So Mark Magsayo will fight Michael Magnesi in a WBC eliminator this Oct 29 in Manila.

The winner gets a shot at O’Shaquie Foster. Magsayo has the power and home crowd, but Magnesi looks tough and hungry too. This fight is also part of the Thrilla in Manila anniversary. Though I’m not really sure if that’s the final date, since I saw in my local bookie that it’s listed on December 7 this year.

If this happens in Manila, that would be great since we don’t get to see big fights in the country anymore. Magsayo should win this one, especially now that Casimero has already lost a lot of his popularity after that recent defeat.

A win here could give Magsayo another shot at a championship fight, he was a champ in this division before so there’s still a chance for him to make a comeback if he keeps improving. can’t wait to see this fight. By the way, do you know what the betting odds are for it?

I'm rooting for Magsayo here. I have not heard about Michael Magnesi, so I don't know how he fights or how good he is, but I think Magsayo will dominate this fight. I mean, I've seen him fight, and he is a strong fighter and a former world title holder.

Looking at the picture of his opponent, he really looks like a badass, so I’m hoping this won’t be a boring fight. It should be a toe-to-toe battle, that’s when boxing is really fun to watch. Judging by the odds, this might not be a tough challenge for Magsayo, but he still has to be careful since a possible championship fight is on the line here.

I don’t have any update on how Filipino boxer performed but the recent humbled defeat by Casimero makes me think that it’s hard to bet on Filipino boxer nowadays compared to the era of Donaire and Pacman that every bet gives an assurance for the win.

Yeah, you're right, my bad. I checked the dates on the articles I saw, and it was posted in August. That explains why the article says the fight will be on October 29.

Thanks to this tips. I stop following Filipino boxer since it’s hard to beat the standard set by the 2 boxer that I mentioned.

Watching the current boxer seems like they will be having a hard time aiming for higher division since Japanese champions like Naoya is giving as a hard time to dominate the division for higher weight.

Magsayo is one of the boxer I frequently heard as decent boxer. I might consider betting on this match.

Foster is supposed to fight Stephen Fulton on the same PBC card. Fulton will be a much tougher opponent for Magsayo if they both win their respective bouts. Fulton looked dominant against Brandon Figueroa who has beaten Magsayo.

Magnesi doesn’t have much experience at the international level, so Magsayo should be a safe bet. What comes next will be the real test. After the upset against Gary Russell, Magsayo has been unsuccessful in championship fights and will likely be an underdog against the Foster vs. Fulton winner.

It's because he throws bomb early in the rounds. And if that didn't hit the target then soon he will gas out. So I do agree that he and his team should really look at this as his weakness because coming championship rounds and you are tired, then even if you are leading in all of the judges scorecard, just one punch will change the complexion of the game.

Definitely, we will support him just like when we support Casimero even though he lost the fight.

I didn't saw Magsayo fought in this card last night, is he not a part of the Thrilla in Manila2 card?
Anyways, congrats to all the winners of the Thrilla in Manila2. Eumir Marcial have an interesting fight, he was knocked down twice but still manage to get the judges nod. Melvin Jerusalem also got a convincing win.

I guess Magsayo will fight in the US in December.
