This can only happen in Africa where people trust and believe in their religious leaders more than they believe in God. The level of brainwashing is too much on them; any scammer can come in the name of God to tell them stuffs and they will gladly surrender their money and other valuables to them. This is as a result of a high level of ignorance

Believing in God does not equate ignorance. Even the holy book said " test all spirits, if they are from God, you would know ". Investing in crypto or anything else requires you understanding what you are investing in first. A proper research will help you do the right thing. In this present times where there are means to gather information from anywhere in the world, no one is supposed to do anything blindly, even if it is being recommended by a superior person, as long as it involves money, still do your findings.

This can happen anywhere in the world. "Brainwashing" and blind faith in religious leaders can be found everywhere, on all continents and in all countries, unfortunately. Of course, financial decisions should be made based on rational thinking and analysis, not based on emotions and external pressures in society or the church, which are based on false promises.

If I am not mistaking, Africa should be one of the most prominent Christian religious practice places in the world of which I believe you are making your judgement due to the undevelopment in the continent.

What you need to understand is that scammers will always find it means of frauding people of which, vulnerables who are ignorant will always fall victim.
If you would accuse Africa on this scamming strategy using the name of God, which geographical jurisdictions would you hold responsible with the various scamming activities we keep up discussing here?

We talks about malicious malwares and several scamming schemes which scammers are using as a point to lure and scam victims of which, most of their base of operations are not disclosed rather, we speculates the awareness globally so that every crypto users can be at alert.

Perhaps African is not the only Christian religion. The awareness is best essence that bitcoin and crypto users should be aware that scammers are now using religious to scam victims.

Matthew 7:15

Beware of false prophets who comes in disguised as harmless sheep's but are really ferocious wolves.

This can happen only in Africa, and the funniest part is that the so-called followers are going to fall for this trick and become victims. I have seen how they've sold things in the name of a message from God, and their followers used to believe in them, which are all fake. But they need to be careful when it comes to cryptocurrency because of the risks it carries.

There's no message from God to any person about how well any coins will perform in the future, and what these pastors are prophesizing are shitcoins, and shitcoins don't have any future. We shouldn't be brainwashed and follow them blindly, we should do thorough research before investing in any coin.

Well let's not be too quick to cast stones. Maybe as a man with the foresight vision, he might probably be referring to bitcoin. Perhaps that could be his own formalities of speculating about bitcoin price.
Reading this first lines makes me believe if you were part of his sheep, you will easily be deceived by every prophetic utterance that comes out from his mouth whether they are messaged from God or because he chooses to say all of that, don't get deceived by all of these, now God speaks to everyone directly, unlike in the days of old when he usually speaks through the prophets.

The bible talks about false prophets at the latter days, which is the moments we are in, be careful of whosoever calls themselves what they are, people are more interested in making money than doing what is right, a lot of scams are happening in the crypto world, and they use whatever system they can not considering on whose name they lie on.
I don't think Callido read the original post. The post is about some pastors who tell followers that God instructed them to buy some shitcoins (there was no mention of Bitcoin). And after they had bought this coin, they scammed the followers, and the platform will collapse. So do you think it was God who instructed the religious leader to scam the people? In business, don't rely on God to instruct, you need to do your research.

You have made a valid point too. Going through my reply again, I can see that I have generalised wrongly. Truly this can happen anywhere, however my intentions were to point out how common it is here in Africa. I have seen quite alot going on with some religious people which I  see around and it gets me wondering if their religion forbids research. Even with this failed crypto investment, many still won't learn their lessons. They will gladly surrender their possessions to the next person who will come in the name of the Lord.

I read the post, i'm a Christian but don't believe much on pastors coming out to say what God instructed, it has become a popular way to scam people, even outside of the crypto space, people donating money to buy anointed materials in hopes for more financial blessings, my locals can attest to what i mean which is a reason i hardly believe whatever some pastors and what they claim to hear from God. [Ave5 mentioned Bitcoin and i quoted him]

I don't believe whatever pastors says, without having my own conviction. Maybe you understood my post wrongly, but we both are moving on the same train.

