Hello my pipo. I saw a trending post on Facebook for Charles Awuzie timeline, on how China d move to regulate their social media influences wey be sae if you no get  university degree or you no d knowledgeable for certain field, you won't be allow to discuss professional topics for China.

To you, do you think this kind move make sense as we see social media na means wey people the share their thoughts, knowledge and give opinions on certain topics raises be it political, hospitality, career, religion, customs, belief etc

What of if our Nigeria government chose to do the same in the future, for any Nigeria to engage any professional topics, they must have a degree or show strong competency with years of work experience.

What's your thoughts about this? do you think we go d good with am as there are many people for the country wey d provide medical advises, counseling and financial advises without studying or having expertise on am.

I honestly think Nigeria should emulate China in regulating social media influences, in Nigeria you see where social media influencers fake their death just for view and to trend, that's misleading the public. Yesterday I came across a post made by one social media influencers claiming that another social media influencer went on a Trekking marathon and was shoot to death by an unknown person and that story has gone viral, people started pouring in tons of comments and sympathizing with him not knowing it's all lies and they did that just to get engagements on the post for monetization.

Nigeria should key into it, in other to sanitize the system where people will just come on social media and spread false news because they want engagements on their posts. I know social media is a means where vital informations are been disseminated but when it's been abused by social media influencers it now becomes worrisome and should be check mate by the right authorities.

It might seem that the Chinese government is being too mean on there social media users but in other words they're actually filtering and regulating the kind of people that should be there so that there will not be somebody who will contribute negatively, so what I'm observing is that they want to keep it as a place of learning and competing for technical knowledge and some other useful things. If this is to be done I Nigeria I wouldn't encourage it that much because government has never been in support of how we learn or whether our academic system is good so if they cannot assist the physical they definitely wouldn't be doing it for learning purpose.
