We know for a fact that any body coming into Bitcoin newly must have at some point experienced constat Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt (FUD). Most especially as it deals with something digital that really cannot be physically seen or touched and also something that has high volatility and ranges in price..
    You will agree with me that at some point you heard news like, 'The government will ban bitcoin' and currently, these news cannot longer scare us but sometimes this can cause a newbie to panic and sell whatever bitcoin they have acquired... It happened to me too I panic-sold... Which is still one of my biggest regrets yet.

Obviously a ban or a complete stop to Bitcoin promoted by government. But of course, when you know Bitcoin like the way most users on the forum do, when you understand the concept of decentralization and how everyone hooked up on Bitcoin is a serve of their own, you come to understanding the idea of Bitcoin never having to go away. The fear of ban or a complete halt of Bitcoin would be no more.

Until you come to that conclusion, the FUD will still be very effective on you like it does on many newbies to Bitcoin. When it’s not backed and you don’t have what or whom to fall back on, you really on skepticism for saving grace.

I cannot recall of a hard FUD that pushed me to sell out of panic. Ever since I got into Bitcoin, never has my wallet been drained because of a FUD. Although I've had my fair share of selling out of fear, there's always an amount left for hodling no matter what happens.

And those fears weren't founded on pointless FUD but actual events. I remember I sold during the severe correction in 2018 following the ATH late in 2017, not at the bottom but at a really low price. That was the first time I was confronted with the unbelievable level of uncertainty in the Bitcoin market.

I think the fears that made me sell were mainly based on false personal speculations, wrong reading of the market, and the like and not on unfounded stories and narratives.

If people did not do any research or did not do enough due diligent research before joining this market with money, they lacked of essential knowledge about it, and mostly have weak mentality and hands so that they are most sensitive and vulnerable participants in this volatile market which is manipulated by different news and FUD categories.

If they had been well-prepared, they would have been less likely affected by news and FUDs.

We should know that this shouldn't be a threat on us and we should not always give on to what the media says when we know what we are doing, it is what we know and have knowledge  about that will give us the confidence not to give up on the market irrespective of the reactions going on, when we know how it operates, we are not going to be moved by the occasional reactions, newbies habebtimkearb about all these, there are also seasonal performance, know the trends and stay focused on bitcoin and avoid alts, hold when the market falls, you are good.

One thing I ha e come to understand is that knowledge alone doesn't help remove FUD... I was very knowledgeable when I panic sold.. the government of my country placed and ban and freeze ever claccount that was seen to deal with crypto transaction.. its more of an emotional stability where you can hold your ground irrespective... You can have knowledge and still get FUD... That's why a lot of people still don't do well in trading.. they have the knowledge but their emotions do them dirty

I think every newbie faces FUD, but the toughest one to overcome is the fear that Bitcoin can be banned or shut down. That usually comes from not understanding how decentralized it really is. The best way to fight that isnt hype, it’s education. Once people learn the history, see how Bitcoin has survived every death headline, and understand self custody, FUD stops being scary and starts looking repetitive. But in all honesty? Does fud go away? Nah don't think so it's stay always cause it's part of the game.

A recent concern among newbies is that quantum computers could break Bitcoin's cryptography, exposing private keys. This caused FUD because nobody wants to lose their money. But it is unlikely that such quantum computers that would pose a threat to Bitcoin will exist in the next ten years.  

The powerful computers would need millions of qubits of processing power to crack the ECDSA signature algorithm. Meanwhile, the latest quantum computer with the highest qubit count is a 6,100-qubit system from the California Institute of Technology. The Bitcoin community is already working hard to protect the system from this threat.

There are still other ways to handle the threat of quantum computers, which include avoiding the reuse of wallet addresses, migrating to secure wallets, and the use of wallets with post-quantum cryptography.

From the experience you shared on your Bitcoin FUD, I've a similar experience but not on Bitcoin. It was on BNB. The reason I'm sharing it is so newbies will learn how to brace themselves around terminologies and register they don't know or understand. It happened that I had some BNB I got at less than $0.5 then. Yeah, I was that early on BNB in 2017. One day while surfing the internet, I read an article detailing how BNB was a token and not a coin. I had earlier believed it was a coin. I was around Member rank here or so. I was still very much a greenhorn and most of the terms used then looked alien to me. So, when I read that article I felt it was a negative profiling that could crash BNB price. I was already in profit because BNB was at $3+ then. I quickly went to my Binance app and sold off all I had. I was happy I did but a week down the line, I understood it was a very costly mistake made.

But this isn't a FUD. Government can actually ban it's citizens from having anything to do with Bitcoin. If you're someone who's afraid of government and want to abide by their decisions, selling your coins is not a wrong decision. FUD mostly has to do with misleading information but government to ban bitcoin is not misleading information. We've seen them making lots of drama over this despite they're not winning against us. As a newbie, we mostly follow others blindly without making our own research and believe whatever they dish out for us hence we easily fall victim of the FUD.

For me, I haven't sold my Bitcoin due to FUD, and I never care about any kind of FUD about Bitcoin. But yes, I have sold my BNB due to FUD when CZ had faced legal issues and BNB was dumped hard. That FUD drove me to sell all my BNB holdings, and now I regret that. However, for newcomers, the biggest FUD would be a global crackdown or a ban on Bitcoin globally. Because newbies don't know much about Bitcoin and global conditions. They would overcome this FUD when they enter into Bitcoin and know the reality.

We can see how the institution and government try to adapt Bitcoin. A few countries still haven't been adapting, and they banned Bitcoin. But they are backdated to me. For newcomers I will say just ignore all kinds of FUD and see the Bitcoin chart. Any FUD hasn't been able to destroy Bitcoin and never can be. So all the FUD is just temporary; it will be overcome. Don't panic sell, and just wait with patience.
