Yes. Here in our country, even the digital cash application has offered the gambling service. But the government insisted that it should be taken out because many of our countrymen are using the popular digital cash application, and they don't want them to get easy access to gambling.
I think they made the right decision there, but still, local online casinos are growing here, and they are doing advertisements all over social media, which is where most people are. I have not yet seen a banking application injected a gambling platform or links, but I am sure it will happen someday, and I hope the government will stop it again.

Indeed, this influencer correctly noticed the trend. There are a lot of prize draws, cashback, etc. in banking applications, and not only there. Why is this happening? Most likely because of the growing widespread inequality, which is associated with the destruction of the middle class.
The understanding of futility, the inability to improve living conditions, pushes gambling as a way to overcome these circumstances. Of course, this process of destroying the middle class in developed countries is happening gradually and is not very noticeable. But on average, the standard of living is falling.
In principle, there is nothing wrong with the widespread use of gambling, since the potential problem is gambling addiction, the occurrence of which is due to the nature of the gambler, and not gambling. A proverb is relevant here: "A bad workman blames his tools."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ii1ROzeSwUThis youtuber coffeezilla has 4.3 million subs and his video had 2 million views in the last 24 hours. The video is about how gambling is taking over the world. Gambling is basically everywhere at this point. Banking apps don’t just give links to casinos anymore, they offer games inside their apps which is crazy and it is not only the banking apps that do it. Shopping apps, telecom apps, mobile games… almost every mobile app out there has a slot game embedded in it. Dafuq is going on? I have followed Coffeezilla for a long time now, and I like how his approach is towards discussing this problem. His investigative pursuits are really good for everyone to see. I agree that it has really changed the landscape. Giving easy access to everyone would really become a more serious problem. I have noticed it IRL, and it has been a problem. It's too much now.

Yes that's true. Gambling has become almost everywhere. I can confirm this by looking at the current situation in my country.
I live in an Islamic country and although gambling is prohibited here, it's clear that it's become very widespread these days, especially among young people. There are two reasons for this phenomenon: First, the spread of the internet and social media, which promote gambling apps and crypto casinos. Accessing these casinos and apps has become very easy.
Second, poverty and unemployment among young people, who believe that it's easy to make large profits from gambling and improve their living conditions.

The world is ruled by money. Anything that can bring companies additional income will be advertised everywhere, without the slightest concern that someone might misuse their offers. Everyone has long known that the fast food we're accustomed to eating occasionally isn't healthy; in fact, it's downright harmful. Has anyone ever seen such establishments closed because they lead to obesity and, subsequently, serious illnesses? Exactly the same thing is starting to happen with gambling. People need to learn to live independently and get used to the idea that no one cares how others feel, as long as their enrichment is the most important thing. The world has lost God and is catastrophically sliding into the abyss.

I probably feel luckier not to see that happen in my country because gambling is prohibited here, although I still see them occasionally on social media but they are from illegal casinos because the names are not common
We must discipline ourselves not to be attracted and overly influenced by these advertisements, it all comes back to us and it's in our hands how we respond to it.

There's this financial app am using for transaction most of the time if am sending money to some clients, anytime I log into the app to do transaction, different ads about betting on football games starts popping out and I will have to manual close the ads, there's no automatic settings to prevent this ads and this app are putting up this ads because of the casino that they are promoting, because from that app you can fund the casino account directly. So, what the guy is saying is true, gambling is every were but still, people have to be on the best not to gamble out of control.

Breh, I haven't got 34 minutes to watch that but I agree, gambling is everywhere, though recently my country put ban to this gambling stuff otherwise every finance app, the ads during commercial breaks, in sports, and what not it was INDEED everywhere. ...In principle, there is nothing wrong with the widespread use of gambling, since the potential problem is gambling addiction, the occurrence of which is due to the nature of the gambler, and not gambling. A proverb is relevant here: "A bad workman blames his tools."
I do always say, responsibility is always on an individual and not on thing itself but I don't particularly find that proverb... relevant, don't you think those tools might actually be in need of service? ...The world has lost God and is catastrophically sliding into the abyss.
May be there was none to begin with.

I use an adblock and visit the sites I want so its not much obvious on the first glance but if i'm mistakenly uses another device without an adblock, i'm bombarded with ads of gambling sites and its not just me, people who have never searched about gambling are getting gambling ads more than any other type of ads. Just today I was on a gaming discord group and one of the kid was claiming he'll help people load their 1xbet account for a commission. So with such rampant ads, it's obvious that the platform putting those ads are earning enough to keep those ads and kids asking commission to load wallets mean there's a demand for it.

Dafuq is going on?
It's capitalism. Investors and businessmen found a semi-unexploited audience to get a lot of profit from, and are now finding ways to get a legal grasp on it. Banking apps don’t just give links to casinos anymore, they offer games inside their apps which is crazy and it is not only the banking apps that do it. Shopping apps, telecom apps, mobile games… almost every mobile app out there has a slot game embedded in it.
Having casino links alone on a Banking app is already ridiculous, but offering gambling games inside a Banking app is just insane and should be illegal. Adding stricter and more refined gambling regulations would probably put a stop to it, but knowing how the government works, they are probably thinking about whether the profit is worth the risk.

