One basic start is for parents to bring kids into a Christian church when they are young... every Sunday. Included should be a Christian parochial school. But it should definitely include family fellowship in the New Testament in the Bible and family prayer.

That's an important question because cleaning our societies from addiction isn't just about confronting alcohol or drugs, it's starts with compassion and not condemnation, we must heal from the roots not just punish the symptoms,we must talk openly make awareness and not to shame, supporting each other on how to keep families and community bond, educate truthfully and early by teaching the young ones on how to " say no" not just that, but why they "say no" to understand long lasting consequences of temporary pleasure, because true change starts with awareness.
A clean or pure society you see isn't one free from flaws  but one that helps it's people stand again each time they stumble.

Addiction is a big time problem that destroys one’s career and dreams. Many of this youths are involved in one or two addiction and all addictions are just bad and negative activity, they always find it difficult to restrain from it and no matter how they try they can not do without it.
 We can not just do away with addiction in just a day we need to stay discipline and control ourselves from involving in any such act that we are involved and that way we can try to restrain from it slowly.

One should also wonder why there are so many addicted young people in today's society (specially the west), it was not such widespread in previous generations, wasn't it?

It could be because they are not able to meet expectations placed upon them by their parents, not being able to get enough money to pay for their education, a home or their own vehicle... So they try to get some way to escape reality and not to face their alleged failure.

In the end, that is what addiction is, an escape which turns into an habit, and then the habit turns into something else which one cannot control easily anymore.

The bigger problem is that even the adult that are supposed to help the youths out of these form of addiction are still struggling with some of this things and are finding it out to hypocritically talk the youths out of what they are already involved in.

Trace the root of addiction, you will find out the victim saw someone probably an adult around him doing such and got involved in the process. Adult are talking as much drugs as youths and when you even look at the degree that adult are committing immorality, it makes it look as though it's a normal thing. I think it's best we all take care of ourselves and know that photography does more harm than whatever short term pleasures that comes with it and for that, it takes the grace of God and the victims intentional decision before he can come out of such things.

Things we like doing the most are still the likes of what has been hunting after us a d we don't know, because in everything we do, we must be able to apply limit to it, as too much of everything is bad, that you have access to doing things does not mean that you should do them or always run after such, being discipline is very important in this regard, because we are not to hold anyone responsible of whatever thing that might cost us from the decisions we make in life.

I know children that have that basic start and are not doing well in the society. I think the first basic parent is the parent and child relationship, not school, not church or any religious building.
The church can not do what you as a parent is supposed to do. What ever religion you are it is you as the parent that has the duty to educate the child on the doctrine of the religion.
Parent are not parenting anymore and are leaving their duty to other people and that can be the beginning of the child getting corrupted.

It is impossible to stop people from doing what they want to do, so all we can do is to educate about the consequences of porn or drugs and let the individual decide their choice.

This is happening because the parents of young kids are not giving enough attention and they simply gave social media access to early age and they have been constantly exposed to soft porn via social media and other kind of lifestyle that people show it as cool way of life and one who gre up seeing in that way will want to be that way...

This is really a very disturbing matter, and you forgot to mention gambling because the addiction in gambling is also another thing that is causing social unrest since majority of them get themselves in dubious means just to raise money to play gamble. It is so sad that our beloved society is turning into some kind of nuisance which often comes from the youths that we believe that they are the leaders of tomorrow, it's so bad honestly because if the youths have fallen into these addiction problems it means that the future of the upcoming generation have been thrown into jeopardy. Just recently, an influencer was telling his followers how he is trying so hard to get rid of porn and masturbation because he started it when he was young which means that any form of addiction that the youths have developed now is likely to live with them for a very long time.
      About ways to proffer solutions to all these addiction problems, i don't really know because these are personal habits that requires personal discipline to eradicate them as no form of advice can make someone who is addicted to quit.

Getting free from addiction sometime we need deliverance from a powerful man of God most of these addictions are spiritual from your including you didn't mention gambling addiction, addiction has destroy most youths some youth are lure into most these addictions are peer group expecially the drug addiction, womanizing destroys fast most youths has lost their life because of women, womanizing addiction can be controlled that is when a womanizer became broke. Addiction is a merciless monster indeed. This life shambling situations have developed to almost a society norm! But abnormal will never be normal (like flooding or other forms of social unrest).
So much is contributing to this abnormals which are societal dilapidating. Some of these addictions have negatively affected other things in the society (like marriage etc)
Parenting has become some what abnormal to an ordinary view of children to parents relationship making this matter worst. It is not a news any longer that morality (not perfection) can happen anywhere but begins at home making the parents the flag bearer of a child attitude to life. This does not mean that there are not usually bad broken smelling eggs in attitude healthy atmosphere.

The kind of movies parents entertain is one move that has contributed to this unhealthy mentality.
Keep talking about the parents. Yes them first (family) before peer pressures and other source of influence.
Always trying to wake up from addiction slumber is a healthy response. The first time is not addiction but overtime In always doing it becomes addiction, since it didn't happen in a day I guess it will likewise take more than one day to handled. Just like success as per money making, always trying so hard to take control as much as possible even when you fail is a way forward.
