The thing there is people have different reasons why they are gambling, so some might be gambling just to clear their head and relieve themselves from stress and anxiety, while some gambler for fun and so on, but the truth of the matter is, for what ever reason people are gambling for wether to clear their head or for fun or for entertainment and so on,  they are still gambling with expectations, because nobody is just gambling to loose money, so wether they are playing for fun or what ever they are playing for they are still expecting something in return. I am going to be honest, I play to win and improve myself financially though this has led to destruction instead of improvements, I would have done much better if I happen to play for fun though I don't believe much in it. The reason is simple, any time I tried to quit gambling through playing for fun, it led me to think that it was just a coincidence that I have lost so much, as I was witnessing some very good high multipliers when I was playing for fun, so from there straight back into real play cost me to many stressful nights to say the least. Now I have put a ban on myself in my most major casinos and that is indefinitely, meaning I should be OK now, I can play for fun but when I will want to get into real play I cannot because of such restrictions. No excitement for me when someone is losing a lot of money, in fact I feel sad sometimes for those streamers when they are losing big.

What you have right is actually what I aim. Since I know winning chances on this activity is uncertain, so instead of stressing out ourselves to chase some wins much better for us to think about those things what you right since winnings would provably come if we are feel relax and enjoying the games we are playing.

Not all people could do that since usually for what I see gamblers with less experience usually to aim huge profit and use lots of stressful strategies that's why they never get any satisfaction and end up frustrated with bad results they get.

Perhaps point 6, relieving fatigue and stress, is something I have been doing all along. With the percentage of money I allocate for gambling, that point has become something I have been practicing. I feel that the most enjoyable weekends are when I watch Premier League matches while gambling and placing bets on several teams I like, apart from my favorite team, Liverpool.

It can be a combination of all of them, you played a game in order to distract from real life, this will make you get fun. We all are not doing the gamble with same intentions to derive and this is perfectly understood. Even for the group that repeatedly claim they gamble for the relaxation, adrenaline, thrill, fun, to unwind and relieve stress they'll still be more glad if they win and be in profit while having the fun.

Be it you are gambling or the fun or solely on the profits to be made on gambler's luck and little strategic efforts. At the close of the day let it be that you are gambling responsibly.

To be realistic the list you outlined are what people usually says but in more rarity they gamble for additional income because anyone who is that gambling for fun would never be eager to make profits or even want to make winning while gambling, although we know that winning is what triggers the fun nature of gambling than the fun or easing away stress people often preached about, as a gambler it's also good to at least have fun and also make winning with this it motivates the gambler itself.

yes they are all different even though you wasted a lot of words trying to describe just one thing and it depends on the character of the gambler what is the purpose of his gambling practices

For me they’re similar on the surface but actually come from different moods/states of mind. 1 & 2 is more casual like I just enjoy the game itself no heavy emotions involved but 3 & 4 hits different that’s when I want intensity that heart-pounding feeling I get when I risk something & don’t know what’s coming next, it’s not just fun anymore it’s about chasing that rush. 5 & 6 is about calming down not hyping up. I think the difference is that when you’re playing for fun, you’re not really that serious about it. You just do it occasionally, without putting in too much effort to win. You’re more like a gambler hoping luck goes your way. But when you play for the fun itself, that’s really what you’re after, the enjoyment. Still, if you end up losing, sometimes the fun disappears too.

Whatever words you've used to describe your feelings, as long as you're playing with money that you can afford to lose, and you are not going overboard with the amount that you are supposed to use for gambling, then you are good.

Emotions can be deep and complicated, and the variations you enumerated are some of the possible ingredients that can be found mixed in the same person in various proportions (while a few ones mean literally the same IMO). In your list we could say that 1-4 respond to the desire of overstimulation, and 5-6 to the search for escape.

The reasons why we play can be diverse and varied, and while some only focus on the economical part, others with greater awareness will stop to think about what feelings gambling provokes on them, and how to avoid them or take advantage from them.

For me it’s different. I always expect profit, but when I lose, I can easily accept it. I just convince myself that I’m playing for fun, and honestly, most gamblers lose anyway, so I’m just one of them. It’s part of the game, no big deal.

The same when they lose will also be regret or emotions that make them uncontrollable.

But it depends on them how it should be simplified so it's not too overwhelming.

I always consider winning in gambling a BONUS, the rest is ready to lose.

If I don’t feel like thinking too much, I go for slots. I usually spin them with minimal bets and spend a strictly fixed amount.