Snip

I don't believe whatever pastors says, without having my own conviction. Maybe you understood my post wrongly, but we both are moving on the same train.

It's obvious that the said man of God didn't state a particular crypto currency in the line of his speculation that a new crypto will be in voke of uprising. Then I gave it a benefit of doubt that he might probably be referring to bitcoin following how most of us here are also anticipating that the price will rise again where we could see new Ath before the market goes bear.
I've also in conjunction deemed that if it's a strategy to scam followers, then it's totally condemned and as a christian, it's against the religion.
So we were also on the same page, only that you were picking points while you didn't read through.

This is absolutely ridiculous.

I think many people might be deceived by this religious rhetoric and end up investing because of it.. We should never be influenced by religious speech when it comes to investment. We must conduct our research and not invest based on anyone's advice regardless of their expertise in the field, even if that person is a pastor.

Let's not forget that there are deceitful people who aren't truly men of faith but who exploit religion for their own benefit and to gain َ the sympathy of naive people who might believe their words.. Indeed, God gave us minds to think and use, not to follow those who lack conscience and morality, only to lose our money in the end.. Scam is rampant in the altcoins sector,, especially with newer coins, and scammers will try every possible way to persuade you to invest.. Therefore, you must be vigilant and not be fooled by everything you read or hear; it could be a trap.

And many religious people will fall for this and without having any understanding of bitcoin,  I wonder how they will be able to cope with volatility if the experience it , if they can have patience and still hodl their bitcoin.  This guy is just predicting bitcoin just like every bitcoiner speculate the price of bitcoin just that he is using the name of God which will mislead people to even go in with money they never prepared to use to invest in bitcoin.  Understanding is a key, for those who already understand bitcoin,  this will never be a problem to  them.

I will definitely identify those who say such things as frauds. Because those who truly have a relationship with God in this world will never tell others about it. They will not tell anyone for money that they should invest in any coin.

Those who believe in such words and invest in them will be harmed. Even by talking about the Prophet, people now try to scam. Those who have blind faith must take a decision by looking at previous instance. If you continue to believe in a relationship with God when investing in crypto, you will also be likely to lose.

The people who will be most deceived are those who believe too much in pastors but not fully in the Bible. They always listen more to what their pastors say than to what the Bible says. What I know about religion both Christianity and Islam is that the leaders, called pastors and imams, are meant to preach the word of God, not to make predictions. But some people who call themselves pastors and imams take advantage of those who lack knowledge and use them in different ways. If not for the fact that some scammers claim to be pastors just to have the opportunity to deceive people, what would bring cryptocurrency into religion? It has now reached a point where pastors make predictions about the next coin that will perform well by hidden under religion to scam people.

Most of the projects sponsored and promoted as a religious coin or whatever crypto that is related to religious house or pastor or whatever,  you should know that there are about to swindle you of your money and avoid going to such a church.

There is Zugacoin scam in Africa that church members have lost millions of naira all in investment on a coin own tlby they bishops ZUGA.
But I ask can people be so timid that they won't want to the root if knowing what the want to invest into since they get interested in anything called crypto project, the only people that will fall into this shit are those that believe that God can just splash money on them from heaven, how will people be so stupid to the extent that they don't longer think well, there are somethings that get me pissed, what does does religion has to do with cryptocurrency, whats there relationship, the rate at which some persons worship the words of their religious got me thinking that if thsoe there religious leaders command them to call him their God, they won't have any option than to do as they ask to, this is just set of individuals being too gullible.

The most dangerous weapon someone can use on you is > God told me to......... This have ruined lives and homes.
They know perfectly well that the world is full of believers who don't question anything, people do what they are been told.

Allow these "believers" to become wise. Sometimes, only experience will make a person cautious. Speaking of religion, I'll quote: "The one who seeks not riches, but a good name, is prudent ." Therefore, if wealth is important to a person, then religion will be on the other side of their life, and you, as a helper, are simply obliged to return them to the true faith, allowing them not to be rich Cheesy: "And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

"Excelente"

I know perfectly well what you are hinting at here, sadly it is just the way with Christianity this days, one side of them feels like having money means you are a big sinner as if it is a crime and another part of them want all the riches too like they are just pretending, they are the ones pointing fingers to Muslims as the richest of all.

