Galatasaray played their worst football of the season today and lost 0-2 to Gençlerbirliği. Galatasaray fielded a team largely composed of reserve players, likely anticipating the Fenerbahçe match this weekend, but the players, who hadn't played together much, didn't perform well. Kaan Ayhan, Ahmet Kutucu, İlkay, and Günay all played poorly. Osimhen came on in the 78th minute but failed to score. At the end of the match, Osimhen received a yellow card for his strong protests to the referee.

It was bad football and a bad defeat. It was a performance I did not expect from Galatasaray, they were very poor and, in my opinion, did not create any clear goal-scoring chances.

Gençlerbirliği should thank Günay Güvenç because they reached the semi final thanks to him.
He made two mistakes and both resulted in goals. No one cares about great saves; what matters is the final result, and tonight Günay Güvenç failed to deliver.

It was the Super Cup final and he got his chance in this match, but he handled both opportunities very poorly.

it's true, Galatasaray has been in a slump since that last Liverpool match. everyone can see that. At this point, GS fans would likely settle for being eliminated from every other tournament (setting aside the European failure) just to ensure the league title isn't lost. After all, the club museum is already full of Turkish Cups.  
if they get through the next two matches without dropping any points, they’ll be champions and it looks like GS has started this match with a rotated squad.

Gençlerbirliği  stunned Galatasaray in  Turkish cup Quarter finals winning by 2-0. Galatasaray is currently sitting on the top of Süper lig above their rivals Fenerbahce by 4 points. That loss in quater finals definitely shooked their fans and can have a huge impact in upcoming games which will risk their top position in Süper lig. First half both sides didn't breakthrough and as we went through in the 2nd half Üzüm scored in 51st min and gave Gençlerbirliği lead Traoré doubled the lead in 83rd minute and sealed their spot in the semis of the Turkish league.
Over the game Galatasaray dominated the game 72 % possession 17 shots out of which 6 are on target . In the next game Galatasaray is going to face their biggest rivals Fenerbahce in Süper lig and that loss can have a huge impact on Sunday's performance of Galatasaray.

Samsunspor were knocked out by Trabzonspor on penalties. Having been reduced to 10 men in the second half, Samsunspor effectively lost control of the match from that point onwards. Trabzonspor won the penalty shoot-out 3–1 and secured their place in the semi-finals.
Beşiktaş continue to lead 1-0 against Alanyaspor. Beşiktaş are likely to progress to the next round provided they do not concede a goal in the final minutes.

I also commend Samsunspor for their bravery because when Cherif Ndiaye had a penalty in the 68th minute i was literally thinking that Trabzonspor will now have the right to score but Samsunspor held them to a full time draw, they even moved to extra time yet they maintained till the penalty shootout. It is not easy to play with a red card and not concede. Onana is really a good goalkeeper at Trabzonspor unlike when he was the goalkeeper at Manchester United. It shows that a player can still perform well in other clubs. Though the Turkish league is not so popular and competitive like the English league so i understand why he is performing better at Trabzonspor.

If these two teams meet in the final, I would say Beşiktaş has a higher chance of winning but anything can happen in finals. However, I wish a different team could take the cup this year.

Samsunspor used their home field advantage to play incredibly aggressive and physical football and the referee just let them get away with it. otherwise, Samsunspor should have finished the match with only 9 men 

btw probability of missing a penalty is 18%. The odds of Onana saving the first three penalties in a row were less than 1%

If both teams meet at the Turkish cup final that match will be a very tough match for both teams, especially playing in neutral ground if you check their last past matches you can see that both teams have some record when playing at home.  They don't agree for each other when each of the team is playing home, from my own observation if both meet at the final and play in neutral ground the match could be a draw match for both and will for extra 30 minutes game it might even go on penalty kick self but let's see the teams that'll qualify for final.

Beşiktaş should buy his transfer rights at the end of the season. Oh has fully adapted to the team, but we need a striker who can compete with him. Beşiktaş secured an easy victory in this match, but more importantly, it gave me hope for next season. That made me happier than the result of the match itself... :)

Actually Trabzonspor shouldn't have struggled this much against Samsunspor. There is a huge gap between the teams. However the same thing happened for Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe both too. 

I can understand Galatasaray's rotation choice a little bit more as they are getting close to winning the league. But Fenerbahçe didn't rotate much as far as I could see and still lost.

Anyway I also believe the final will be between those 2 teams unless we get surprising results.

It's really promising for next year because the team seems to have found its rhythm lately. They definitely need transfers in some positions. If they strengthen these positions with new signings during the summer, Beşiktaş could become one of the championship contenders next year. Currently, they are one of the two favorites to win the Turkish Cup, along with Trabzonspor. Their performance yesterday was praised by everyone. Orkun, in particular, has been playing magnificently lately. I hope he continues to play like this in the World Cup.

I'm happy to see that Beşiktaş finally has a chance to win something. They failed in the league, and were eliminated early from Europe. At least they have a chance to win the Turkish Cup. I think we'll see them in the final; there's no reason why they shouldn't beat their next opponent. The football they played yesterday was quite good.

it was one of those matches where Beşiktaş won comfortably without even breaking a sweat. El Bilal and Murillo played some nice football.

However, the reality is if Beşiktaş is to be considered one of the big three, they must improve their player quality immediately. Regardless of how successful they are, the quality of both the starting lineup and the bench is currently on the same level as Anatolian clubs.

Beşiktaş football team did 3 goals against Alanyaspor football team and they did first goal at 17 minutes of the match. Alanyaspor team did no goal in this match and shots of that team were less in this match and these were 9 in this match and 2 shots were on target. The possession percentage of that team was 45 percent in this match as they tried to be defensive in this match and they could not do any goal till end. The fouls of that team were more in number and that was a reason they could not win this match.  Touré was a person who did first goal of the match And he did this goal at 17 minutes and players were in good form and they won this match at the end.

In the early minutes Djalo scored the header from the middle of the box in the 7th minute and converted the corner into a 1-0 lead. I don't know what the coach of Galatasaray was trying to experiment when fielded those inexperienced players in a cup match, perhaps he thought his team could overwhelm the genclerbirligi side with any kind of players he decides to field but I was surprised when the away side took the lead and even went as far as extending their lead and ended up winning the game, a poor result for Galatasaray, one they wouldn't forget in a hurry.
