Does that mean we can win more often than we lose? Even in forms of gambling that rely purely on luck, like slot games.

Wrll depends. Can you have some sort of strategy to win on slots? Beating gambling with mindset and discipline sounds noble but it’s like trying to outsmart gravity. You can ride the wave for a while, maybe even look like you’ve cracked the code, but in the end, the math always drags you back down. Your point should be "not all gambling games rely only on luck". As a gambler never neglect the luck factor when playing. For me, yes, especially if you can master controlling your emotions because it will affect how you handle yourself  while you are gambling. Luck, yes, but not all of the time, let's accept that. Even how luck you're lucky, you can't control your emotions and your capital, it's useless.

We should, but luck should only be secondary to skills.

It depends on what games you play, though. For -EV games, it's basically relying on luck since they're unbeatable. For +EV games and P2P, then yeah, luck is a big factor, but skill also affects the outcome. For those who play -EV games and think they're somewhat skilled, that's called the Gambler's Fallacy.
