There is no gambling like low risk, every gambler is a high risk gambler. Every aspect of gambling involves risk very high risk, the more you lose the more you have hopes of winning and you put in more money. Gambling is very risky

I think that a person who gamble rarely, or only during sports of life events, is a low risk gambler. A person who earns good and gamble for fun is a low risk gambler. All people who dont see gambling as an opportunity to change their finances in positive way is a low risk gambler. Low risk not only losing and winning; people risk with their current mood and addiction development. Imo you can risk with various things in gambling, not only with money.

There is nothing more than being able to stay disciplined at all cost no matter how tempted it can be, it is much easier to setup a bank role budget for gambling activities either weekly or monthly than keeping terms to it, it requires focus, determination and courage because most times we do end up doing what we don't want to do and that can get us in to trouble, another definition of a low risk gambler is a responsible gambler, every responsible gamble must be a low risk gambler in the sense that they don't gamble anywhere close to getting being considered high risk.
But the problem is that most gamblers don't want to be bound by the rules and so they end up losing more money. I remember when I was new to gambling, gambling was more important to me than anything else. Times change and financial crises brought me back to my senses. But most gamblers lose so much and become addicted that they lose a lot of money.

By low risk in gambling I mean that you must limit your bankroll allocation. Without limiting the amount of money you have to gamble, you cannot control yourself from getting addicted. High risk in gambling is when you cannot manage your bankroll properly.
For some people who haven't set limits on their gambling, they will naturally spend a lot of money while gambling. If you can recognize this during a financial crisis, this is certainly a valuable lesson. When you return to gambling, you will play in a controlled manner and won't spend more money, which can lead to financial difficulties.
I agree with your opinion that by limiting the amount of bets we will use when betting, we will certainly be able to reduce the risk of addiction to gambling, but we must also comply with the rules we have made for ourselves so that we do not experience financial problems.

And the most important thing is to control and manage these risks, gambling is only harmful to those who gamble incorrectly, and do not learn from it even after making mistakes, they always remain in this mistake and they can never change themselves, as a result they always fail and remain in huge losses. Everything depends on control and management, if you are right in your own way, gambling will not cause you any harm, there is no need to explain these things because we already know them very well, only if you follow them correctly, everything will be right.

Yes, I agree with you that the essence of low-risk gamblers are those who do not consider gambling as an activity to change their financial situation for the better, this also means that low-risk gamblers are those who do not prioritize gambling, the reason is most likely because they understand and comprehend what gambling really means, when you do not prioritize an activity then your involvement in it will also not be too intense, from here it can also be concluded that when you gamble more often even for example with a small budget you can still be called a high-risk gambler, because in gambling the more often you play the more often you lose.

There are rules for managing risk and moving up in limits, just like in poker, which I really loved. The idea was that if we're playing well, we simply move up a level; if we beat our opponents, our bankroll grows. And if we can't beat them and lose money, we simply drop down to a lower limit to build it up again. Basically, I thought I had it under control like the pros because I'd learned a lot from them, but in the end, I wasn't prepared. When I started losing at a certain limit, I couldn't move down while controlling my bet size, so I stayed and ended up losing most of my bankroll. Sometimes I think about it and look at other players, and I've come to the conclusion that they simply can't play small bets because tilt will inevitably test their mettle, and almost everyone will be trying to win back their losses.

Most new gamblers do not set any limits when gambling, which is why they try to continue gambling as long as they can afford. At some point, when they lose a lot, they realize how much they have lost, but at that time they cannot come back from it even if they want. Due to excessive losses, they gamble to recover that money, and at some point they become addicted gamblers. If a gambler could have set a limit on the amount of money he can lose before gambling, he would definitely have been able to profit from gambling. When a gambler sets a limit on gambling, he starts reducing his gambling addiction and financial risks. That is why setting a limit on gambling is a very important task for a gambler.

Problems arise when you treat gambling as a quick way to make easy money. I often meet people who treat gambling as a path to wealth, of course, without realizing it, such individuals take on greater risks compared to others who gamble purely for entertainment.

I would like to make a small correction here and that is that those persons who rarely gamble cannot be called low risk gamblers, because there are many gamblers who gamble for certain seasons but they stake amounts beyond their ability to lose and even if they lose, in that case we can never call them low risk gamblers or responsible gamblers.

Low risk gamblers are basically those who bet very small amounts within their ability to lose, we also call them responsible gamblers. And in this case, even if they have been gambling responsibly for a full year on a regular basis, we would still consider them to be low risk gamblers.

A lot of people are going to look at the OP numbers and think they're crazy.  I'm sure most people in here gamble more than 1% of their net worth daily...

I think you can also be a low risk gambler by gambling on low risk games.  Plinko for example has an option where something like 99% of user funds are paid back.  Very low risk.  You can gamble $10K on that game and know that you won't lose a massive amount.

I used to bet daily on basketball parlays.  My bets were usually under $5.  Not a huge amount.  If I lost every bet it wouldn't really make a difference in my life.

Just avoid making huge risky bets and I think it's fine.  You might have to cut out the Starbucks, but I don't think anyone goes broke gambling a couple dollars daily.

