VDM plan to solve Nigeria Electricity with his new power station

My country people i greet una ohhh well to me this news nah very great news for my hears, after I got check how the NAPA have been treating us with electricity it seems to bad, how possible is it that electricity is been sold out to other neighbors countries and some part of the country can not have full access to electricity 24hr

Yes, Nigeria sells electricity to neighbouring countries like Benin, Togo, and Niger, as part of international treaties. The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has recently directed to cap export supply to no more than 6% of the total grid electricity at any given time to prioritize domestic supply, although the country still consistently supplies 24-hour electricity to these nations.

Well I was joyful to see this young ninja guy called VDM was able to take the bull by it horn in ordering a new machine that is called “VDM power station" which is referring  to a recently launched project by Nigerian social activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) to provide affordable electricity to students and the poor, as well as an older, unrelated company called VDM Power. The new initiative, announced in October 2025, aims to make power stations more accessible in Nigeria by selling some for around 70,000 Naira, compared to a market price of about 200,000 Naira. The older company, VDM Power, is a private limited company that has been operating since 1988.

To solve Electricity problems in Nigeria ,  VDM has officially launched the VDM power stations to help university students and those in the ghetto have access to light .  

These power stations currently cost at least 200k in Nigeria but VDM will be selling some for 70k .  He is not interested in any profits .

I have been following what happened when he want to China, with the person that invited him called Ross Boss. He is presently in Germany to enjoy himself where he said people should avoid Ross Boss.

Just know that this is not new in Nigeria. You can browse Jumia and search for Power station. You will see many of them up to 3.6 KWA or more but just that they are expensive.

The one I see with VDM is even small.

The power stations we just power bank with larger capacity and nothing more than that. They can be charged with solar or electric. I even saw one that come with those common generator output cable.

The only problem that we have is that the sellers are adding too much money. We are our own problem in Nigeria while government is also a problem with their expensive clearance fee.

I think we all know the answer to this, unless we want to pretend. The simple truth is that there are people in power and influential people in the society that are making a lot of money from us to have good electricity. So why would you want them to give you good electricity,  so they stop making money,  that can't be possible  because thus people are greedy and very wicked.  I really like what VDM is doing, he is some one with a big heart and he feels the pain of the citizens, so he is just trying what he can to improve electricity for the masses.  He deserves to be commended on what he is doing.

VDM is doing a great work in the country to ensure that the poor and the needy never get cheated by the rich folks.
Those who has contact and connection or relation abroad will order for a goods and sell to us here with high price adding some money to get enough profit when ask they will tell you that dollar is high blaming the government of not doing well, most of the goods sold 100k for eg was actually bought for 10k. I think this is just greed among humans so if there is a way sellers can reduce the price of things then our money will be valuable, also despite things been expensive people are still buying that's also a reason why they keep increasing the price of things.

This is the same thing I've been telling people, the products are available in our malls, just that they are a bit on the expensive side. I'm surprised most people are just getting to know this power station. Our Nigerian sellers are the proper weapon that is fashioning against us, Imagine if this product is selling for less than $100 that VDM is wanting to sell his own, you know how many homes would have this product giving them electricity, and it comes with fan and few bulbs.

Ever since VDM came into limelight he has really done so much for humanity, if we have four of his kind in Nigeria, this country will be better off than the way it is now, if VDM travels out of the country he will find something tangible to imitate from there that will be beneficial to Nigerians unlike our leaders that go there for vacations and enjoyment without copying the development there down here.

VDM has been a pillar and source of hope to the helpless and voice to the voiceless, if he could bring this new power system to Nigeria is will be a plus to Nigerians.. VDM went to China and uncovered so many products that Nigeria importers has been hiking the prices of those goods. This products have been in Nigeria before now but most persons haven't heard about it and it's very expensive too, so if he can import it and then subsidize the price so everyone can afford it, we will surely be grateful to him.

Its indead a welcome development to Nigerians because of lack of electricity in the country but come to think of it Nigeria is truly a comedy ground, how can we be selling 24 hours electricity to other countries when know part if Nigeria can  boost of 10 hours light  a day except for government houses and presidential vila that even have an alternative source of power which means they don't trust there power supply.

If Nigeria has ten of this guy the country would have been better. Honestly speaking I agree with you if Nigeria had more people like this, the country would be a better place. Shey you still remember say a poor person differs across different societal standings, that one dey different from people wey dey suffer from poverty, poor man fit afford basic things but no fit afford to dey fuel generator daily or to go live for areas where light dey very sufficient. Vdm is just a noise maker, the has so many pending projects on his table, he talks a lot without implementing. To me he's losing his value with unnecessary fights. He has lost focus and is disturbing, he can't be trusted with a secret such a person can't lead a revolution. Yet he has the crowd but he's misleading without any tangible achievement rather than personal fight.

The electric he promised won't work again because he's in a fight with Mr Ross the Chinese man that brought him to Chinese market, calling the guy a scammer wasn't nice to me without having any failed transaction with him. VDM is making cool cash from his Chinese trips and you think his only agenda is to bring down the price of expensive goods without making profits for himself in return . Besides, Who will accept to make this type of expensive Trip to China for free without gaining  something in return. VDM is a wonderful person,given the impression that he is doing this for free is false. Although he has claim on several occasions that he is rendering his service for free but that isn't true.
The VDM power station will be helpful to students the most but it cannot solved the major problems of electricity in our country. First & foremost, what should be done to improve the power supplies is to first eradicate corrupt Heads in the power sector coz without that,the power sector will continue to diminish instead of improving.
