This will be my last topic about political matter regarding United States and Nigeria regarding Trump invasion. I just want to make some things clear to Nigerians on this forum because I saw some of their posts and I think we should always think twice before making any statement against what could possibly not later favour our country.

It would be better for Trump to be making good investigation before saying something like that. Trump claimed few months ago that South Africa are killing Whites but which is not true because Blacks are also targeted and killed. This is kind of similar to what is happening in Nigeria.

I know about this before, but I do not want to jump into conclusion. Do you know that politician like Peter Obi talked about the insecurity in Nigeria but he did not mention Christian genocide?

Sometime ago we heard they wanted to scrap Christian Religious Studies(CRS) from the curriculum of schools where nothing about Christ will be taught, Muslim wants to the country to be an Islamic country and I feel that the agenda behind all the Christian killings, it's painful how this people get slaughtered and the president pays a blind eye to it, Trump should come to the aids of the Christian, the killings is just unbearable.

Generally, the level of insecurity in Nigeria is overwhelming, couple with the christians genocide. It is important to know that many Nigerians are living in fear as result of the activities of this unscrupulous Islamic terrorist, the recent massacre took place in Benue state, where more than 200 citizens were killed,  including little children, and what measure is the government of Nigeria led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu putting in place to stop this massive killing of Many Christians and innocent Nigerians.
It is glaring that the government don't care about the lives of the citizens of Nigeria, otherwise they would have taken action against this terrorist.

Even if some Nigerians are against Donald trump's statement, but people have to speak out and action has to be carried out immediately, maybe the relations of those speaking against Donald trump are not yet victims of this circumstances , and not untill it affects them, that is when they will take action.

The lives of every Nigerian matters a lot and therefore should be protected. What is the reason for having government in authority when they can not even protect the lives of the citizens, and if they know they can not protect the lives of the citizens, is better they license every Nigerian to have a gun, let everyone protect him or herself since the government can not guarantee the safety of the citizens of Nigeria.

In as much as I am not really impressed with the way and manner the Nigerian government has handled this issue of genocide wether of christians or Muslims, I must state emphatically that I am not in support of the threat of the US president due to the antecedents of the united States and the other nations they have been to previously. There has never been any country where the US has stepped foot into that have ever remained the same, their presence in Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq and so many other countries they invaded have remained devastated over the year and have been struggling to recover from the devastating impact of activities of the US in those regions and at such I wouldn't advice the Nigerian government to allow same to happen here, rather we should think of a possible solutions to tackling this issue of insecurity internally.

I quite disagree with you, even if we all know that terrorism is a global crime but if not tackled adequately it would seem as if the government of the day is being naive and the international community may begin to have a negative impression about the government's method of handling the situation, what do you expect the world to think about a country where some of it's territories are being controlled by bandits and terrorist yet the government can't even combat these criminals and recover those territories, it's very shameful and I don't think the US president was out of context but was right when he mentioned genocide wether it was christian or Muslims, the most important thing is that people are being killed now and then and the government isn't doing much to prevent these crimes.

All the country which the US have gone to their aids haven't remain the same ever since they visited. So them coming right here in Nigeria might be the same thing as other countries or even worse.

If the US military come to Nigeria, there will be enough bombing and a whole lot of casualties in those states. They will not try to protect anyone/innocent because it is not their country. Bombing and a lot of bombing will keep on happening and maybe this will escalate to other peaceful states in Nigeria.

Our politicians have the power to make things right, they should just focus on the people that are funding the terrorists and neutralize them but putting them in jail. Even politicians and none politicians that are involved should be arrested. If one person is arrested I'm sure that the person will call the names of other people that are involved in funding terrorists.

If the US wants to fight terrorism in their country, they don't do it through bombing because of innocent people but coming here to fight against terrorists, there will be a lot of casualties and they won't care because it is not their country.

This sometimes becomes an emotional kind of discussion because of how sensitive it is but on a broader point of view, we all know that while killing on a general bases has increased to a large extent, religious killing by some set of religious folks has grown worrisome to the extent that an external statement like the one trump has put forward is not in any way out of place.

