When I was younger, I already knew how gambling works, and honestly, I’m still into it today. Through the years, I’ve managed to survive, though I can’t deny that I went through the addiction phase too.

That’s why I’m curious, do you think learning gambling at a young age actually helps you become a more responsible gambler as you get older?
Maybe because you’ve already experienced losing early, you learn how to control yourself better?

What do you mean at young age? 18 years or below? I will not advise anyone that is below 18 years to gamble but if you mean above 18 years and still consider yourself young, there is no age that anyone can not start to gamble but I think more age bring more experience to people, I think those that are older will know how to avoid addiction than younger people.

You do realize that you are not supposed to gamble if you are not old enough to do so, so when you say young age you should specify the age range you are talking about. Learning something at a young age doesn't necessarily mean you will be better at it, even more so for gambling if you mind is not ready to handle it then addiction will come very quickly and once you get addicted at a young age getting out of that addiction can become very difficult if not even impossible, gambling requires maturity not just in mind but also in body, no one will legally let you gamble if you are not old enough to do so.

Anyway, I’m not addicted anymore, but that gambler’s tilt is still there sometimes. Whenever it hits, I remember all the wrong decisions I made before, and that’s what reminds me to calm down and stay in control.

In my case I think that the effect of the early exposure to lotteries and other forms of children gambling (physical tokens, sports cards...) was positive, but I wouldn't recommend it to others just in case they get hooked when they become adults.

Seeing my father playing lotteries but never winning made me realise that you can dream and have the hope one day you can win, buy without high expectations. And the bitter sensation of losing the hardly obtained tokens or cards because of playing them with other kids remains even now, so I control very well what I'm willing to lose in every game.

In my opinion the age range of gambling is 18 and above if it was before that technology hasn't upgraded they will no way you will be allow to gamble you can be of age with small body status you won't still be allowed into the gambling hall. But now we have online casinos betting sites that you can register and start gambling no body know what age you are and can't be restricted from gambling, gambling at a young age easily lead to getting addicted into gambling.

You say that you got into gambling at a young age, and that didn’t protect you from addiction, so it’s probably not something that works for everyone. I think the later you start gambling, the better, because at a young age you may not be ready to handle losing money. The only thing it can really give you is experience and the understanding that gambling always involves losses, but I’m not sure if such experience is even necessary, since you can gain it later as well.

It’s really not advisable. Good for you that you didn’t get addicted when you were still young, because if that happened, things could’ve gone worse and you might’ve even become a problem for your family.

There’s a reason why only those aged 21 and above are legally allowed to gamble. Gambling can easily become addictive, especially for minors. So if the answer to your question is yes, maybe it applies to you and a few others, but definitely not to the majority.

Of course, the longer you're in gambling, the more experience you will have on the right way to gamble because you must have seen the good and bad side of gambling. I think it's best to stay away from gambling wherever possible and it could be a great solution.
Being a vice with serious health risks, I would avoid starting young in every way, if you are good at not starting at all, it would be even better.
If I think about it, yes I like to gamble, but it's also true that I haven't changed my economic situation, maybe I would have more money in my pocket, but I would give up the fun.
But it must also be said that there are many other ways of having fun, it's not just gambling.
I started when I was young, but with the thought of now maybe I wouldn't do it again.

Learning how to gamble early has its advantages rendered, when we start doing something at an early age is more different from someone who is just starting lately, but that does not calls for a responsible gambling, because such is from personal decision in choosing how they wanted to gamble and the kind of gambler they wanted to become, so this is more of whom we have chosen to be as a gamblers and how we make the determination to living a gambler's lifestyle.

I know someone who did bad/illegal thing when they were young and yeah, after they mature, they became someone who're serious with their life to chase their dream and make their life better. What they said, they make mistake and doing those thing only when they were youth, rather than being serious when you were young and you're playing around when you're adult.

I consider gambling during youth is a bad thing because it's not allowed by any country.

I did gamble when I were young, but not really focus at that time, it make me not really get addicted when I grow up because I already know the feel during gambling.

As long as tu are using money to bet, they are all gambling. This is very common among high schools in a way that they can use anything to bet. I remember when I was in high school (we call it secondary school here), many if my mate used sport like playing in the school filled to bet, they used dice, pen and many other things to bet. They eleven used asking questions from what they were thought to bet. They are all gambling and betting because they used money for it.
