Funny, I win more during live games. The problem is the timeline. The NBA games mostly start in the evening Eastern Time, and that's morning here in our country. Sometimes too early. Then, I have to prepare my kids for school and their food in the morning too, so it's really tough to make some time to check the live score.

That is why I always place my bets in the evening because I know I may not be able to watch it in the morning. Luckily, my losses this season are just 2 or 3. I am still up by a good profit.

It sure is more fun betting on live games because you can take advantage of the moving score.

I do both especially if I follow the teams I'm betting also I'm familiar with what's currently happening in the league. Not all the time I can watch the live games and sometimes I rely watching the highlights or even watch the reply of the game.

Buy I think I can do more better on pre game since we have lots of time to research each teams. But somehow I also find some great excitement when betting live especially if I think that the team way behind have chance to recover and win on that game. That's why this is situational and provably lots of people do the same to.

Isn’t it the excitement that actually kills our chances of winning?
I mean, based on my experience, whenever I get too excited or too confident, my picks usually end up being wrong.

I feel like the bookies are smart enough to set lines that look too good to pass up, the ones the public will easily take, but are actually traps. So sometimes that excitement doesn’t really help, unless you’re just betting for fun and don’t care much about the losses anyway.

I'm with pregame lines. I don't want to destroy my excitement by having my phone or computer catching some odds on live betting.
So once the game started, I just enjoyed watching and waiting for the result of the match.

This is kinda traditional.
But I think that some people can say this depends on what sports they are betting, for example, in eSports like Dota, some players tend to bet after the hero picking phase.

I have high winning rate on live betting compared to pregame mainly because I place bet when the margin is high for the favorite team that just performing bas on the early part of the game.

The high point handicap helps to have more margin of error compared on betting on pregame. Sometimes I lose on this strategy since there’s team that doesn’t manage to recover until the end but most of the time they have a solid run to close the gap or win the game.

I bet before matches start but there are also time that I will bet on live matches. That means I am betting on both live match and before match starts. I can win or lose in both, they are both very risky.

I feel like when the handicap is too high, it’s just a trap that makes me lose money like a sucker bet.

In football, there are time that I can go for handicap but instead of going for it, I go for over 2.5 instead for the team I wish should win which is still the same things as -2 handicapped for the losing team. You are right that it is very risky.

Pregame offers more odds and more time to make a precise decision; live games are accompanied by emotional decisions; therefore, I prefer pregame. I have only given live games a little try; my results were inconsistent, it comes with way too much risk in terms of betting amount because you have to bet  a significant amount of money to catch the profit you're really targeting, but less risk in terms of knowing the possible outcome or the results of a particular game because of limited time.

Real gamblers prefers to bets on pregames where they would have enough time researching and analysing the games before they makes decisions.

To me those that bets of live games are usually bettors who lacks analytical skills from using the stats to make their decisions rather, they want the games start so that they they decide their skepticism by the live odds probably when a team is performing better than the other.

I make analyze before the game and use it in betting. But i mostly bet in low leagues and it is stable situation when there are no pregame lines. So i have to make online bets. When it is so, i wait a bit to see how the odds change. If it grows - i wait.

PS. If it is possible i make pregame bet and don`t even watch the game. In my practice it is the best choice.

I like to place a big parlay every week on NFL football a couple days before the games. I don't bet millions or anything, a few bucks to win a few hundred if I get lucky, but on Sundays I watch the games and like to make a bet on or near halftime. With half the game over you can kinda feel how the game is going for both teams and check out the lines for the 2nd half. I'm prob 50/50 on live betting but I lose very little and it makes the games more interesting to watch.

I'll prefer the pregame betting because you have enough time to make good analysis and decisions. Though everyone have their own preferences about this, it's good to do what works for you. As a gambler your early choices sometimes affects your wins. If you are making bets out of what you are seeing and expecting m, you might end up disappointed. Your analysis should be gotten from their previous scores and wins, not what they are currently playing. You just have to be smart because money is involved and we don't want to end up making wrong decisions that would affect our bets negative because they'd are made in haste.

Pressure due to limited time analysis is the cons of betting live games but you can always incorporate your pregame analysis to live games to make a quick bets.

The best example if the team you predicted that should be winning on the game while on the live games they are performing very poor you can place on live games based on the premise that they will do a comeback at some point.

But you can always skip and choose the next live game if you think that you can’t find a precise analysis on existing live games.

I'm more of a pregame bettor, I do bet on live games sometimes but I don't play parlays when selecting these games because it's only going to increase the risks...when I plan to get really strategic with my bets I focus more pregame lines..Taking about 3 to 4 days to to properly do my research gives me more confidence with my selections..both can be profitable if you manage your risks and bet responsibly
