Gamble no more than 4 days per month: I don't know how easy this will be for many gamblers because even around me, gamblers don't just gamble 4 times in a month. It will be easier for those who don't have Android phones   or those who are really busy with office work and barely have time, just on weekends. But this is reasonable and will help to reduce addiction if we have the emotional control. My suggestion is, to gamble four times in a month, you have to focus on few games or sports, maybe just focus of football and particularly with few leagues.

Avoid regularly gambling at more than 2 types of games: Yes like I suggested above, if you are playing on many games you will have that push to always gamble but the fewer the games the lesser times you gamble.

Just kidding, actually it's easy on paper but it's the will behind the driving factor.

My game choices are limited by primarily avoiding slots and simply sticking to simple house games like roulette, crash and sportsbetting but man, there were times I had the impulse to go all in when I started losing small(er) amounts even if I were to win a larger sum some days prior.

When I started during the mid-2010s, I was a degen but thankfully after facing rugpulls and market crashes, it really shaped me to invest most of my funds instead of hoping to double/ triple them in casinos.

So typically my losses are kept to 1 or 2 digits per gamba "session" but I still feel content and am able to stop for quite some time.

1% of monthly income is good for gambling but that should be only when you have money left for savings. If no money left for savings or if the money left for savings is not enough, it is better not to gamble at all.

I prefer just 1% but sometimes I go up to 2%. I was going up to 5% before but I just decided to reduce it and gambling is still fun for me.

Yes, I gamble just few days a week and that is on Saturdays and Sundays while relaxing and not doing anything. When I stopped gambling during weekdays, it helped me to be able to use just small amount of money to gamble.

Why not, a low income earner should always find a place where they can read about a reminder that they need to manage their income. You know some people over shoot on their budget or plan to gamble.

So what do you say about an addict who is also a low income earner? He would gamble and live in hope that he will win. This is what happens most times in gamble and the result is not favourable. Winning don't come all the time, someone need the reminder. This is not only about low income earner.

Now imagine users in this forum who live in a country where the reward from signature campaign enough to cover their monthly needs, let's say $400/month or $4,8K annually. So technically they should only gamble $4 per month, it's like every weekend they can only bet $1 on one match.

I don't think it work that way, lower income earners can still enjoy the life even though it's little. It's back to that person what will they choose either enjoy when they have higher income or enjoy whatever amount they made.

The problem I see with these recommendations is that the world simply doesn't work that way. People don't make a perfect plan for gambling, setting a maximum amount to bet in relation to their income, the maximum number of days per month, etc., and then stick to it religiously. Following Kelly Criterion money management method is more effective if you ask me when compared to this restrictive style of gambling op. Most gamblers aren't strong enough to resist their gambling addictions which is why it's quite difficult for them to follow your system.

I propose sticking to parlays instead where you can gamble with miniscule amounts regularly in order to try and win big someday.

Seems reasonable to me, but i blindly trust it by counting my income only.
People have different expenses with different priorities, so i would start the counting my budget after those expenses that are necessities.

This is gambling thread, and when people are talking about responsible gambling that reduces the risk on your finances, wouldn't you rather embrace it then make quitting only alternative to high risk?

Risk management is an important skill, and imho you make it sound like there are no point reducing risks when you can have no risks at all. I've seen many gamblers struggling with responsibility, because they can't gamble moderately, and imho it's cool when people offer them more alternative tools then just quitting.

I see this comment as off topic mate, i know you just stated the obvious truth, but since this is a gambling board discussion there is no relevance to this comment, he simply ask about low risk gambling and how to finance out gambling activities, this are somewhat a straightforward questions that every active gambling board member should have idea of how important is low spending to gamble and limiting the gambling time is also most important.

In my case, I do the following: I put a small amount as my bankroll, something I can afford to lose. Then, I place only one bet per week. I don't place bets on many games. I avoid doing this because it would waste my time at the bookmaker and could make me lose my entire bankroll quickly.

I only place bets on games from the major leagues and also on European Champions League games. So, there are some weeks when there are European Champions League games, I place two bets: one for the Champions League and another on the weekend for the major league games.

Not that there's actually anything wrong with this but risking such a low amount is almost the same as not even gambling at all, but like I said there's nothing wrong with it, the level of carefulness is what surprises me. Personally I think it's ideal to use at least 10 percent of those amounts a month as your bankroll and divide that amount into the number of days that you are going go be gambling

I usually bet more often on weekends with a budget limit that I have set based on my weekly income. The amount is certainly not large, but I can make a few bets. On weekdays, I am quite busy with work, which makes me tired. So I do not want to use my break time to make bets, even though it is very simple.
I usually bet regularly during major events like the World Cup. Some matches attract attention and are too good to miss.

I believe, it is natural that one cannot change their finances in tight situations with the tight income. Each dollar gained may be intended before it goes to the recipient. Such situation makes one view financial planning as a luxury to live in.

They do not not care it is just that they have so little choice. In other cases, advice is not the solution, but an atmosphere where they may have the chance to live less stressed as they will not always be bothered with the lack of money.

Greed gets easily fueled up these days..  okay, let's talk about a strategy that once dominated the gambling pool, creating a very different mindset in every gambler's head and leaving them with no choice but to increase their stakes for each round of the game.. you should already know what I'm talking about-- The martingale strategy!
Thousands were caught in a lifetime bondage of of trying to win from an increasingly high stake, not until people started realizing that this strategy is no good, and the best way to succeed ( if you must) is bankroll management.

this is ideal of course but honestly no one earning $100,000 monthly would only be gambling $100 even though that’s the ideal amount as to not cause massive losses

i guess it’s fine to keep gambling as long as you only spend $100 and if you wanna keep playing, better pray you win

Exactly what I’m thinking. Why someone that doesn’t want risk still gamble. It’s not mandatory to gamble since it’s just for entertainment so it’s better to completely avoid rather than making things complicated such as setting this limit just because you don’t want risk.

I have no disagreement on setting the amount that you will gamble but forcing yourself to follow the low budget just because you want low risk is a bit not suitable for gambling at all.

I believe to just play whatever you can afford to lose that will give you an entertainment.
