People always say “quit while you’re ahead,” but honestly, how many gamblers actually follow that? Most of the time when we start winning we feel unstoppable thinking the luck will last... until it slowly turns the other way and we lose what we’ve gained.

So the question is, can we really stop when we’re ahead? Or do we just end up wasting our earlier effort once our luck runs out?

The mentality that first comes to us when things like this happens is not that we are ahead, but being placed with opportunities to make more, regardless of the little already earned, one will still want more and that kind of greedy nature is what makes the insatiable taste for more end up into getting none.

Some will never see a quitting opportunity when they are winning, instead the opportunity to win more and gain more confidence to continue winning, while at last, everything fades away and all the winnings vanished back into gambling.

You can not understand the kind of excitement that I have for winning 2x or 3x from casinos. I think it’s worth clarifying what exactly we’re talking about, because if I evaluate gambling from the perspective of a bettor, I can choose several bets for the weekend and only make those bets, I won’t have the option to keep going or stop. If my strategy includes only the bets I define in advance, then I will stick to them. If my next goal is to double my deposit, then once I double it, I’ll take the profit and leave the principal for further play. Very first rule of playing casino is , if you hit jackpot/make some stack get out from the casino. It applies for all. Aying more could vring you mental instability. I can still remember a few weeks ago where I deposited some buckos on my online gambling account, and put some bets on MMA fight. It is actually difficult to stop when you are winning because you definitely might have been taking away by the sweetness involved in it. Can you show me one person that will pour out sweet been put in his mouth? the answer is no because everyone deserves good thing but mind up their are some sweet that comes with later negative effects that we should be aware of. However, it's important we stop or take a break at of when due otherwise we might end up losing all the winnings we have already won all because of greed.

Personally, depending on my mood, I can withdraw funds, whether I only win x2 or win quite a bit. Usually, when I win big, I can leave some money in my account to play again, either the next day or the same day. However, sometimes I make mistakes, when I'm not satisfied, even after winning x5 my stake, I only withdraw my initial funds and spend the rest on various slot games. Honestly, that's what I do when I'm on a winning streak. I cash out my winnings without a second thought. I would say yes. And there are many many reason for this. I would also say that this happens to me. I find mostly boring to gamble. It happens also in the past leaving not play for entire years.

Only people who knows their limits and knows that winning is not forever can quit anytime, also those people who are only there just for fun, and always have control of everything, they are mentally prepared for anything, while other people who are weak are just playing until winning are gone and the capital is slowly chipping away without knowing, this are people who always lose, then go home broke , sometimes argue with the family and don't bring food to the table the next day.

It depends on the person just because it's a discipline type of thing. If one cannot quit while they are ahead maybe because they are greedy. It's like trading where you have a couple of position and you feel like you could do more, then suddenly the volatility of the market sets in, you are now done.

Stopping when one is already on a winning streak most times always seems to be a very difficult decision to make because at that point you would want to continue just to ensure you have make back almost all the ones you have lost before then and sometimes some people luck do shine till they get tired while some people's own do end along the line and if they don't stop they will surely lose all they have gotten that day. Let me speak for myself, if I'm in that situation I will definitely stop after some trial and it doesn't work out and the only game this happens most are those games you will be getting immediate results which I don't too play it.

I really still believe that many gamblers could able to do that. Since not everyone is greedy to think about chasing more bigger gains. Lots of people somehow could able to quit and brought up some profit onhand.

The problem like that usually occur to those people slowly experiencing addiction. Since usually they have those thinking that if they gonna play for more hours they can accumulate more profit. The problem is the result sometimes not going in their favor and there are times that it happens they lose all their money.

If people didn't learn from those bad experiences for sure that they will just waste their winning chances also their efforts.

Yep, it is possible as long as you strictly follow your daily quota. Of course, since we are only human, there are times we let loose and go beyond our daily quota.
