Yes OP, especially when you closely monitoring the game and you have that strong believe that the team you support is capable to overrun their opponents, so even they are down and still in the process of trying to rally back, you overthink the possible outcome and you end up adding more bets hoping that if the previous one don't manifest the next bet that you place will give you benefits, either to recover or to win more but unfortunate things happen and you got burned after the game.

I've done the same in the past, where I placed another bet. In fact, I placed three bets, one pre-game and two live games. The last one was a moneyline because I put so much trust in that team. It's very wrong.
We, as gamblers, must always think like gamblers only. We cannot be a fan when the game is happening because it will force us to make mistakes that we will regret in the future.

Op this occured to me several occasions, I realized myself that this thing doesn't work by emotion, my joy is the advice I gave myself never to continue such risk or been control by such emotions. I don't even put my mind especially sport betting after booking by checking it regularly as the game is still playing live as the zeal of doubling the game will be there.

Yeah, I've experienced that too, but as much as possible, I don’t want to do it occasionally because I know it’s wrong, and ultimately, I’m the one who will suffer. Sometimes, our over reactions thinking we’re right when we’re not only push us deeper into bad situations.

It is not only an outsider or third party that can manipulate someone because the mind can do that too and that's exactly how it does that by bringing you into emotional level and making you chase what you are losing. That's what it is, chasing your lose. And, that's not the right kind of gambling.

Also that scene is called martingale kind of gambling because you are setting up two bets on same game to recover what you are losing. It is as if you increased your bet. So it is greed that caused you to lose twice instead of once in a game. I have not done that, I try to wait for another chance and not chasing what I'm losing.

This is the reason why I stopped adding more when the game is already on going. I'm set when I have made a bet for the money line, that's good and won't be adding anymore. But I do this for a few times in the past and got lucky with some of those bets and I am not going to do it anymore. The risk is quite high for me and it makes me feel better that I have bet already and close the lines when I've already placed a bet. I think it's a terrible idea to bet on multiple games because there's a chance you might end up losing all of it which makes you lose more in a day. Most of the time I win bets that I had already given up on, when I consider it to be a lost course it always comes through more than the games I thought to myself that the teams had it covered. Like you said, placing more bets is done out of fear of losing the first one.

But now, I won't bet like that anymore because I consider small return isn't worth it, I don't like to bet as much as possible in single bet, even though the possibility the match will end like what we expect, but we can't really make sure about that at the end.

You are right though but nevertheless, i still think that live bets favor bettors more because you are watching this event live and you are seeing some changes in the match as against your judgement when the game started. For instance the match between PSG and Bayern Munich yesterday, almost everyone was saying that PSG will win Bayern Munich but when the game started, the game play changed, and it was becoming obvious that Bayern Munich can win so someone who was watching the match live can bet on Bayern Munich to win based on what was happening live and not what people thought before the match kicked-off. Let me take another instance, in a match where a key player is sent off due to a red card or an injury, the team will just lose their morale which their opponent can take advantage and win them as against the prediction of many people before the game started so to sum it up, live bets creates more winning opportunities than losses.
