many of the ebay listings are hoping and assuming ignorance in the buyer and hoping to get the buyer to pay way more than the actual value.  The same reason why if you list an item exactly for what it is, you get next to no views. Take same item, call it 20 other things that it is not (ie calling a lealana coin the following: kialara, casascius, microsoul, mybits, etc etc and set the price higher - 9 outta 10 times that one will sell while the other one sits in obscurity.
It is deceptive and quite destructive to our hobby but many of those folks are interested solely in profiting with little to no care for hobby.
then the ones that do care for the hobby are force to either have less visibility and thus less sales or use the same deceptiveness to sell their products. eBay should have reviewers who know what these things are and then simply delete any ad that is deceptive.
not to pick on anyone here but I see a seller that is here on forums selling a topps bitcoin card and has "Casascius" in the title - the card is not a cas coin nor does it even have anything remotely to do with a cas coin.  But the word "casacius" makes for views.
