Even or Odd Score..... worth betting or just Plain Stupid?

I have never bet on this type of line, but I do believe there are gamblers who like it that way. Fast and no drama. No analysis, just plain guessing of what the results will be.
They don't even need to know more about the sport or the game. Because even if they rely on records, there's no telling what the final score will be, if it ends in an odd or an even.
It's boring, that is true. But if someone wants fast results, this could be one of their choice.

I haven't bet on that market before, because whenever I look at that option it bores me and make's me wonder how can it be analyzed to know a team scoring habits as team scores are not just in one direction or constant in different matches. I sometimes feel like the odds are not equal to the risk involved because you don't expect me to put money in market that's 50/50 and you are giving that small odd. Make it higher so that if I bank on one I will be stand a better chance of getting something if  it favours me. Sometimes I feel like gamblers don't bet on that option for several reasons.

I haven't come across this type of  bets that has eve and odd number on final score, of course that will be very difficult to predict. Such game can just be selected at random since it's unpredictable. It's just like slot game or roulette that you don't know what the outcome will be, but the only difference between this even and odd prediction is that the chances of winning is 2 sides because it's either even or odd. The funny part is that it looks simple but it is still not as simple as we think.

I noticed it in sport betting but I have not gone for it before. The odd is high enough in a way that I will say it is good to go for it but for me I have not gone for it before. What I like in football are 1x2, over and under 1.5 and 2.5, and I like both team to score. I do not go for other ones than these ones. Odd or even has good odds so I will still support that people can go for it but I see it more as a bet that does not require analysis.

I like how you defined those bets in your last sentence : completely agree with that bolded statement; if you are bored and going to just bet on those even odds bets it's better opening a roulette table and throw some chips on red/black even/odds 1-18/19-36 : the bet will be settled much faster and the house esdge will be only 2.7% ( on single 0 roulette) and not that huge 10% or  more sportsbook charge.

Gotta agree with this one, playing roulette will be much better with lower house edge than playing with this one. I personally don't place on odds or even and it's actually my first time to see the odds and even have the same odds. For me it's not worth it to place bet on something like this but it depends on the match, if it's football I think the score can be predictable but for fast paced game like basketball, I'll never place bet with this kind of odds.

beginners might be the targeted audience for this kind of bet because they are still pretty excited to have bet on something and they think they can still outsmart the bookmaker but more experienced bettors know that there are better markets than this one and they will just ignore this unless there is a miscalculation from the bookmaker which is uncommon anyway

For me it's not worth it to place bet on something like this but it depends on the match, if it's football I think the score can be predictable but for fast paced game like basketball, I'll never place bet with this kind of odds.

It does not depend on the match at all, the same as it is in football is how it is in basket ball. Just one more go makes it even and one more goal after that makes it odd and one more goal again makes it even and so on. Roulettes is far better than it in my opinion also but that is if you want a short game.

It’s useless o bet on this bet option considering the house edge is so high while the winning percentage is just 50 just like what you mentioned. There’s a 3 points and free throws that can make the total score odd despite regular scoring is by 2 which gives an even result.

It’s better to bet on a dice with 50% winning chance rate since the house edge is just 1% or 2% depending on the casino that offers it.

Over or Under is much better than Odd or Even that is pure random.

But I have a funny story. When I first started sports betting (before I discovered dice games), I used to play that kind of market and did it using the martingale system. I was really stupid back then, not realizing I didn’t have any edge at all. And of course, as expected, I eventually lost my money.

When I say I did it in live betting, I mean I was betting on a lot of available markets, usually when the game was about to end so I could quickly bet on another one after a loss. Can’t forget that experience, lol.

This is a stupid bet for sports gambling. If you are sure of both team score equal goals or know the exact goals, you could are better off betting on it. Betting on even or odds at almost 50/50 odds is lame and if you want to do the same, you could just play dice.
I don't think there are any patterns that make it happen, 1 single goal plus or minus and you lose your bet. There could be patterns for high scorings (3+, 4+) or a low one (2-, 1-) or even for both team to score or not but there are no pattern that confirms odd or even goals.

Lol, I was once addicted to betting this in the NBA games



As you can see, it was 3 years ago. But yeah, during that time I was that kind of gamblers that really wanted to see the results already of my bet and so I will do this kind of betting. Of course, it's not almost that I'm going to win, there were days that I will win 0/4 quarter bet, but then hit a incredible run of 3/4 or even perfect prediction. But still, it's just like any other bets, and it was really very exciting for me back then. Now, I just go and wait for the final bell and do the handicap or ML bet if it is appealing to me.

I wouldn't say that it's stupid though, every gamblers here might have their own strategy of betting. Maybe others doesn't like it, we understand , but calling it stupid is outright saying that your strategy is perfect.

I also do this from time to time, but it's not always. Like any other NBA bettors here, there's a lot of options from our sports bookies and so it's to us on what kind of betting method we will choose and it's better to at least explore some and see how it goes.

It's obvious it's plain stupid because the chances are always 50/50 whereas the house edge always got a better part or higher returns. So I think it's not worth taking or betting and again I would rather have myself play any other game than go through this pattern with no reasonable odds in favour.

No, you don’t get it.. even if you watch the game, it doesn’t make a difference. You can’t analyze or predict the outcome in this kind of bet, so you won’t really gain any advantage from it.

The moneyline you’re talking about is based on which team wins the game. But this one’s different, it’s just betting on whether the total score will be odd or even.

For example, if the final total score is 110:

If you bet on even, you win.
If you bet on odd, you lose.

I am not familiar with this particular market, as a matter of fact, I am just seeing it for the first time, the sports book  I have been using doesn't have this option but there are other options that they have which I don't make use of it but I only bet on the options that I am very much familiar with which also aligns with my prediction. It is very difficult to make predictions here so I think it is better to decide only one plane and leave it to luck. In some cases you can make predictions and they will be accurate but in some cases a good prediction cannot be made and there is confusion if you cannot skip that bet in that case you have to select one and leave it to luck besides there is no other option through which you can win it with guarantee. So in such a situation luck is the only hope

If you call that stupid, you should also call any type of bet where the house has an edge stupid. In this case, the edge is higher than if you play dice or red or black on roulette, but from a mathematical point of view, if you choose these options, all you're doing is losing money less quickly. It's less stupid if you like, but stupid nonetheless.
