Well, Bitcoin wasn't very valuable then but what he spent for two pizzas is currently worth hundreds of millions in dollars presently, although he made history as one of the first persons if not the first  to transact with Bitcoin but with the worth of the amount of Bitcoins he spent to buy just two pizzas he'll definitely regret his action. I understand that Bitcoin is better for HODL but we cannot take away the need to spend it because it was created as a currency to be used in everyday needs. See let's be honest, I don't really think someone that has held Bitcoin for years will just wake up one morning and take profit just to spend it carelessly. For someone that had the patience to hold all these years, already shows that the person understand the value it carries. Someone that will spend it anyhow are the ones that don't really understand Bitcoin yet or are just chasing hype.

I fully understand your point about being careful, but I don't fully agree that spending Bitcoin after holding for years automatically means that the person is being careless. See Laszlo's pizza story is always been mentioned, but the fact is that nobody knew what Bitcoin would become.  After doing more research about Laszlo hanyecz I now understand why he spent such amount of Bitcoin on few pizzas, he was an early pioneer of Bitcoin and his experiment created an awareness that Bitcoin could be used for transaction, even though some feel it was unwise anyways different people have their perspective concerning his actions but I won't disregard his contributions to the growth of Bitcoin but I urge people not to take such step since Bitcoin has become very valuable currently.

Nobody is saying you shouldn’t spend your Bitcoin at all. The point is "have plan. So you can take profit, and enjoying your money is okay. Just don't spend without having a good plan.

Well Bitcoin is long term investments assets for one to spend it, its needs to be wisely because the investments was as take as risk so if an individual who in to game wants to spend it has to be reasonable  way and very tangible as you take suffer risk  for long term you gas spend am wisely.
