Been lurking here for a long time. I first joined Bitcointalk somewhere around 2010–2011 — back when Bitcoin still felt like an experiment, and you could read posts from Satoshi or early devs without realizing how historic it would all become.
This forum was everything back then. No influencers, no YouTube “experts,” no alpha groups — just raw ideas, code, and late-night threads trying to figure out what the hell Bitcoin actually was. I learned pretty much everything I know about BTC right here.
Made this current account in 2017, but truth is, I’ve always been more of a reader than a talker. Guess that still makes me a “newbie” in posting terms 😅 — but I’ve probably spent more hours reading threads on this forum than on any other site in my life.
Seeing how far Bitcoin has come — and remembering that so much of its story started right here — still blows my mind sometimes.
Just wondering if anyone else followed a similar path? Lurking through the wild early threads, learning quietly, watching history unfold before most of the world even cared.
Would be great to hear from others who began their crypto journey here too.
