I wouldn’t cut my stake just to avoid losing too much because in the end, I’d still lose. If you have a bankroll divided into, say, 20 units per stake and you hit a 10-loss streak, would you really lower your stake because of that? I wouldn’t. Eventually, you’d lose the optimism to win, and your mindset would shift from gambling to win, to just trying to survive longer and minimize losses  and that’s just a waste of time.

Actually, sometimes a bettor loses their mind out of frustration of consistent loses, they just throw in everything by the increasing his stake. I have been in a gambling house where a gambler was playing on visual soccer, he played 4 sets with no winning and he doubled the 5th set to chase some of his loses thinking it was his time to win but it was never meant to be. He lost again and this was all he had with him.

For me sticking to a fixed bet during a winning streak is very easy because everything goes as planned. But when I'm on a losing streak, it becomes more difficult because I start to think that a losing streak must be followed by a win, and if I increased my bet, I could recoup my losses faster than if I kept the fixed bet. I think when you're playing for fun with a small bet, this is sometimes acceptable, but if you're playing for big money, there should be no exceptions only a fixed bet.

The most difficult is to get first profitable month. It`s time when you don`t know can you win or not. I was lucky enough - i`ve got win streak right from the beginning, but i was ready to wait.
After it i`ve got few lose streaks, i`ve got loss weeks, but it was easy to remember about bet size rule all the time.
Anyway i can say that it is one of the main rules of getting profit from betting. Even if it is hard - don`t change bet size. And don`t make it to big.

You may increase your base bet to a higher and place a bet and expect that you can win in the rounds. But if you can hold yourself and not think about recovering your losses, you will still use the base bet or stop gambling. I do use this method most of the time on blackjack. I rarely bet on sports betting but I will do the same if I will bet regularly.

Its difficult to maintain a fixed bankroll when we are on a winning or losing streak, its even worse when we are losing because at that point all you can think about it trying to use everything that you have to get what you have loat back and if you are not careful you might end up losing everything. This is correct. You will limit your losses if you will reduce your bet at loss and slightly increase your bet when winning.

But balance gambling is betting fixed no matter what happened and just rely to your luck for a long winning streak to happened before you bust your bankroll.

I rarely use fixed bet since I preferred adjusting my bet based on my situation but this is the strategy perfect for those who just want a hassle free gambling.
