also developed its own secure element chip would still be a first. All other companies use chip components by third-party companies. The question now is, if that is the first of the "firsts", what is the second one?

Definitely, their new SE will be the first of those two "firsts."

Regarding the second, this is the task for guesswork. I guess it would be something related to random number generation. At least, I would like to see the inclusion of quantum RNG chip/module on the board of their new device.

Anyway, there’s just about an hour and a few minutes left to find out exactly.

A new hardware wallet has been confirmed: Trezor Safe 7.

Here is what is known so far:

- It will become available on 23 November 2025.
- The initial cost is €249.
- It uses two secure elements: Trezor's new TROPIC01 chip + and an additional NDA-free EAL6+ secure element.
- Quantum-safe architecture and firmware.
- Connects wirelessly via Bluetooth or via USB-C connection.
- Wireless charging capability.
- LiFePO₄ batteries.
- Color touchscreen 62% bigger than on Trezor Safe 5 with Gorilla Glass protection.
- Water splash resistant.
- Aluminum body with a reinforced glass back cover.

They highlighted the quantum-ready security features of the Trezor 7, but it’s unclear whether it includes QRNG, as there are no specific details about the RNG chip in their public announcement. That said, referring to their security as "quantum-ready" definitely showcases innovation in the hardware wallets field. Well done, Trezor.

P.S. I would appreciate it if the price were reduced by at least €50.

So the new HW is high-end/premium one, since many features is there to make user feel more comfortable. Although i do wonder how they plan to make Trezor Safe 7 quantum ready, when AFAIK nobody knows which quantum-resistant cryptography will be added into Bitcoin network. After all, some possible choice either have big signature size or computationally intensive to be computed.

Most of what was mentioned on the livestream was already expected, but they did go into more specifics. The price tag is more on the premium side, in the same range as the Coldcard Q and Ledger Flex.

While the new features are nice to have, an upgrade from the Safe 5, which I purchased in recent months, is not an immediate necessity so I will skip for now and get it when there is a promotional discount sometime in the future.

- It uses two secure elements: Trezor's new TROPIC01 chip + and an additional NDA-free EAL6+ secure element.
The additional SE is confirmed to be the same OPTIGA™ Trust M (V3) that's being used on Safe 3 & 5 HWs [36:06].

- LiFePO₄ batteries.
A 330mAh one. I hope those who'll be using this device wirelessly won't face the issues that some of the other brands have with a slightly different battery.

Same here, I'm not going to upgrade my Safe 3 for now, but because of future quantum threats, Safe 7 would probably be my next upgrade path.

79 USD for a two button Safe7 security device is madness. The very basic display device coming from Ledger is priced somewhat at 25-50USD. Although competition is tough but 1 device for the price of 3 is really to good for me.
