Fake Paid Reviews on Trustpilot – Beware of @247workonly

I recently noticed that this user > @247workonly, is promoting a new service titled "TRUSTPILOT Reviews @ US$4 ONLY: Pay AFTER reviews are live."



I advise everyone to avoid this service for the following reasons:

1- This service for generating fake reviews may be used to mislead investors into thinking they are dealing with a legitimate entity based on these reviews, while the seller's real goal is simply to collect money for the service.

2- There is no guarantee that these reviews will remain active in the future as reviews detected as fake may be removed by Trustpilot and could harm the company’s reputation. It's also worth noting that this service violates Trustpilot's policies, which require reviews to be genuine and not purchased or written by fake/multiple accounts. Only what I am waiting for since morning is a PM that my post has been deleted by the person that created the topic. If that happened, I will give the user a negative feedback because he wants to give fake review on Trustpilot for people that paid him or because I mentioned people to use escrow which he may not like for him not to successfully complete his exit scam.

Thank for the warning and reminding people who are interested or wanting to purchase such services that even Trustpilot is against Fake reviews. Services like that are counted as cheating besides being useless if your platform or product is not worthy.
However, I can see that so many known platforms are filled with these fake reviews on Trustpilot to the point where I avoid checking their reviews because of that. I think it’s not only me who would agree on this matter.

I guess it's a open secret that Trust Pilot reviews can be bought and that's why we shouldn't be bothering ourselves reading their reviews. Maybe in the beginning of their services they used to get a lot of reputation, but then someone exposes their practice and so they were caught cheating. So good catch by the OP and the next time we search for reviews then don't go with Trustpilot. I'm not sure though if there are services like this that can be trusted, just "take everything with a grain of salt".

Surprisingly, he hasn't done that yet; let's see in the next 24 hours —there's a possibility he will, because he knows how to use the forum's features.
That kind of service is why TrustPilot should not be trusted 100%. People are using and exploiting this platform to make money. TrustPilot should have a detection system to trace fake reviews, such as IP address detection, but scammers can use a VPN; they should also have a way to weed out fake reviews.

If he has 1 thousand accounts, how does he get to verify them all because the last time I checked, it took much time to get verified after series of decline. So how could he have been able to get them all verified because only verified account can be able to do a review and this means that his reviews are all fake as he does not really have a first hand experience and knowledge about the product and service he is reviewing thereby putting prospective customers in danger because they would believe what they read and because the review is on a reliable review sites that has long been in existence.
This is how people fall in problem of being scammed because of all these Dave reviews they encounter on review websites thinking what they are reading are all genuine and not knowing that they are all fake and they patronise such vendor and begin to complain of their experience and how they are being treated. I would suggest that such review account here is not taken seriously here.

We cannot deal with this because it is not only on the Bitcointalk forum, and it is a general problem on all similar platforms like Trustpilot, Google reviews, etc...

I saw the thread as well, but did not post anything there. Since he is running an unethical service that could lead people to financial damage, the DT members should start leaving negative feedback on his profile without hesitation. As for a self-moderated thread, it is known that scammers often utilise this feature to remove any negative comments from their thread. It took me a long time to learn how to create a self-moderated thread. However, these new accounts know how to make a self-moderated thread. I am sure they had more accounts here, which were probably tagged already.

But regardless of the feedback will have or will not have any effects, I will still prefer to also give him a negative feedback about how wrong his or her service is by deceiving the world with fake reviews on Trustpilot. Ay least, something like this should be discouraged on this forum, but I understand your point and you are not wrong.

It is not also ethical for any service to purchase Trustpilot reviews. They are simply trying to deceive potential customers and attract them to their service. So it is not only the seller that's at fault here, even the buyers are too.

You could also leave that user a negative feedback. The bottom line is that it would be useless because of their rank, they'll just create as many accounts as possible and continue doing what they are doing.

It took me a long time to learn how to create a self-moderated thread. However, these new accounts know how to make a self-moderated thread. I am sure they had more accounts here, which were probably tagged already.

So, our duty is for all of us to cooperate together whenever we find any new service that could cause harm to others.

Yeah, they should come and we are going to give the accounts negative feedbacks. I am very excited when I noticed that the person's topic has been deleted like 3 hours ago. This also let us know that the probability is very high that such topic will also later be deleted if reported. Such service supposed not to exist on this forum.

When i saw that nonsense thread sometimes ago i was angry and i know that it was going to be deleted,  so needless for me to debute in the ops since is a waste of my time, Trustpilot is one dumbing ground for scammers to get easy ratings via bought positive ratings and the reviews platform Trustpilot have a wacked system that is highly abused at the moment.

I used to deal with such topics myself and tried to fight against them, but I felt it was just a waste of my time. I just accepted that I don't trust every review.
If we were to start a fight against the problem of fake reviews, we would have to clearly define the rules and probably set zero tolerance.
Looking at this problem in general, there is very little difference between the case you presented in this thread and, for example, in the case of buying feedback (& downloads) on Google and Apple stores Link 1 Link 2
I haven't read their terms about this, but I'm convinced that they don't approve of buying user reviews.

Let me emphasize again, this is nothing new and is done to a great extent outside of this forum, nor can we stop this practice by tagging or even banning accounts on the forum.

This is the main point here. The entire service is unethical. So whoever provides and whoever uses it, both are using an unethical service in order to deceive potential customers. A scam business can deceive people using such services. We know 1xbit as scammers. If 1xbit uses such services and potential customers see good reviews of Trustpilot, they may end up using their platform and get scammed easily.

Probably yes, but it is suspicious when a newbie knows how to open a self-moderated thread and how it works. You have to spend some times to learn these things.

I avoid Trustpilot and other rating sites like the plague. I do not trust them. Not even google reviews are trustworthy.

There are too many people like the guy OP pointed out who sell good reviews or bad reviews. Either way they are fake reviews. And now with the age of AI, you cannot really tell who is a real person and who is a bot.

Best you can do is sift through the reviews and see if there is a pattern to what people with verified accounts and (preferably) uploaded pictures are saying.
