I intend to create this thread because it's what is trending now on the internet.

Image illustration below says it all, FIFA awarded the same amount of money to two different countries to establish their standard stadium and here's the outcome from what each of them have achieved so far, while we are talking of $1.2 million.

How it started With Nigeria.

The project was intended for two specific locations in Nigeria, one was successful and the other abandoned, the successful one is that which we see being compared to kenyan same awarded stadium, what is going on, if the head is bad, what could the body have done, politics and corruption in today's era.

With this positive trajectory, expectations naturally grew for indigenous players to expand into sports hardware production, facility development, and stadium construction. Take this stuff to your local board and don't bring this here. It doesn't belongs to this board. This is an old news and nothing strange here because I've seen this for the past few weeks before now. I don't think there is anything new to discuss here if a country decides to spend money that is meant for development of a studium on something less valuable. This is not a stadium but a place to watch street matches.

It looks fake and taken out of context. FIFA and UEFA indeed investing money into making football infrastructure in developping countries. And as in your quoted article written, money is allocated for mini stadiums which will be used for training. So, I don't see nothing wrong with stadium in 1st picture.
While second stadium doesn't belongs there. It's huge stadium that costs probably not less than $100 millions and FIFA doesn't invest into building of such stadiums. I think you're just tryingto show your country in bad light.

This is really a mess i must say if both countries were given same amount in allocation its better we have nothing on ground than this wasted project that the football body undertook like this, such a big shame on them i must confess i wonder why Nigeria can never do something that other countries can copy rather they are always settling so much for less which is not good for our sport development and players performance.

You should not believe everything about this news. FIFA awarded different countries with sums of money but those money that were awarded by FIFA to these countries wasn’t meant for one purpose. If you read the allocation the money that FIFA awarded was split and meant for different reasons.
The stadium is question isn’t an ultra modern stadium and FIFA was interested in grassroots football development.

The Nigerian football federation is on the case to clear this news and we should give them attention to know more about what the money sent by FIFA was for and how they used it.

Not everything should be taken to the local board, are we not discussing about Russia and Ukraine or any other countries on the politics and society board here, this applies to any country to be discussed here aside the local board.

The earlier the better for them to clear the air, because what is worth doing is worth doing well, at least they should be accountable to how it was being utilized, this will encourage for more in the future and also attracted more trust on them.

Don't get it all wrong here, this is not what I quoted please, it's there on the Internet and trending, my concern is to see if truly that they got to receive the same amount and yet built a substandard one, though the cost of maintenance could be different from each country, as well as exchange rate, it could be as well that the Kenyan government added to the money given to build a modern standard stadium, anything could have just been the reason which were can't predict the actual conditions, no one is trying to paint anything here, we are only discussing it.

The truth is that the Kenya's stadium that is compared to the Nigerian stadium is not the same, the Kanye football federation built that stadium, you can actually observe that the Kenya's stadium is way more than $1.2 million and it's way bigger than the Nigerian own, the comparism was just a desperate attempt to rubbish the NFF due to their mismanagement and the shadow stadium they built Kebbi State. FIFA and CAF needs to call for a comprehensive probe of how the NFF spend the funds they usually get for projects because it's already looking like a massive crime scene with what is happening.

And you believe NFF? They lie so much, NFF that can't even manage the Nigeria premier League properly. The welfare of players stolen by NFF staff.  This is Internet age, the picture of the Kenya stadium is real, NFF just want to protect their ego and shame,  the mainstream media has also used the picture for their news so it's real. Don't be listening to Nigeria corrupt leaders. From my perspective, the stadium in Birnin Kebbi appears to be a product of corruption. I can confidently say that the level of corruption in Nigeria is alarmingly high. A comparison of the two stadia reveals a stark difference, highlighting the issue. The government agencies responsible for overseeing such projects are failing to ensure accountability and transparency, allowing contractors to deliver subpar work without consequences.

Things are coming to light now, the former NFF president has taken it to the media addressing the issue not being mismanaged, as against the information release from FIFA that the Kebbi project was not transferable enough, he said they monitored every bit that was spent on the stadium was well utilized and not diverted, you can check for more information and reference added from the link below.

I don't trust any government official because almost all of them are corrupt. They can take advantage of any opportunity to steal from the country's commonwealth. Corruption has caused so much pain to the people because funds allocated for developmental projects have been siphoned. But this news about the stadium in Kenya and Nigeria, financed by FIFA with the same amount, is fake. There is nothing to discuss in this thread anymore since we now know the truth. This thread should be locked to avoid spreading misinformation.

This is false and politically motivated by Dino Melaye in a bid to attack the Nigerian government. The stadium in Kenya is not being funded by FIFA and it isn't having a budget of $1.2m. Actually that stadium is fully funded by the Kenyan government

The Talanta Stadium is a multi-sports arena under construction in Nairobi, Kenya. The facility is earmarked to host matches for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which Kenya will co-host alongside Tanzania and Uganda.

According to The Times Kenya , a local publication, Talanta Sports City Stadium “will cost the taxpayer Sh44.7 billion,” estimated to be around $344.5 million.