I'm trying to think about why China and the European Union will support Nigeria against Donald Trump. Although if there was false belief from Donald Trump against the South Africans over the white killings before, we cannot say the Nigerians killing is also a false belief from Donald Trump because is not, everyone is concerned about all those killings because is everywhere on the media new so is not a rumor that people are not seeing but only hearing it, the only thing Donald Trump need to no is that he should not judge it to the entire Muslim, though a lot of those killings come from them but there are a lot of them who has good intentions and doesn't have the mind to hurt anybody. This is actually a nice one I appreciate your effort in this but let me say this because I don't know how often you listen to news the people killing Christians is the bokoharam terrorist and they are also killing the Muslim that's correct but in the other hands the Muslim now imetate the same killing of bokoharam and start killing the Christain but not many of them are into this , Trump doesn't know who are the bokoharam he only believes is the Muslim which is very wrong,in as much as Muslim and Christianity they are moving on their separate parts,the killings is coming from bokoharam of which they also use the same kuram as Muslim but in other way they kill minority of Muslim and kill majority of Christianity so this is just same the as saying that the Muslim is killing the Christain,so it has been confirmed.

Trump treat has both negative and positive impact. Negative in the sense that it has created tension in the country but it still have a positive side because his treat has created much awareness on the killings, he is a man of influence as long as this world is concerned and his speeches go a long way in sending message. Our president and military will be on their toes this period because they will be scared of anything that will provoke further comments from Trump.

Though we have to be careful before jumping into certain conclusions, yes there are so much of killings in the north but i don’t feel it’s only Christians, Muslims are also killed at times even idle worshippers so let it not just be coined to only Christians, instead if i was the president i will see Trumps speech as a wake up call and employ every means possible to cub the unnecessary killings even if it means seeking military aids from foreign nation.

Terrorism is a global phenomenon and every nation should fight it with any means possible, it’s not everything that should be looked at from the angle of politics or gain at every point, Trump might be just concerned about the killings and might not have taken it the way Nigerians are taking it, though am not saying we should completely rule out the place of interest because no 1st world currently would want to give certain aids if they haven’t seen something of value that they will want to take or gain in that country, hence even if Nigeria government is to partner with America it must be within a carefully selected jurisdiction.

I really don't like to delve into this kind of issues, but this is a situation we are having in our country and it has been brought here as a topic for discussion,  so I just have to give my opinion. I wouldn't want to say it's a genocide on the Christian,  because I really I don't have any concrete proof, although I am a Christian and I will want to make that clear here.
My issues is why most of our politicians and some wealthy people are against Trump's intervention. We have had this issues for about 16 years now and we have not been able to solve it, so I don't think it's bad if Trump wants to help out. What I think the government should do is to collaborate with the American government and see how they can end this insurgency in Nigeria.  We need a peaceful nation where citizens can move freely in any part of the country without fear. I feel there are top politicians and wealthy people that are benefitting from the insurgency that's why they don't want Trump to try and stop it. Thus is just my opinion,  I might be wrong.

There's this speech I listened to from an ex-army general. He said in that speech that any killings that are happening in any part of the country, and that have been prolonged for a long time, the government has a hand in it because they have the Intel and resources to put a stop to those killings immediately.

China has a big fallout with the US and it's understandable that both of them will not agree on certain issues. US supports Israel and China is against whatever Israel is doing in the Middle East. Both US and China cannot agree politically so I understand why China is pulling support for Nigeria concerning this issue.

In Nigeria both Christians and Muslims are killed that's true but the question is, who's doing the killings? What particular group of people are use to commit these crimes, exactly, it's the same thing you're thinking that I'm also thinking. Whatever that will bring peace and end these nonsensical killings I'm ok with it. If it will take the intervention of another country to stop this maniac in Nigeria then I'm ok with it. When I watch the news and I see the atrocities commited towards my fellow humans I shed tears.
