According to Michael Saylor “By the time bankers tell you it’s ok to buy it, it’ll cost you a million dollar a Bitcoin and when they tell you it’s a Good idea it’ll cost 10 million dollar a bitcoin” Smiley
In many countries, banks are still against crypto investments and they have governments restrictions or others to seize any asset that is linked to crypto.  Even if they go behind our back to trade crypto we still might not be aware m, because banks makes their money from trading the financial market. The hire experts to make analysis for them and make profits from your savings. It will be dump to actually wait for banks to give the order before people begins to accumulate BTC. Banks have no interest in what benefits you, they are just like the government who only makes a move when it's fine with them and place unnecessary regulations on things like crypto because they were not enlightened to what it could do.

When the banks start to advertise bitcoin as a good investment, hence we should be suspicious then because its never the nature of a centralized institution to praise a decentralized asset or investment. It could be the result will leave them a highly favored outcome, or eventually they will blackmail bitcoin in the end, so we should be careful trusting banks for bitcoin. It's more safe to trust your own instinct, than to trust the known enemy of bitcoin.
You know we can't blame ourselves having this kind of emotion towards banks that have never shown acceptance to bitcoin before. Now that bitcoin is making its way to the top, then they suddenly make positive advertisements about bitcoin. But we shouldn't be surprised though, if they can't threaten bitcoin, then at least they can ride with the popularity and demand with it, so they have no choice but to make way for bitcoin, even if they really don't want that way since all they want is to promote fiat.

So, I think if we agree and have no problem with people investing through ETFs, centralized institutions like MSTR by holding their stocks instead of directly holding bitcoin. We should also not be upset when banks enter the market and people invest through them. In fact, I believe that investing in bitcoin through a bank is much safer than holding shares of companies like MSTR.
I agree, it's 2-way round for each of us. The banks do what they have to do and us, we invest where we want to invest. But both of us are meeting in the middle and not taking it for granted if it's about bitcoin. We all hold it and keep for the long term and that's what they're doing as well. They don't waste their time into any of those dips because they continue to buy. But it seems this time that MSTR is missing it and they haven't done any action yet about any purchase when the market suddenly made a huge dip.

Because MSTR doesn’t have available money, most of the money they use to invest in bitcoin comes from raising capital by issuing bonds. But their stock price has dropped significantly by about 46% since its peak as well as bitcoin has been quite stagnant over the past few months. I guess this also made investors a bit nervous, making MSTR's fundraising not go smoothly. If you notice they have also bought bitcoin twice recently but in much smaller amounts than before.

Not only MSTR, bitcoin demand from institutions is also decreasing, some are even selling because the company is in trouble.

That’s a good point — banks are late to the party, but once they start promoting Bitcoin, it usually means we’re entering a more mature phase of adoption.
They’ll make it easier for regular people to invest, but at the same time, it takes away some of the original “freedom” Bitcoin stood for.

So far, this isn't happening yet in our local banks, they are still hesitant to promote bitcoin and would always encourage their clients to stick with fiat. However, once the scenario changes and banks become suddenly friendly to bitcoin, this marks that bitcoin has already reached a higher level, enough to get the attention of centralized banks and government.

I don't see this as a wrong move for banks, because no matter how they will try to reject bitcoin, the people will always bring bitcoin to its current position now. So probably the best way to do for banks is integrate bitcoin with fiat, so that fiat will still maintain its utility demand, although majority are still using fiat for their day to day activities in life.

They don't take any freedom from BTC.

People take their freedom from themselves if they do business with BTC using banks.

Bitcoins will need banks at the end. Banks might not really need bitcoins but they can increase their use cases or even income with bitcoins so it is a win-win for both. Bitcoins conversions will always go through banks because people will want to cash out and there is no other option better than banks. In fact, banks should start deposit or withdrawal counters for bitcoins where they can charge a minute fee but offer instant conversion.

This can be a better way for us to cash out or to even invest momentarily. P2P traders too can make great profits out of it by identifying spreads and constantly buying and selling bitcoins. Never the less, even the banks will be earning their share of profits via the small transaction fees.

They can only buy newbiews and someone who doesn't understand what lies behind using their coin in banks.. It can end up badly if they have question for you.

Well said. Many banks promoting Bitcoin today often do so with their own interests in mind, not necessarily for the benefit of users. They want to control the flow of Bitcoin through custodial services, which goes against the original purpose. Holding your own Bitcoin and using peer to peer transactions means you maintain full control of your assets, without depending on a third party that could freeze or restrict your account anytime. And it is always better to understand the risks and keep ownership in your own hands.

This is my fear in a case like this, supposing my bank start making an advert on Bitcoin investment. I would think it is a scam or a tactic used by scammers, mostly when they promise high return on Bitcoin investment.

Banks may sponsor or launch several services that would help cater for the growing user base of Bitcoin, but they must openly acknowledge it is a legal tender which of course is under awareness from the government, before they would have the mind to do this openly to begin with.

Banks already advertise Bitcoin as investment alternative for their customers, however, they don't let investors have control over the acquired Bitcoins. They can't even cashout the BTC from the bank if they wished. So, it's not a great deal for customers, but definitely a good deal for banks. For those who want to invest in Bitcoin, I don't suggest doing so through a bank. Rather, do it by yourself purchasing Bitcoin directly from someone else, and in the worst case buy it from an exchange, so you can transact your coins to a safe wallet you own the keys on the sequence.