He’s not wrong that gambling’s become more visible especially with streamers and sports promos everywhere. But it’s more about awareness and self-control than banning it entirely. Tools like limits, cool-off periods, and transparent odds can make a big difference.
Do you think regulation or personal responsibility matters more in fixing this?
Maybe the government is more interested in generating revenue from taxes than in curbing these excessive advertisements. Gambling ads are just everywhere, including in goods and services that are for children. Celebrities and influencers are also doing more harm than good in gambling promotions. I see gambling billboards close to schools, and I begin to wonder what regulators are doing. If the right policies are not made and enforced we might end up seeing casinos inside secondary schools. Parents also have the responsibility to shield their children from these promotion. And close monitoring is also essential. We, as gamblers, should control ourselves since we cannot escape from the advertisement bombardment.

Dude, to me this still sounds very pretty absurd... gambling with n banking apps! Is this serious? Here in Brazil regulations still quite restrictive and ends up acting as a natural barrier for this type of intrusion... for now, what we have allowed is basically sports betting and all betting sites need to be registered and meet strict requirements, never an bank website or app could offer or directly mediate gambling games. Certainly, what you described is beyond acceptable... for a person addicted to or impulsive gambling, the worst thing they could have is a way to gamble their newly received monthly salary within their own bank app, that is very worrying indeed. I am also concerned that this could affect people who dont even consider themselves gamblers, who may be playing just for fun, but with real money, and without realizing that they are participating in a gambling ecosystem with the same psychological dynamics as a casino.

Gambling is becoming more mainstream but I wouldn’t call it an epidemic. Social casinos, prediction markets, and gamified shopping apps have existed for almost as long as the internet has been around.
Gambling mechanics in games and shopping apps were always popular in China and Japan, and when those countries' products became popular internationally, many other brands started copying them.
Prediction markets always get lots of attention during presidential elections and recently they’ve had a better track record than traditional polling. They can also give us real time sentiment instead of lagging by days or weeks like polls do.
There might be a few gambling sites that do bad things, like targeting children, but these do not reflect gambling in its entirety.

It's true, even here you can simply deposit money to casinos using banking apps or casinos itself has a direct access to those banking apps and it's easy as 1-2-3 then you're not credited and there goes gambling for you. So I would agree that it's a epidemic already. But I would also like to say that this could be the off-shot of the covid-19. People are inside their houses and then more casinos were born under 2021-2023 period wherein we are in the lockdown. Now, it continues to grow even that we are back to normal now.

When I first heard of the phrase gambling epidemic, it was in the local context. I strongly agreed there was one in my country. And it's slowly but surely destroying the social fabric.
I'm now surprised there's the same observation worldwide. Although I was aware of the earlier initiatives in many advanced countries especially, in Europe, for example, I thought it wasn't as severe or urgent as the situation in my country. Perhaps the rise of technology calls for much tighter gambling regulations.

At some point this was going to happen, but I didn't imagine it would be so close to the user. It could end up affecting people who don't like this kind of thing and even damage the bank's image.

Why now? if it’s an epidemic, it should have been banned long before. He doesn’t understand that the real problem isn’t gambling itself, but the irresponsible gamblers. so why do the responsible ones have to be dragged into this kind of general statement? He thinks responsible gamblers aren’t having fun, if he believes that, then he’s blind.
That’s why there’s what we call responsible gambling, because that’s the only way we can keep it fun. if he wants to criticize gambling, then he should also criticize food and drinks that destroy our health.
So what if we pay to gamble? it’s not bad for us, because we’re getting entertained.

What is going on is that people should discipline themselves very well and also teach their children and people around them not to see gambling as a means of earning money or income but as just a way to have fun because people that gambling will affect are people that see it as a means of making money.
If you cannot stop the surge of gambling adverts everywhere and the growing influence you need to caution yourself against irresponsible gambling, if not you will become addicted. Many people are looking for get rich quick schemes and they mistake gambling for one of them, this is the major cause of addiction that is giving gambling a bad image. If more people gamble responsibly with amount that they can afford to loose I don't think that it would matter to anybody that gambling adverts are everywhere. As casinos and bet sites are increasing there is need for increasing awareness that they are not get rich quick schemes.

Technology has its own pros and negatives which are hurting badly to our society in many countries, they are taking strong initiative about this but it's still not easy to control because mobile and apps are doing their damage and new generation is suffering which is surely going to be having side effects of this gambling epidemic. Recently too much talk about this with many are still favouring because they are calling this entertainment but peoples those are suffering have not positive impact because they feel it's a damaging thing, which is needed to be strictly controlled while playing for fun with strong strategy and always keeping things emotionless giving not good damage still guideline is important because this will give better use of this entertainment which is now part of life for millions.

Yes, this may be true, but if I post from my own perspective, since I was very young, I know gambling and betting are a means to try your luck, but the chance to lose is very high than the chance to win. Another things is that, as people get addicted, what make them continue to lose money and continue to gamble in long term? I think such warning will not still be effective for those that will become addicted.
