I came across the news of the presidential pardon of 175 convicts granted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It's true that the constitution gave him the power to do it, which you already quoted the section of the constitution that gave him.the power to do so. My only issue with this pardon is the people that benefited from it, I will not mention names, but I feel there are people in there that deserve it more. The poor that are in prison without proper hearing of their cases and they are still in prison. Recently there is a case of a university of portharcourt student that was sentence about 60 years for defrauding someone of a $100, I think these people deserve it more. So this pardon just makes me feel that it's something that is selective.
Omo the truth be say, Presido pardon him paddy men them, men way him and them don run things tey tey. If not tell me, what's the need for this pardon just two years into your administration, 175 persons, I know that there are lots of them that deserve that pardon, especially Ken Saro Wiwa and his brothers that where unjustly killed by the military guys in 1995, that pardon was justified, but there are some of them like faruk lawal who have committed state offense, who needs to be watched carefully, yet the president just threw caution to the winds.
