Luckily phishing attacks often lack the quality needed to deceive most users, with many typos, images and colours that doesn't fit or look "normal", and other similar errors. But as long as it's profitable for them to only convince a very small percentage from a very big list of users, we'll have to stay alert of such attacks, which I foresee they'll be more elaborated as time goes by and technique progresses.
Yes, that is very true but some people still fall for their malicious attempts which is what I am always surprised about but not everyone have the knowledge about phishing attack. Some people could have been scammed first before they will know about it.
I think this kind of scam can happen on any exchange, so we really need to stay alert. Once you click that kind of link, it’s basically game over- especially if you’ve been keeping your crypto on an exchange instead of a private wallet.
Yes, it can happen on any exchange but it is really bad about how our emails are easily exposed on Gate.io. The exchange did not secure our email away from hackers.
