Anyone noticed the new captcha? Looks way better than the old one

I just got active again recently and noticed there’s a new captcha showing up when logging in. Not sure if it’s already rolled out for everyone, but it looks different, like AI-generated objects where you just click the one that doesn’t match.

Honestly, I like it. It’s much easier to solve than the old one, which was so annoying especially if your internet was slow.

Anyone else seeing this new captcha too?

IIRC, bitcointalk used google's recaptcha, right? I'm not sure, as I haven't had to log in for many months (infinite session).

Yeah, few days ago it was still the old reCAPTCHA style, so I guess they just started using hCaptcha today.

Yes, after seeing your post I tested it on a new browser. The new captcha is actually much easier than the old one. Sometimes it may take 2-3 tries to complete the old captcha. But I succeeded in the new captcha the first time. Another thing is that the old captcha could be bypassed with various extensions. But I think the new captcha will be difficult for bots to bypass, and it will be easier for real humans to solve the problem.

yeah I just checked my too I noticed the change, and I believe this hcaptcha was changed today, because I remember vividly that I logout my account yesterday and re-login again do to unstable network in my current location, and it was still the old recaptcha that was still there when I was relogin back yesterday, and this hcaptcha is more easier than the the old  one I just tried ones and it worked, but in the old one sometimes I try almost five times before getting it correctly. And thanks to you OP for the update at least a lot of people will be aware of the change before coming across it.

From my personal experience, hcaptcha is less annoying when you use VPN, Tor or similar stuff. So personally i welcome this change.

I don't know about you but Recaptcha was really a pain in the ass. Here are some complains in the past:

• Spent more than 5-6 minutes on verifying captcha while login on bitcointalk.
• Captcha of the forum harder to solve when incognito mode?
• To login I had to go thru over 50 captcha is this normal?
• Annoying CAPTCHAS

How many times that we have click the faucet? Or that motorcycle?

But with the recent hCaptcha, it's much better and smooth, challenges are very simple, as for humans it's very easy for us to identify those wrong objects in a series of pictures.

When I visit this forum with IP address, I do not have captcha issue at all, it is solved within 10 seconds, but when I am using VPN set to some location or while using Tor on this forum, the captcha can be annoying but I have the link that I can bypass the captcha bookmarked somehow that is easy for me to copy and paste.

Yes, I just logged out and logged back in, just to see how the new captcha looks like. It seems to respond even much faster than the previous recaptcha. And it's more responsive.

Wow..good work from Power glove or whoever did this change to hcaptcha. It used to be a headache for me to easily login with the former captcha. Sometimes, I spend more than five minutes clicking on the captcha just to login and most times it's always frustrating especially, when I plan not to spend much time in the forum. However, I always think that the fault was from my end, I don't know that some forum members are also experiencing this. I just login and it is very easy without delay. I am happy that the problem is solved with the new captcha.

I just checked now and you are right it has been changed, good job from the management, I love it when a site or app is always updated this is a wonderful update I love it.
I didn't realize this because I usually click on that Always stay login button so even if I'm using my borrower for a different thing and I want to enter the forum I'm always login so that is why I wouldn't have noticed this changed if not that you talked about it by creating this thread.
The Bitcointalk forum management is really trying right now this forum is the best place for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency discussion, it has been the best and is still maintaining that standard.

I wanted to come and inform the forum about the new captcha but as I see your thread, I have to make a comment. Frankly Speaking this new captcha is much more better compared to the former captcha which was given someone headache sometimes. In the former captcha, sometimes I would be trying to login for more the 5 times. Mostly bicycles and motorcycles were the problem I was having. I really appreciate PowerGlove with his playing around the keyboard. Whenever he is playing on the keys, new inspiration/ideas would come to him to design new things. Well done for the new captcha. I like it very much because it makes login easy for real human.

finally a modern captcha, the one we had before really couldn't be seen anymore in 2025, this one is definitely easier to solve

It’s much easier to solve than the previous captcha that sometimes failed even though you choose the right answer. This time the correct answer is pretty obvious.

I like the way that you need to drag same shape or click the non moving object to complete it unlike the old version that you don’t know if the shadow of the stop light on outer part of 1 tile is still belong to the right answer.

Time flies, and decisions are so slow that it only took 6 years to replace one captcha with another... But as they say, "better late than never".

100bitcoin, FunCaptcha is something I haven't seen in a long time, and before it was a very popular captcha on most faucets. For what reason all users stopped using it, I do not know. It may have become an easy target for bots, or it may have become a paid service.

I know one captcha which is one of the last to appear on the market, and it was quite similar to reCaptcha, but recently has become quite difficult for most users, and is becoming less and less used.

Same here. I am also logged in on my device, and I do not log out when I close my browser. So, I didn't notice the new captcha either.
I admit that I had some issues with Google recaptcha before. Sometimes it is impossible to verify the captcha even if the internet is fairly okay. Sometimes those roadcrossing, Bikes and the buses sucks. I just verify them and go next next for a while and sometimes it takes more than ten minutes. This is annoying as fuck. Good to know that BitcoinTalk finally changed the captcha verification system.

It's been years since I did that and I really don't want to do that no matter what kind of captcha is it, because it feels annoying and just mentioning if anyone need it here.
