In their Prague event, Trezor introduces Trezor 7 safe. The marketing statement? It is "quantum" ready. Good or bad promotion as if they are anticipating that crypto will be under attack?
Marketing matters... And if they can do that, why not? Even if it's not happening in the next 10 years, you wouldn't want to pay to see. Without bringing new stuff like this, there aren't many reasons to upgrade or to buy the new version when there are so many battle tested devices that just work (even from Trezor itself).
This was their answer when someone asked about it:
Trezor Safe 7 is built with a quantum-ready architecture, meaning it can receive future quantum-secure firmware updates when post-quantum encryption standards arrive.
It’s about being prepared, not pretending quantum threats are solved today.
