There was a hint in an interview given by Donald Trump in which he expressed some hints that his country, the United States, will be the first country in the world to hold the highest number of Bitcoin reserves.

He said China is going to do something big in crypto, directly alluding to China's investment in Bitcoin.  While China has been imposing restrictions on Bitcoin as usual, such positive comments from Donald Trump are taking some kind of direction regarding Chinese investment.

I don’t trust his words anymore. If he’s really serious about being number one, then the US should be accumulating Bitcoin. But what they did was different, they want to treat Bitcoin as a strategic reserve, yet they didn’t actually buy any. They’re just using the confiscated coins as part of their reserve.

That move alone shows they’re not willing to take real risks, so how can they claim to be number one?

I welcome the rivalry between these two countries over their respective claims regarding Bitcoin reserves, as it will encourage them to continue increasing their holdings. We know from various sources that the Bitcoin they hold in America wasn't purchased, but rather confiscated.

I don't think China has changed its stance on Bitcoin. As far as I know, they have, but I'm not yet aware of whether they have changed their stance against Bitcoin. If they still hold the same principles regarding Bitcoin, how can I justify Trump's rivalry with China over Bitcoin reserves?

Until know those plan purchase of US didn't happen. Its like they are just hyping people and want the price to grow without spending anything.

Their plans to accumulate for their strategic reserve still floating and there's no clear indication that it will happen soon. So that statement he made is just another promise so better don't believe on what he say and you will be the subject for their manipulation attempts especially if you believe and follow those things they said.

It seems that Trump is playing mind games and they want to earn at the expense of other people or institution.

The rivalry between America and China is now observed not only in relation to bitcoin — they are competing for global dominance in many areas. In my opinion, this is a very worrying signal, because such confrontations can draw other countries into conflict and potentially lead to a major war. Many analysts are predicting this kind of confrontation and are very concerned about such a development of events. I believe that it would be better if both countries worked toward compromise and friendly agreements — that way, life would be calmer and better for the entire world.

We have often seen the US and China making contradictory statements about Bitcoin. When the US was going to declare Bitcoin as a reserve asset, we heard China banning Bitcoin, but then they rushed towards Bitcoin. Honestly, I do not believe Donald Trump's statement, most of the things he says are not true. Yes, the fall in the price of fiat currencies and global political instability are forcing every country to think about alternative economies, in which case many countries consider Bitcoin as their strategic asset, in which case it is natural that China, one of the world's most commercially prosperous countries, will consider Bitcoin as a strategic asset. It is very common for them to emerge as one of the world's most Bitcoin-rich countries. Honestly, no one can say exactly how many Bitcoins a country has. Maybe China also has a huge amount of Bitcoin and it is more than the US but they are not revealing it for strategic reasons. It is just my opinion that it could be the opposite. However, the popularity of Bitcoin from individuals to governments around the world will further encourage small investors like us. China's involvement in Bitcoin is a good sign for Bitcoin.

You are right in the real sense where we only see America giving utmost importance to Bitcoin reserves but till now we have not seen America buying a single Bitcoin. The amount of Bitcoin held in the US reserves is Bitcoin seized from all Bitcoin scam projects. There is no such thing as an American's own Bitcoin, meaning Donald Trump places the highest importance on Bitcoin, but he has not yet purchased a single Bitcoin.

Will be is a story for the future. Many things can change in life and Trump's willingness might be done or might never be done. In addition, this story belongs to very far future than what Trump can do in 2025 and next three years before he will have to leave the White House at the presidency expiration. Trump perhaps has good vision for his nation but that's it, to make it done, it needs more than only Trump but also many next Presidents of the USA.

Other nations will not stay and watch the USA accumulating bitcoins, they will take action too and it will be a tough Bitcoin race among many nations but surely the USA has big advantage for now.

If he meant it, they can! but would they be willing to do that?, I doubt not. I must have missed some news but has there been any news where they declared buying more Bitcoin to add to their holding which was ceased from scammers? He wants his ountry to be the number 1 holder of Bitcoin and after his time is over as the president, the next president probably might not be friendly with Bitcoin and they will have to sell all the Bitcoin and use the money to put into a different kind of asset for reserve. I have to think that this might not be true because the before approach to his plans have only be politics.

