Bitcointutorials.org: Sort and organize Bitcoin tutorial videos on YouTube

A friend of mine mentioned https://www.bitcointutorials.org/ to me today. It's a website that contains a total of 774 Bitcoin-related YouTube videos. It allows you to search for specific video tags or creators. You can also filter videos by clicking on the tags visible on the left. It makes finding content specific to your interests easy.

I recommend that you enable only one tag at a time, as this narrows down the search results and excludes videos that don't contain both tags.
The site creator tagged each video with one or more tags himself based on the topics being discussed.
You can watch all videos on the site or click on the YouTube button within the video to watch it on YouTube.

If you want to make suggestions to the site or want it to include certain videos, you can do so over the dedicated GitHub page.


The site has 9 main categories.
Those are:

People more interested in and knowledgeable about Bitcoin will find plenty of great materials in the Technical section of the website. But like you said, Learn me a bitcoin requires plenty of reading, and that will deter many from getting involved. Watching videos isn't the same, but it's an easier activity.

It offers step-by-step guides on using Bitcoin wallets, sending and receiving transactions, security practices The channel is perfect for beginners as well as those who want a deeper understanding of Bitcoin’s technical aspects.

I actually visited the site you shared above and it contains series of videos which I can't even watch all, I was like trying to scroll from top the bottom but seems not ending soon had to exit from it.
What how I have seen the information is organized seems the person behind the site is actually a member of this forum, I could be wrong but no doubt.

Nice website. Some of the videos are really old, but that's probably because no one updated or uploaded an updated version. The idea is very similar to a website tracking HSK levels for Mandarin videos that I used to learn Mandarin, right now, although I'm not sure we can replicate the idea of HSK level here, other than making a category for beginner, intermediate, and so on.

Yes there are individuals preference and this makes it a good innovation, especially since some YouTube channels doesn't teach what's truly correct or something similar, just like we have with some sites/platforms.

There are over 700 videos on the site, so it doesn't make much sense to go through them one by one like that. Instead, categorize them with tags and divide them according to your interests in smaller groups and then take a look at what is being offered.

Rajat Soni and the Bitcoin University have over 2,000 videos combined. That's more than Bitcointutorials' database right now. If the site is a one-man-show, it's going to take him weeks to go through everything to determine what to add to his collection and what not, taking into consideration the existing categories of the site.

There's no public information that the owner is member of Bitcointalk, also they didn't post some info about this site in this forum. So with those information we can assume that they are not here.

Can't deny that site is helpful and provably will bookmark it since this is really helpful for those people want to start their journey on Bitcoin. They don't need to go anywhere since this site provide all those info's they need.



I also like what Tuttle Twins Channel did, which they create engaging animation to make Bitcoin easy to understand by kids and adults.

Thank you for sharing this helpful website. In my estimation, it is useful for all people depending on where whether you want to learn it new or want a refresher. Or even if you need another perspective for better understanding.

Oh, I don't really know much about these Bitcoin youtube channels and I can't recall the last time I used one. This was why I suggested that to BitGoba, I guess he is more vast in that regard

This is a wonderful site and my first time seeing it. The arrangement is nice and choice of explanations is cool. It is a good recommendation for newbies.

I have also checked op, and there are a good number of videos under different categories. 10 years ago people will prefer to read, but today many prefer to watch tutorials.

Thank you for sharing Pmalek. There was a pop up notification asking me if I would like to install the app when I visit the site. Are you aware of the site mobile app? The site interface is not that fancy and a bit laggy. Perhaps, it might be much better viewing with pc but I will still suggest the developer to make the interface more friendly and eye catching.

Reading and watching has disadvantage and advantage itself but for learning, I am quite old man so I would prefer reading books for learning than watching videos for learning.

Videos can be helpful, I don't deny it, but with videos, it's not easy to find the information you need later or when you want to take it as your reference. With reading (books, courses), you can easily go back and search for the information on any page and refer it to other people. It's time saving for your learning through reading while watching consumes more time and also with the mentioned disadvantage.

I think your link is also an addition to the Op because Op's thread is video and yours is an article which the two can work together. When I clicked the link, it has different stages like the Op. It has beginners section which mainly for the newbies in bitcoin and the basics explanation of the innovation and it usage. And the second part is the Technical aspect of bitcoin which explains the workability of bitcoin. Then third/fourth is the tools used in bitcoin and it explorer of Blockchain analysis.

When some watched the videos and also read this together, it would help him in a good way. Thanks you guys for bringing this to the forum.

No, I didn't know that they have a mobile application. I also never opened the site on my phone so I can't comment on any lags that you may be experiencing. I have only visited the site on my desktop, running with uBlock ad blocker and it runs fine on my end.

Regarding the UI and design. Sure, it could look better, but I have personally never paid much attention to that sort of thing. If it does what it's supposed to do, it's fine by me.

If you can learn by any means, and learn accurately, it's good.

Reading, watching, listening are all good for learning progress and as I said, there are times videos can be very helpful but personally I feel texts are more helpful for learning and referencing compares to videos. Learning is not shortly achievable and you will need to spend decent time for learning, hence through your learning process, you will have enough time and chances of using both books, courses written in text and watching videos too.

Andreas Antonopoulos has some books on Bitcoin and he also has his Youtube channel with this playlist for Beginners.

I believe this site is going to be helpful not just to beginners but also to people who don't have sufficient knowledge in Bitcoin and how some things works but it will be more of advantage to those beginners who don't really know anything about Bitcoin, it is going to be more like a foundation class for them and I hope these get to or i hope those folks come across it so that they can learn instead of asking too many questions on how Bitcoin works and how to go about it maybe after watching they will have limit to the kind of questions they would have asked.