" Muslims always have money" they would say.

As if there is something about those Muslims that brings them wealth, I believe the most confused set of believers are the Christians, they have the holy book and they can't do their own research, they believe what comes from a man of gods mouth than what's written in the holy book .

Things are now changing over here, after many pastors are exposed many are smartening up, some even stop going to churches, they said they are better off praying at home, but many more are still trapped, they will learn from experience just like you said.

There is also one commandment of God for Christians that never use His name in vain.

Exodus 20:7
You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.

And whoever these influencers, investors, celebrities or whoever they are, I think that are aware of this and it's up to them on how they're going to attract their investors.

It's sad that these religious people are serving mammon and not God because of how they trick people to entrusting them with so much money.

I wonder why people still allow themselves to be involved in things like this, by now people should already understand that there are systems that when set inn place the work as they were programmed to be with little to no spiritual interventions, I even think it's an insult on God to think that among all other things he has to take care of in the world, crypto becomes priority to the point he had to reveal it to a prophet to tell people 😂😂 what happened to the spiritual battels and intercessions these prophets and memn of God are supposed to carry out for the church? Who is going to take care of that duties when the "Men of God" are busy with crypto visions.
Obvious scams and we should never fall for it, except we have decided to be fooled intentionally or we lack the knowledge, if you are on this forum, lacking knowledge doesn't sound real, it sounds like intentional ignorance.  Let us be vigilant and watch out for false "Men of God"

It is highly upsetting matter in which people in shaky crypto community are scamming others with spiritual confidence. Fact that you decided to ask why God would be involved in crypto was smart move and it is most important lesson to take that we need to use our brains in this place so that we will not be cheated, and as rapid disappearance of these so called pastors off of platforms like YouTube after their plans failed is clear sign that they were fraud. Your experience teaches us that everybody must use common sense and be careful in high risk investing, even in matters of religion.

Has a newbie is good to have a mentor that tutor you on crypto so you can have knowledge about it.it makes it easier for you to understand the trade.so you make a lesser mistake when trading.but if you choose to listen to a pastor who says he has seen a vision for you that a certain cion will blow you up so you should purchase, believe me that is the beginning of you failure and you will fail Wolfy.christainity or religion has nothing to do with crypto.crypto is strictly reality.

You are wrong, this is not happening in Africa only, you should look into the Eligio Regalado case, A online pastor with his wife who targeted Christian community, telling them that God had told him that investors would become wealthy if they put their hard earned money into a shit coin called index coin.

Fake men of god are everywhere, blind believers are also in every part of the world, it doesn't matter if they are Britain, American or African, this family scammed $3million from their believers, and now that are arrested, many revelations are fake this days, they claimed that God said, I see nothing but "trust me bro", I am glad that they are facing fraud charges already, there are thousands lost souls like they fake men of God out there.

Jesus Christ moves around on Donkey and mostly on foot, and today's men of God want the private jet illegally.

Bitcoin and prophecy and other kinds of spiritual stuff are attached to crypto, which I don't even understand. Where do they drag that mentality from? Some people just follow their preachers blindly without even thinking for themselves or even researching on how things work. Well, like a member said in this thread, there's no need to try to put most believers on the right path; allow them to learn the hard way, and they will advise themselveson what's best to do.

Funnily enough,a lot of he's followers on social media will blindly fall for he's scam tactic.Even the Bible made us to understand that we should be aware of false prophets and always apply wisdom on every ramification of life because wisdom is profitable. He thought of using the name God in he's scam strategy because a lot of believers would believe probably because he has heard it from God since he called himself a prophet, but don't be easily deceived.I call all these "clickbait"because if they don't display their write-ups in a catchy way nobody would be interested in clicking it and going forward,so don't be hasty in doing whatever you must have read on the internet about the crypto space.
