Is this is the time to sell our altcoins?

every year altcoins holders waiting for the december month, and expect altcoins market will rocket high in the month, it’s just only our hope and we are waiting jan-dec but the market does not follow any fixed rules like when the price will increase and when it will decrease,
i still hold my coins because altcoins market still going in bearish season, my losses 30%-40℅, so i need to hold for bull season. if you have no lose with in your assets, you can quite, it’s depend on you.

It seems that December did not go as expected or predicted by many people regarding the rise of altcoins, it seems that this year's cycle is very different from the previous year. You are not the only one who has experienced losses. Most people, including me, have experienced similar things. In investing, we must be prepared for uncertain situations, otherwise we will experience losses. I'm still very confident that there will be changes in global policy in the future that can stimulate market movements. All you need is a little patience in waiting for the market flared up again.

Do you think this is possible and BTC could hit a new ATH?

I think it's very possible for Bitcoin to reach a new all-time high this year, as the year is still very long, so anything is possible.

I'll agree with you here. I think this is the time for accumulation instead of offloading our holdings. Selling altcoins might be a mistake at this time because the markets are bleeding right now and most of the coins are in red. We should try to hold until the markets revert back and show some positive movement. I would personally not sell my holdings because I am here for a long run but yes, I do understand that some people might be in a rush because of poor money management. They just can't afford holding for more time because it might ruin their financials over the year. This is the reason why we should properly plan our expenses and only invest if we have the money kept aside which is not of much use.

Bitcoins too will start showing positive momentum much sooner now. They are still dropping but this drop will come to a halt and eventually the markets will reverse. I would still keep adding to my positions with no intention to sell and would recommend the same to others especially those who have newly started their investment journey.

This depends on which altcoins you hold and your confidence in the market. If they are memecoin, the projects are not trustworthy. Selling them at this point is absolutely correct or you should have sold them even earlier. But if they are potential altcoins like ETH, BNB or SOL, and if you believe that the bull season is not over yet. Bitcoin will go to 150k$, I see no reason to sell those good altcoins at this point.

Especially when you are holding old altcoins, it will give you confidence to know when to release your altcoin for sale and you will achieve your expectations, I know that sometimes altcoins market can misbehave some time but if you can endure at the moment, you will definitely know when to sell to make a reasonable income because sometimes the price of altcoin always move along with bitcoin price and if you are still holding etherium or Solana, I think you are holding a favourable altcoins that will make you to earn good income from your altcoin investment.

Bitcoins will definitely hit a new ATH, but we can't promise the timeframe. They might take a couple of months or even a year. 2026 is considered to be bearish for bitcoins because 2025 was a great year and we saw a tremendous rally last year. Bitcoin markets will eventually correct and this might make bitcoins dump for a while. Usually, the dump is not a short coming. Markets might remain bearish for a while now before they revert. We should prepare ourselves mentally to accept the fact because if we just expect positive sentiments, our feelings will be crushed at the end.

This year started red and few coming months might be red as well. Even now, bitcoins are continuing to drop, and the altcoins will just follow the trend. Markets will only turn green if bitcoins cross $90,000 again which seems quite difficult considering the current market scenarios.

Let’s put an end to this debate once and for all — should we be selling our altcoins now, or is it better to wait until December for the exit plan? Personally, I’ve decided to hold my altcoins until the end of December, as I still believe there’s potential for one last strong move before the year ends. Market conditions are changing quickly, and December could be a key month for altcoins depending on how Bitcoin and overall liquidity behave. If you sell right now, you would have to chase what you are doing and for that reason I do not think that it would be a smart move, not saying don't do it right now, but it would be wiser if you could just be careful.

I think what people said is better, if you could just get more, instead of sell, that would mean a lot more. Of course this depends on altcoins, if you have a terrible one then avoid that and sell, but if you have ETH for example, it's smarter to buy more ETH than sell. Because it would mean that you are going to end up selling your coins and lose, but if you buy more and more then you will profit eventually when it goes back up.
