Trump threat about Nigeria invasion

This will be my last topic about political matter regarding United States and Nigeria regarding Trump invasion. I just want to make some things clear to Nigerians on this forum because I saw some of their posts and I think we should always think twice before making any statement against what could possibly not later favour our country.

It would be better for Trump to be making good investigation before saying something like that. Trump claimed few months ago that South Africa are killing Whites but which is not true because Blacks are also targeted and killed. This is kind of similar to what is happening in Nigeria.

I know about this before, but I do not want to jump into conclusion. Do you know that politician like Peter Obi talked about the insecurity in Nigeria but he did not mention Christian genocide?

If i were to be the Nigerian president or his close Adviser,  i would have advised the Nigerian president not to make any statement about Trump, talks, and also warned all my political associates never to join the discussion regardless of the amount of trends it generates online.

Trump was actually out of context with his statement,  about the insecurity and killings in Nigeria and for sure, he made it sounds as if what is happening in Nigeria is a religious war and not terrorism.

Terrorism is a global crimes and United States must collaborate with the rest of the world to fight terrorism and not to indirectly or unfundedly jump into conclusions that a s particular religion is targeted.

This is not just about terrorism and you can't expect a sitting president to go mute on a critical and terrible situation as such, Nigerian President needs to respond to the allegations leveled against him by Trump. This Christian genocide is not new to us, the Muslim has been hiding under the pretext of terrorism to kill the Christians and the government is aware of it all this years, yet no one dares to speak about it, the innocent Christians at the northern parts of Nigeria keeps being a victim of Man slaughter from bandits, I believe this is an agenda and they just want to wipe the Christian religion out of Nigeria.

Sometime ago we heard they wanted to scrap Christian Religious Studies(CRS) from the curriculum of schools where nothing about Christ will be taught, Muslim wants to the country to be an Islamic country and I feel that the agenda behind all the Christian killings, it's painful how this people get slaughtered and the president pays a blind eye to it, Trump should come to the aids of the Christian, the killings is just unbearable.

Generally, the level of insecurity in Nigeria is overwhelming, couple with the christians genocide. It is important to know that many Nigerians are living in fear as result of the activities of this unscrupulous Islamic terrorist, the recent massacre took place in Benue state, where more than 200 citizens were killed,  including little children, and what measure is the government of Nigeria led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu putting in place to stop this massive killing of Many Christians and innocent Nigerians.
It is glaring that the government don't care about the lives of the citizens of Nigeria, otherwise they would have taken action against this terrorist.

Even if some Nigerians are against Donald trump's statement, but people have to speak out and action has to be carried out immediately, maybe the relations of those speaking against Donald trump are not yet victims of this circumstances , and not untill it affects them, that is when they will take action.

The lives of every Nigerian matters a lot and therefore should be protected. What is the reason for having government in authority when they can not even protect the lives of the citizens, and if they know they can not protect the lives of the citizens, is better they license every Nigerian to have a gun, let everyone protect him or herself since the government can not guarantee the safety of the citizens of Nigeria.

In as much as I am not really impressed with the way and manner the Nigerian government has handled this issue of genocide wether of christians or Muslims, I must state emphatically that I am not in support of the threat of the US president due to the antecedents of the united States and the other nations they have been to previously. There has never been any country where the US has stepped foot into that have ever remained the same, their presence in Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq and so many other countries they invaded have remained devastated over the year and have been struggling to recover from the devastating impact of activities of the US in those regions and at such I wouldn't advice the Nigerian government to allow same to happen here, rather we should think of a possible solutions to tackling this issue of insecurity internally.

I quite disagree with you, even if we all know that terrorism is a global crime but if not tackled adequately it would seem as if the government of the day is being naive and the international community may begin to have a negative impression about the government's method of handling the situation, what do you expect the world to think about a country where some of it's territories are being controlled by bandits and terrorist yet the government can't even combat these criminals and recover those territories, it's very shameful and I don't think the US president was out of context but was right when he mentioned genocide wether it was christian or Muslims, the most important thing is that people are being killed now and then and the government isn't doing much to prevent these crimes.

Trump is not your savior, Trump coming to Nigeria will not end well but increase the killing.
You might not agree with me but that is the real truth which I'm saying. I'm not just saying based on assumptions because I have taken my time to view things on different perspective. All the country which the US have gone to their aids haven't remain the same ever since they visited. So them coming right here in Nigeria might be the same thing as other countries or even worse.

If the US military come to Nigeria, there will be enough bombing and a whole lot of casualties in those states. They will not try to protect anyone/innocent because it is not their country. Bombing and a lot of bombing will keep on happening and maybe this will escalate to other peaceful states in Nigeria.

Our politicians have the power to make things right, they should just focus on the people that are funding the terrorists and neutralize them but putting them in jail. Even politicians and none politicians that are involved should be arrested. If one person is arrested I'm sure that the person will call the names of other people that are involved in funding terrorists.

If the US wants to fight terrorism in their country, they don't do it through bombing because of innocent people but coming here to fight against terrorists, there will be a lot of casualties and they won't care because it is not their country.

This sometimes becomes an emotional kind of discussion because of how sensitive it is but on a broader point of view, we all know that while killing on a general bases has increased to a large extent, religious killing by some set of religious folks has grown worrisome to the extent that an external statement like the one trump has put forward is not in any way out of place.

there might not be readily available data that shows the ratio of religious killing to the normal killing of regular Nigerians but what seems to be the reality on ground is that religious killing has led to massive loss of loss to the degree that a state of emergency ought to be declared to that regard. Trump might have his ulterior motive but that not withstand, it is necessary that we condemn in all level of honesty the unawesome act of killing that has been regularly mated on Christians by some set of Muslim faithful.
