After many years of speculation, Manny Pacquiao may finally be getting the opportunity to avenge his loss against Floyd Mayweather in a fight to be aired on Netflix in 2026.

The first fight did not live up to the hype but was a massive success financially and set a new record for PPV buys that is unlikely to be surpassed, with most big events now going to streaming services instead.

Both fighters are now 46 and 48 years old, but Pacquiao is still a viable contender, having recently fought WBC champion Mario Barrios to a draw, while Mayweather has remained active in exhibition fights.

Well, this is an exhibition fight. In recent years, the most interesting fights are exhibition fights. When the stars of the past years meet. Of course, there are already past their primes. And there are fans who also says that Floyd fought a damage Manny and then Pacquiao admitted that he has shoulder problems during their fight. But for the sake of business and making easy money for both, then this fight has to be made.

I think I read that Mayweather also interested to fight Pacquaio on a exhibition match when he goes active again. He like the idea of making fight to happen especially that this is been hosted by Netflix.

So I guess what they need is proper negotiation since both camp have interest so let's hope that they can seal the deal since this will be an historic exhibition fight between these two legends.

Lots of boxing fans in the world would provably get hype in this idea so will see what will happen next to it. But I think there's no problem on Pacquiao side since they automatically agree on this, the problem is with Mayweather fight since for sure they would ask lots of condition before they agree on this fight.

Probably from shape condition Pacquiao is more good because he is still active to his professional fight that his last fight happened on July this year from Mario Barrios but Mayweather latest fight on 2017 but we all know Mayweather is the best boxer in the welterweight and if this fight really happened i think Mayweather have good chances to extend his good record from Pacquiao

I didn't watch their first fight which was also the only contest between both of them since 2015 till now, but the headlines on many news papers I read, gave the full details of how great that fight was and also it have been mostly talked about, if you know, you know (12 rounds of fight is not a teens play). Manny Pacquiao must have had other fights which someone could think that he's at an advantage to defeat Mayweather this time, but we should also recalled that Mayweather has not been sleeping all these years, he always visits the gym and trains his muscles and fist always, I think he is in a better chance to defeat Manny, I could be wrong.

I have seen Pacquiao's aggression against Barrios, and I can say he still has it. I cannot tell if Mayweather can fight Pacquiao at a competitive level, though, because he is fighting in an exhibition match, but he still has that defence.
In their last fight, Pacquiao fought with a broken arm and still held on til the last round. So, a healthy and competitive Pacquiao will have an edge against a semi-retired Mayweather. I hope the fight happens; this will create a big buzz in the boxing community.

I am also pretty sure that Mayweather will again win this match, and for sure, this will be a "marathon".  Pacquiao need to gear up for a "long-distance" running if he wants to have a chance lol.

We already saw how this works, I recall in one of his fight that the referee step-in (breaking the two boxer's engagement) when Mayweather was hit with a solid punch.  We can see the look of worry on that referee's face.

I highly agree but this is just for entertainment and for the money so we not need to be serious about this fight.  Though I wonder if they can duplicate their record this time.

The marketing of this fight will be more important than the fight itself.

The fight could’ve happened, but unfortunately there was news that Romero had to face his mandatory challenger or he’d lose his belt. So the Pacquiao fight got compromised because of that.

There was no question about Mayweather’s win in their first fight, most fans actually agreed he deserved it. The problem was people weren’t happy with how the fight went. They paid expecting to be entertained, but instead, it turned into a running match sponsored by Mayweather. Pacman couldn’t really unleash his power because he couldn’t land clean shots due to Floyd’s defensive style.

So now, we’re just hoping things will be different this time. But if this one’s just an exhibition fight, then maybe it’s better that way. Even if Mayweather loses, he can always say it doesn’t count since it’s not a pro fight and his undefeated record stays untouched.

These two should have had a rematch after their first bout. It took a long time, but it's still worth it. Manny is still in top form, while Mayweather still has those slick moves; both fighters are still competitive in their age and still making millions.
