You don't live in an economy of production anymore.
You live in an economy of attention extraction.

Your time isn't stolen-- it's monetized.
Your focus isn't lost-- it's leased.

Every notification is a micro-tax on your consciousness.
Every scroll is a data harvest dressed as leisure.

You think you're "consuming content."
You're being consumed.

Your mind is split across twelve tabs, five group chats, and three existential crises.
Your dopamine is on a subscription model.
You don't own your thoughts-- you rent them from the algorithm.

You used to trade hours for money.
Now you trade sanity for validation.

You chase novelty like a lab rat worshiping a touchscreen, begging for the next dopamine hit.
You don't read-- you swipe.
You don't think-- you react.
You don't decide-- you perform the behavior the algorithm predicted with 92% probability.

The attention economy doesn't sell products; it sells paralysis.
Distraction is the new debt.
You can't save time when every second is collateralized.

And yet, one thing refuses to compete for your attention.
It doesn't blink, it doesn't trend, it doesn't beg.

Bitcoin.

It rewards discipline.
It punishes impatience.
It respects silence.

Bitcoin doesn't crave your clicks-- it demands your conviction.
It's the only thing in a world of noise that requires you to sit still and think critically.

In the age of infinite distraction, bitcoin isn't an investment.
It's a detox center for a society addicted to immediate gratification.

I would agree with that, however, any entity that craves your attention like a vampire does blood may use Bitcoin as bait to get your view.. Even though the info provided by such people is nothing good or interesting, in fact.

It felt as though I was reading a poem, only that this is no poem but what we silently experience in our everyday society today, highlighting the unnoticed corners we don’t cut and still, it cuts us real deep and even then, we are mostly unaware

Your time isn't stolen-- it's monetized.
Your focus isn't lost-- it's leased.

Every notification is a micro-tax on your consciousness.
Every scroll is a data harvest dressed as leisure.

You think you're "consuming content."
You're being consumed.

I think the most changes in my life came when I became aware of my online presence. Having to spend all these time and data online but yet, you aren’t getting nothing off it. Still, there are those who put out these things and you know the truth, they don’t even need to make any sense yet, you pay for it with your little kilobytes and megabytes still.

It certainly doesn’t look like much but, it still makes the CEO of Facebook one of the richest persons in the word according to Forbes. You, you still struggling still.

Your mind is split across twelve tabs, five group chats, and three existential crises.
Your dopamine is on a subscription model.

You used to trade hours for money.
Now you trade sanity for validation.

Eventually, everyone has these, we keep to it, we try to follow it and we feel it’s a necessity, never leaving it, keeping it for the updates, updates on what exactly? Just an update on another means of way to spend our time while paying for the time we spend in consuming these things.
It’s indeed a paying for our sanity because the world by design has taken the turn of insanity to feed us online contents that redirect our thoughts while paying incentives to those who aid in archiving this purpose.

You don't decide-- you perform the behavior the algorithm predicted with 92% probability.
This explains the stands of bots, AI and just how you see social media suggest just wants on your mind go you and you wonder what’s going on, you didn’t put that in, you didn’t turn on notification, didn’t keep any bookmarks or accept any logs on your data but, they predicting you as accurate as possible. We leave in a world where data is just used which ever way.

Bitcoin.

It rewards discipline.
It punishes impatience.
It respects silence.

Bitcoin doesn't crave your clicks-- it demands your conviction.

Its why it’s not very appreciated, it’s a major shift from the designs we have in our world today, a system that ignores every means to censorship and puts power in the hands of those it belongs, its holders, the people.

The digital age and world is cool until it creeps into every part of your being and what you do, even if you think you are alone and nobody sees your activity / tracks it for data brokers and such.

You have great writing & thoughts here bros @BlackHatCoiner, I'm hypnotized by every verse & after I read every verse, I think about it critically. Then I realized everything you said about this era was true. BTC then emerged as something different, not following the mainstream & becoming a cure for people with instant gratification.

Don't you think it's written more about current times and times ahead?

The swiping and attention-grabbing methods of apps like Tiktok and such.. I would see it that way mysel, but maybe you are right too Grin

Once again, you've struck a deep chord with yet another poetic piece. You just put into words what many of us feel but can’t quite explain. The line “you don’t own your thoughts — you rent them from the algorithm” really struck me. It perfectly captures how the digital world has slowly turned us into both the product and the consumer at the same time.