They have all the funds and possibilities for it.

And entities like that don't take risks - they do things if they are sure of them.

Worrying in what context, if I may ask? Bitcoin?
China has gone from not being considered a major power, but their consistency has made them now considered a serious competitor to America. All of this competition boils down to economic strength.

When China differs on currencies other than their fiat currency or on reserve assets, as Trump has said regarding Bitcoin, I wonder when China agreed to this, which would create competition. It feels like a single hand clapping without making a sound.

He means they will be confiscating more bitcoins lol. While other countries, even though not as rich and powerful as the US, are buying more bitcoin. They are trying their best to incorporate bitcoin into their countries and allow for crypto to grow within.

We will be Number 1 , China May be next- Donald Trump
It has been predicted that China and the US will be like brother and sister, their debates and bickering regarding tariffs, the economy are just sensations and fabrications, the world public will see the US and China as enemies, even though this is all their strategy to protect the value of their currency, to attract the sympathy of domestic and international investors.

Now it is proven that they are still competing to make Bitcoin their main investment asset, this shows that China and the US are really not fighting tariffs, that is all their strategy towards the world.

He means they will be confiscating more bitcoins lol. While other countries, even though not as rich and powerful as the US, are buying more bitcoin. They are trying their best to incorporate bitcoin into their countries and allow for crypto to grow within.

Maybe. But it would still be not as good as just being into BTC and regulating it properly.. Words are honey, actions are not as easy to do for real than that..

I am honestly tired of having to read or listen to every word that Donald Trump says regarding bitcoin and I really hope we all can get over that man and stop making headlines off every of his bitcoin comments.

Because having to make a new thread here on this forum with Trump statements on bitcoin all the time is beginning to look spammy to me, the level of attention being given to Donald Trump and the United states is beginning to look like they are the main drivers of bitcoin and without them, bitcoin; as well as everyone of us who hold bitcoin are all doomed, of course this is absolutely not true, so we just allow them do their thing while we as well do our thing, because in the end, US or without US, china or without China, Trump or without Trump, Bitcoin will continue to stay and will continue to be a successful project.

Neither country has ever bought Bitcoin, so I don't know how the competition for Bitcoin is. All I see is Trump talking the way he usually does. China, on the other hand, has made very unfavourable laws towards Bitcoin. These two countries are not very interested in having a Bitcoin reserve. Whatever Bitcoin both countries hold currently are from seizures, so we can't use that to say they're competing for who would hold the most Bitcoin.

They compete in other things, but not bitcoin. The only difference between the countries is that one allows bitcoin and doesn't restrict the trading and exchange of bitcoin, while the other doesn't allow the trading of bitcoin. I even have a feeling that another country will have a strategic Bitcoin reserve before the US.

While the other discussions are telling that China is no longer interested with that because they have banned it.

Maybe it could be real if it's from him after they've talked about it or has got some intel towards that information.

The battle for economic flourish is just silent as it may seem but the race for the Bitcoin accumulation for these superpowers to own the most in their bitcoin reserve is happening quietly.

This must be a news to me as I have been aware of China's intensive buying of gold for the process of de-dollarization. But, stand on cryptocurrencies or particularly on bitcoin, China has not made any statement yet. The last one I can recall was, banning all crypto related activities before the times of pandemic. When China was banning crypto in pre-pandemic times, that hit memes pages by teasing frequent changes of China's stand on cryptocurrencies but after for next 5 to 7 years, I never heard any change of China's stand on crypto currencies. But this time, I am seeing those memes are becoming true and China is going to have bitcoin reserves, must be a fascinating to me.

As expected USA to be holding the highest amount of bitcoins and I am sure that many other countries would be racing with USA to lead the ranking of largest bitcoin reserve. With gold reserve, USA dominated for decades but I am not expecting the same with bitcoin reserve as well.

We have heard such reckless comments from Donald Trump a long time ago and this will be no exception. China is not relaxing its investment in Bitcoin in any way and China has made many such announcements. However, it will be understood in the discussions on some dialogue between the United States and China in November and if the purpose of that is Bitcoin, then Donald Trump is right. However, if China relaxes its Bitcoin acceptance policy again and starts buying Bitcoin for their strategic reserves, Bitcoin will likely surpass $150k.
