I prefer just 1% but sometimes I go up to 2%. I was going up to 5% before but I just decided to reduce it and gambling is still fun for me.

Yes, I gamble just few days a week and that is on Saturdays and Sundays while relaxing and not doing anything. When I stopped gambling during weekdays, it helped me to be able to use just small amount of money to gamble.

My suggestion is, to gamble four times in a month, you have to focus on few games or sports, maybe just focus of football and particularly with few leagues.

I don’t think this case is widespread since most low earner that I knew avoid gambling and focus on their work. They don’t have much free time for gambling.

I am not sure how widespread or not it is but I was speaking  from the experiences I have seen with many low income people I have made contacts with in years. On the stables of those whose work keeps them occupied, they try to utilise it to rest with  with family and other important functions, so gambling sure wouldn't be their thing.

However, I also read on some articles before that on some countries that poverty is high this case is a normal scenario. This is a case to case basis but giving warning is not bad at all since the intention is to limit the damage from the poor that shouldn’t be gambling at all

These are good tips for reducing the risks of gambling, but I doubt many gamblers will adhere to these three seemingly simple steps, as they are difficult to implement in practice because it's hard for a gambler to change their habits.

The rules OP mentioned are pretty good, but I don't think if someone likes gambling too much will refrain himself to gambling only four days a month.

Also casinos are very good in grabbing attention of people who developed gambling habit,so one should block casinos offers and special bonuses on their e-mail.

I am not opposed to the idea that caution is the means to be employed initially. However, when most suffer great losses many learn the lesson despite the warning signs being evident. With my current gambling happen I think I fall under the low risk gamblers, although the Frequency of my bets are a bit higher than 4 days in a month. It is not fixed but sometimes it can be more than 4 days in a month while other times it can be lower or I can even go loser than four days in a month.

While for the money being spent on gambling, I have mentioned it couple of times I usually deposit very small amount sometimes the minimum allowed, so it’s even lower than my yearly household income, which means I’m spending healthily on gambling and not spending money lavishly. I’m actually proud of it because it was becoming problematic for me and I’ve been able to control myself up to their level.

Dude,,, I see that here it is even stricter than mine, because I personally thought that gambling below 5% is the lowest risk zone, in this case, if someone gambles with a separate budget below 5% of their monthly income, I thought that they should not have any financial problems. Now I see that such websites or platforms are teaching me even stricter language.

You did not read the information right from the first post. It is $10,000 yearly income and that gives you a gambling budget of $8 per month. That would be $96 per year, which is just short of 1% of $10,000. There are very few people who earn $10k or more per month and they would have a budget of $100 per month to be in the safe zone. There is nothing wrong with gambling in small amounts. Perhaps you are spending too much time on gambling sites per month, which is blinding your judgement here.

 

1% of my income is way too much for me to gamble with, I would prefer going with 0.5% of my income. I know some people might say that this amount is way too small to go with, of course is individuals choice to decide the  amount that is suitable for them to go with. for me I would prefer staking with 0.5% of my monthly income per bet  as this is the amount which i know I can easily do away with.

You are spending a lot more than 1% on other things that you don't need or that are worthless.

That 1% per month to gamble with is more than enough if the annual income is a lot. But for the lesser ones, they need to budget it wisely and follow that so that they won't go more than the threshold they set.

The percentages work the same at every level of income, there is nothing to adjust if you earn less. 1% of your income is the same to you regardless of what your income is.

I also agree with that, it's the priority of every gambler. They need to allot first the money that's for their family and all of the expenses that he's shouldering. By the time that he's done with all of it, then that's the best time for them to start picking some amounts from what's left on their pockets. Avoid regularly gambling at more than 2 types of games: Yes like I suggested above, if you are playing on many games you will have that push to always gamble but the fewer the games the lesser times you gamble.

you know, most gamblers get into trouble because they dont set any limits &  are in a hurry to get back the money they lose unnecessarily.
But yeah,, , gamblin only 4 days a month is a completely different discipline, imo ! Especially when live betting &  various apps keep us entertained 24 hours a day.

I would say that the real lowrisk strategy is not just about the frequency of your play but also about playing with a cool head &  no emotions. If you look at it from an entertainment perspective &  not as a way to make money, then in my opinion, you will find it much more enjoyable to win big by placing small bets