What you said is true. If your Bitcoin profits come from an exchange to their bank, they will easily accept it. But once the money is in their bank and you deposit a large amount,
they will suddenly put your funds on hold and ask where it came from. Banks can be that unpredictable.

That's why it's still better for us to have control over our Bitcoin. We shouldn't entrust our Bitcoin assets to others unless we're making a transaction to exchange it for cash, which is fine because it's just a quick transaction, especially if it's just going through our e-wallets, in my opinion.

All thanks to be Chief of crafting himself, Satoshi Nakamoto, If Bitcoin is something that these people can control they would have, all they can do is use FUD and manipulation which to me is not complete control.

They got nothing on Bitcoin, but it is making loads of money for big people around the world, Banks can't keep hating, they have to join the race too.

Banks shouldn't be trusted with Bitcoin, but in this case everyone is free to do what they like, I am sure they have their ways of attracting newbies, people who don't understand the importance of decentralisation.

. I’ve come across a thread in this forum that was highlighting exchanges and wallet you can use to accumulate Bitcoin with the minimum of a dollar, some of which are Luna wallet, Kraken Exchange and Uphold Exchange.
You want to buy and accumulate bitcoin you shouldn't do it using an exchange to do that, you would be doing yourself a disservice with the risks involved in using exchange for your bitcoin starsh. Ledger and Trezor are two of the hardware wallets I can recommend to you, then maybe you want to use a software wallet you can make use of electrum, it's an open source wallet.

Bank never do anything without having some hidden interest to their side, and I understand because they're a profit oriented organisation. Banks advisingtheir customers to buy bitcoin through them means there's what they stand gain.

We have to be careful on the occasion of seeing the banks advertise on bitcoin, because what they are trying to do is to held us in custody, if we are not being smart enough for that, we may think all they are doing in this format was to help us and serve more better, you can't expect me to use bank when I can make my p2p independently without having to go through them, they may decide to close down on user account one day.

Anything that has to do with banks involving in bitcoin i dont really buy the idea and most banks will not agree because if you should look at it, it's going to be aginst there policy and they will act as if it is not a recorgnized asset so people need it, and a bank plays a role when it comes to the investing of bitcoin so the best thing is for them to stick to there role than wanting to investing because banks are a financial sector that people invest in and that is why they are always having issues with bitcoin and this is why i dont think it will work because the best thing is for them, not to get there self involved, and this are same people that were even discouraging people from investing into bitcoin, and all of a sudden they have picked intrest so the question now is what changed.

Funnily enough, there are still people who don't believe in the outcome of Bitcoin till date.Anyways many people are just careful with their money probably because of stories they've heard about the crypto space and it's alarming scam happening literally everyday.Banks are third party and we all know in most geographical region in the world they don't work hand in hand with Bitcoin and cryptocurrency entirely,so for banks to recommend bitcoin as a good investment shows that bitcoin is a mainstream investment option.I would advise everyone coming into the crypto space to be their own bank and hold onto their coins themselves.

That’s a good point — banks are late to the party, but once they start promoting Bitcoin, it usually means we’re entering a more mature phase of adoption.
They’ll make it easier for regular people to invest, but at the same time, it takes away some of the original “freedom” Bitcoin stood for.

I don't think banks are going to consider Bitcoin deposit, it will not happen under the watch of any central banks because they give the directoy rules and regulations which banks must all operate. If the central bank make it law then commercial banks can follow and all other micro banks under commercial can follow. The onlh thing I expect from bank with Bitcoin involvement is seed phrase storage, the bank allows people to deposit important items under their safe box.

If you observe central banks and banks in general, they have this hatred against banks and it's because everything Bitcoin does is against their principles, they are not going to allow a competitive asset under their shade that is going to threaten their ecosystem. You know very well that if Bitcoin get the opportunity to be in the banking system, it's going to threaten their financial system and being that they don't control the supply, it's going to be a challenge for them.

Banks are not late to the game; some of them could have already been investing in Bitcoin without making it public. They are now advertising the Bitcoin-buying idea to their customers because they have tried so hard to stop it and they couldn't.

The only way they can enjoy what they think they are missing is by convincing their customers to buy that decentralized coin under a centralized system where they will still take that self-custody control away from them and still tax them on profit.

Banks have always been in opposition because bitcoins somehow overrules their existence. Bitcoins can provide same benefits, in-fact way better benefits than banks and if we think wisely, we would never need banks if we just try to stick with bitcoins. This will damage their deposits which will hamper their earnings. They already have millions of dollars invested in their infrastructure and they simply can't afford risking it all.

Banks should think about a way to work around bitcoins. They should think about integrating blockchain to build transparency and credibility. This will benefit them as well and make people believe in bitcoins along with banks.

Bank only wants to leverage on the opportunity Bitcoin investment has, the fast growth that Bitcoin investment generates with some few couple of months to an extra ordinary platform for versatile profits. If you haven't thought of creating a platform or have tried to plug in off a liquidated source for quick mass profits, you have to start doing such.

Banks are doing it pretty fast even though they are late to the party. They going to generates faster because lot of marketing and awareness wouldn't be a problem.