We invest so much including our data, time, energy and even sanity all in our quest to dominate the algorithm. Sometimes, losing our minds in the process and not getting the value we ought to get in return.

The crazy part is how normalized it all feels now. Constant pings, endless feeds and the quiet anxiety of “missing out” have become part of daily life. We call it connection but most days it feels like fragmentation.

And then you brought Bitcoin into the picture, that's a powerful contrast right there. In a world built to steal attention, Bitcoin actually forces you to slow down, think long term and detach from noise. It’s almost poetic how something purely digital can help restore discipline in a digital age.

Thank you for another wonderful poetic piece.

This right here touched deep, we are actually living in a world where attention is now the new money. Everything around us is now fighting for our attention - scrolling through social media, reacting, performing and we are busy calling it freedom. That part about Bitcoin being a detox center? It's hit hard. Bitcoin truly makes you slow down, reflect and move with sense. Bitcoin does not beg for hype and no begging for likes. While others are busy pursuing likes and trends, Bitcoin silently rewards  endurance and self-control. And that's why I respect it" .

~snip
People suck at consistency which is why many of them resort to endless scrolling. One fact I've come to accept is no matter how obvious the profitability and ease of bitcoin investment is not everyone will still take the advantage of it and these are part of the reasons why the rich and poor margin will always exist. Many people are not willing to break out of the debt matrix instead they are waiting for the matrix to miraculously favour them.

These days people are made to feel relax with the debt cycle where they are pretty much like slaves to the system but it is what it is.. a magic turn ain't happening.

Yet, I am reading this on my smartphone. Grin

If someone doesn't have social media in 2025, they would be considered an alien in this society. And I am not gonna lie, I did spend a lot of hours on social media espcially in 2018 and in that period and I guess it was a phase to me now I hate scrolling though but no matter what we try these tech giants are trying to distract us for example Youtube came with shorts to replace tiktok that made youtube as a scrolling platform too.

I always prefer watching long videos like 40 mins or over then only it may have something that we could learn but these evolvement are towards 30-60 second vids and no one will learn anything from it.

We truly live in an era where people are selling their attention like its spare change &  the scariest part is that they dont even realize it.

Ha ha, this system has turned distraction into a business model! When you said Bitcoin is a detox center, that hits really deep. Its the only thing that really forces patience, selfcontrol & longterm thinking. Bitcoin doesnt require likes or followers, it just requires strong belief, conviction. Its kind of crazy that in this world built on dopamine &  manipulation, Bitcoin silently rewards discipline. So, while everyone is taking attention away from the algorithm, Bitcoin users are tbuying back their focus Wink

There is a common say that, many are called only few are chosen. Only a small number of people will actually benefit from the opportunity that Bitcoin offers.

Many young investors have shifted their focus from long term profitability to short term goals. The pursuit of quick gains, over leveraging, and investing in too many altcoins have led them to lose money.

They failed to hold onto Bitcoin when they had the chance, choosing instead to invest in riskier altcoins.

Bitcoin doesn't crave your clicks-- it demands your conviction.
It's the only thing in a world of noise that requires you to sit still and think critically.

In the age of infinite distraction, bitcoin isn't an investment.
It's a detox center for a society addicted to immediate gratification.
This is very complete, a perfect description of the todays reality with relation to Bitcoin. the distraction we experience in this age is such that nearly everyone is distracted and only a few are able to escape the distraction on recent times. Bitcoin teaches you so much discipline that you see beyond just an asset you are Holding but a life transforming journey through the tracks of time. although some persons were able to bring in their indiscipline and regular life into the Bitcoin space but eventually, it did punished them and got them to learn the hard way of which some of them had to leave while the others had to change their ways in other for them to last through the market long enough, and sooner they have become better both in the crypto space and in other aspects and area of their lives.

I agree now to see Bitcoin beyond just the financial value it brings but the lasting live impact it can add to someone's live is another aspect that many are yet to pay attention enough to and explore, i will be doing mor of that after now, even as ai already have a slight idea but this felt like a call to action to paying more attention to that and seeing how well to implementing and having that done even more than i have before now.
