What are the time limits of posting another post ( space of intervals)

Though I could be wrong or right but if I am wrong any one of you stands a better chance to correct me and lead me rightly.. please from the administrators and moderators or anyone who knows how the forum are being managed can answer this question, although I don’t know if there is any specific thread and topic that have already carried the query before.

I want to know what are the intervals between posts.. for instance what are the time difference between post A and post B? And I came across somewhere talking about post bursting and what are also post bursting does time interval and difference attributes to post bursting?

Btw, the table above is the forum limitation, but as a member you also shouldn't just go around making as many posts as your limits allow you to.

When people talk about "post bursting" they probably mean a campaign member that needs to make 25 or 30 posts per week and just does 20 posts at once to fill his quota. Campaign managers do not like this, so they ask people to spread out their posts across the week.

This definition of post bursting by @yahoo62278 can explain to you what it means.

Burstposting definition- A person that makes a posts then 1-5 minutes later makes another, and another, and another. I will not add someone here for burstposting if they have 1 post right after another every once in awhile. Sometimes a person reads the forum and makes a reply, then sees another topic they have a constructive reply for, but if quite a few of your posts are 1 right after the other, then you'll find yourself here.

Let me explain the last row of the table, so that you can understand it better.

It says if you reach the activity of 300, the minimum time you have to wait before making a new post will decrease to 8 seconds, you will be able to send 120 personal messages per hour and in each of those messages, you can add up to 20 recipients.

Your got 18 activities, so you need to wait 74 seconds to post the next post once you've posted which is not a huge time limitation to be honest.

And the other two are for PM (Personal Message), you can send a message to multiple users and for your rank you can add up to 5 users and can send 30 PMs per hour.

If you have 0 to 15 activity, you will have to wait for 350 seconds before you will be able to post the next post.
If you have 16 to 29 activity, you will have to wait for 74 seconds before you will be able to post the next post and so on.

This is not true.
The table says that the wait time is 74 seconds if the activity is 16. It doesn't say the wait time is 74 seconds, if the activity is from 16 to 29.

Note that the wait time is calculated using the following code and the numbers you see in that table are just some examples.

If you visit your profile, you can see you currently have 18 activity.

Using the formula above:

waittime = 90 - 18

This means that *at the moment* you could make 1 post every 72 seconds. But as you participate in the forum and make more posts, this limit goes down. So if next month you have 40 activity, you will be able to make 1 post every 50 seconds, and so on...

TLDR: Do not worry about this. Post normally as anyone would, do not spam the forum, and you will be fine.

Personally I reallly agree with time limits between two posts, with a longer waiting time for newbies as if they are actual newbies, they need to spend more time for reading, understanding about a discussion, before can compose their posts as replies in a discussion. Lifting this restriction only leads to highly possible more spams from newbies.

I understand it but I have question here. From the chart created by theymos, I can see that if there are a maximum of 300 activities, there are 8 Min. seconds between post actions and 20 max pm recipients and 120 pms per hour. that's fine but if there are more than 300 activities on a profile, what could be the requirement for the posting time frame?

This can be calculated using the formula I quoted from theymos in my previous post.

According to that formula, when the activity is 100 or greater, the wait time is max((int)(14-(activity/50)), 4).
For example, the wait time is 6 seconds when activity is 400 and 4 when activity is 500 or greater.

I tried to understand your previous post at first but I could not understand it completely. However, I have now run your code through Google Colab and got a beautiful output that anyone can understand in a beautiful way.

You are a newbie, and as such you are not wearing any signature. You are not in a hurry to complete any post quota. Also, you are not under obligation to make any number of posts and you are not expected to tilt your post towards some boards. So, this is your best opportunity to enjoy the forum. Read more and post less... If you keep to your natural pace, you are not going to hit any post limit.
