To be honest, I don't understand why people are quiet about this, over the years the government has not given anything significant to the masses, jobs are scarce and inflation keeps getting worse. People stopped relying on the government fot anything and decided to find a way to scale through life but with the little income they are making the government are coming up with a tax law to deduct 20 percent of the incomes people make. There's a possible that thrle government are trying to tax people is because they arr trying to prove to their lenders that will be able to pay back the debts they owe, maybe the taxes will be what will be used to pay back these loans. After borrowing trillions from China they still couldn't fix the economy and also focus more on development, would they do anything different with the income tax they are going to be collecting? They are just a bunch of corrupt people looking for every means to enrich themselves

In my view this whole scenario is like a vicious circle. The government intends to cover the revenue shortfall by increasing taxes yet the weight of taxation falls on ordinary people who are already under the pressure of rising inflation and low income, This makes things even worse for people, which slows down business, and in the end, the government has to borrow more money, In other words they are only buying time without fixing the basis of the problem. In the current situation individuals are understanding that centrally managed currency is not working for them but they are being forced to be part of a system that is taking a portion of their income.

I think this situation can be great for Bitcoin in the long term because no matter how much the government raises taxes or introduces new rules people ultimately want control over their money and such freedom is only attainable in a decentralized system.

You think people are just silent? The truth is that , Nigeria is a country that is blessed with numerous natural resources, and we have more than enough to Carter for the country's financial needs. Other countries who impose heavy tax on their citizens do it and uses the tax generated to develop their country and elevate poverty in their country, and their rich citizens are the ones who pay more and for that reason you don't even see their big men buying fleet of cars and building mansions for luxury.

In Nigeria, there is no need to impose such heavy task on the citizens, any law made in Nigeria is always favouring the politicians and leaders of Nigeria while they suck and exploit the poor masses.

Nigeria is a very rich and blessed country, but our money is not used to develop the country, but the politicians embezzle the country's money for their own personal development, even when they borrow money, they share it and live the country in huge depth, this is nothing but share wickedness.