This is indeed a very risky way to approach gambling because a lot is at stake. Gambling for money simply means you’re willing to do what you have to, just to make sure you achieve your goal, even if it means spending more than you’re meant to, take risks you’re not meant to. And when gamblers start treading on this path, it becomes pretty easy for their emotions to get involved and like we already know, this is the easiest way to lose control

I think that those who are able to gamble four times a month have no problems with gambling. For others, however, these tips will be difficult to implement. If a person gambles regularly and is already accustomed to doing so, gambling will periodically occupy their mind, and if they suddenly stop gambling regularly, other problems may arise. However, if a gambler has really big problems, then it is imperative to reduce the time spent on gambling.

As for gambling 1% of the family income, this is very good advice, but in practice, again, few people will follow this advice. In general, you need to be sensible with your money. some people may not spend a lot of money on gambling, but instead spend it on some meaningless nonsense.

As for betting systems, everyone has their own preferences in this regard; many people play without systems and enjoy it. So there are plenty of systems that reduce risk, but again, not everyone may like them.

Of course if they're nothing good to write about as a responsible gambler then it's all nonsense to even have prove to someone that you're not a gambling coward. For goodness sake a responsible gambler will always play it in the moderate manners so that the don't have to o regret their actions in time.
Yes, I think it's appropriate to play in moderation, and that's something we should always consider I always emphasize playing with little money because that way I get satisfaction, I'm guaranteed not to lose more than I shouldn't and I get my benefit The most sought-after benefit is money, but if I don't get it, at least I have the fun, and in the end that's what counts.

That can only happen if you're able to control yourself after a loss, but in reality? Yes, most gamblers actually increase their bets after a loss instead of starting small and ultimately lose all their money.
It's a fact that things can go very badly when emotions get involved, but that can only be avoided if you gamble responsibly from the start.
In conclusion, responsible gambling is likely only possible if the gambler doesn't prioritize winning from the start.

Then we need to define what is the risk for low risk gambler. Is it a risk of losing money? Or a risk of getting addicted to gambling? Or a risk of failing to earn with gambling? There are +3 different goals that a gambler try to follow.

A guy who bets small amount I would not be 100% sure that this guy is a low risk gambler. It could be his tactics to bet small. Or that person is limited with finances. Or the purpose of small bets is to kill as much as possible time in gambling.

It would be normal for a person to spend 1% of their total income on gambling and they would be able to protect themselves from big losses, but it is difficult to say who would be satisfied with gambling with this amount of money. Most gamblers will not be satisfied with gambling for just $8 a month. And not everyone's annual household income may be $10k. In my country, a government official gets a salary of not more than $250 a month. So this is his annual income of only $3k, and in this case his monthly gambling budget should be only $2.5. 1% of total income is not enough to be satisfied with gambling and I don't think anyone can follow this limitation. And when someone cannot follow his own limitation, he will easily become addicted to gambling.
Wow, a civil servant gets paid $250? I wish our officials got salaries like that. It's hard to believe. In my country, the minimum is $10,000. Plus, there are plenty of other benefits. They can definitely afford to gamble on 1% of their salary. If you add up all the extra benefits, it's a significant amount. But the poor people can't afford to gamble, as they only have enough money for the bare necessities. Basic needs and nothing more. In such a financial situation, few people gamble.

You conveyed each point well. It is important to set your gambling goals first, ask yourself whether you are gambling to make money to supplement your income or simply for fun. Problems arise when you treat gambling as a quick way to make easy money. I often meet people who treat gambling as a path to wealth, of course, without realizing it, such individuals take on greater risks compared to others who gamble purely for entertainment.
There are also many gamblers who gamble just for fun who like to take risks. Problems can arise in either way. Whether you consider gambling as a way to make money or for fun. Many people think that only the poor are more addicted, but they only see what is within their own boundaries. They do not realize that there may be more addicted gamblers among wealthy gamblers. The more risk takers the more likely they are to lose and even become addicted. To reduce the risk of gambling you should not only play for fun but also exercise self control.

But if we don't get the money, at least we can enjoy the pleasure, this you have to make sure. Most gamblers don't want to lose, they can't accept losses in any way, and that's the biggest problem. Here you are looking for entertainment, so the game should only be a place of pleasure, have control over yourself, and never be afraid of unexpected losses, don't play with an amount that you can't afford to lose, this is a simple facts.  Wink

Social class or financial background does not determine who will be prone to gambling addiction, it depends on the individual. As you said, the key lies in good self-control and a person initial goal for gambling. Rich or poor people basically have the same potential to experience addiction if they gamble until they go beyond their limits, especially if they make gambling a means to seek money rather than just for entertainment.

Bet moderately, in small amounts, and try not to spend all your free time just gambling. I think if a gambler can do that, they will never go bankrupt, and they will avoid addiction. It is easier to accept losing a small amount of money, even though you may never completely forget it.

There is no gambling like low risk, every gambler is a high risk gambler. Every aspect of gambling involves risk very high risk, the more you lose the more you have hopes of winning and you put in more money. Gambling is very risky

Yes, i think that all people who gamble for fun with discreet money reduce the risk of losing money. Gambling is primarily for fun, not to change our financial system. When a person views gambling in a natural way and gambles with the money left over after deducting all his necessary expenses, and does not indulge in excessive greed, and has self-control by controlling his emotions, gambling for fun, the risk of losing money in gambling is reduced.

That's right mate, no gamblers want to lose, we all want to win. It is very hard to accept loss that is why many people who lost their bets keep on gambling because they all want to recover from their losses as they can not accept defeats. But the truth of it that no matter how hard gamblers try to recover from their losses, they keep on losing because there is no guarantee to winning and recovering from losses. If gamblers could gamble for entertainment it will be more better because they would always gamble with what they can afford to risk.
