Are you checking for odds on different betting sites

I do not know some people can take betting to this extra level by comparing different bookies before betting. They will be checking for the odds that they want to select on the bookies an bet on the bookie that has the highest odd.

This does not make any sense to me and I can not do it but I saw something like this on a thread on the gambling board. Are you doing something like that?

I prefer to bet mostly on just 3 gambling sites. Two of the gambling sites are casinos and bookies and one only has casino. I do not gamble on the gambling sites because of odds advantage but because I want to have fun.

Sometimes i see that as lack of knowledge about odds calculations and how it works,  no book maker will give you extra odds for games, regardless of the level of competition in the market,  most and all odds are almost same Sometimes, i use to think that their is a uniform odds calibrator for bookies.

Is a total waste of time to be checking different casinos for favorable odds when you should already have good odd on your current bookies,  the difference are not much at all.

I can agree with the personal preference given to certain sportsbooks/casinos because you trust them, you know their history, and their proven reliability in short words because you feel home playing on them
is you're a recreational bettor
But when you start betting in a way that we might call "professional" or that involves significant sums of money, comparing odds or relying on odds comparison services is definitely a smart move and one that provides you with added value.

I'm one of those types of bettors, and I always try to check the odds from other sites because I could be missing out on a 5-10% odds difference if I stick to one sportsbook. It might not be that much, but that small difference starts to add up for bettors who bet frequently.

It's also why I don't mind signing up for new sportsbooks, as there's a likely chance they offer competitive odds and it's one of the few ways to reduce the juice and improve your profitability.

Sometimes i did check the odds between sportbooks for comparation but very often too i didn't that and as far i know the difference odds between sportbooks is not too significant even very often the odds are same so, this makes me feel not too necessary to compared the odds between sportbooks because basically the odds are same however for comparation i didn't entering the sites one by one and my habit is if i want to check the difference odds usually i used oddspedia.com and i think this site is usefull because we can see the odds from most of popular sportbooks without visiting the site

Well, it might not make any sense to you because you don't don't take betting very serious as a source of income the way some bettors do, but it makes so much sense to some bettor who has account on different bookies and they do odds comparison a lot, then they only bet on bookies with the best odd for the game they want to bet on. I guess you came across that on this thread or another one other which I didn't read. I do compare odd at time but it doesn't usually have any significant difference for me to jump from one bookie to the other. I guess those players that are taking betting more serious and are also staking with a huge amount of money takes odd difference more serious.

Looking at the odds on the sites I trust, there is usually only a .01-.05 difference, so there is no point in me really caring about which to use. If I choose gamdom and see 1.90 odd, then look at BITSLER and see 1.91 odd, and check Rainbet and see 1.92 odds I am not gonna waste my time trying to depo and waste fees on all 3. Just gonna make a bet on whichever site I have funds on.

Not anymore, because I already trust the sportsbook I’m using that they offer very competitive odds and a wide market, so there’s really no need for me to keep checking others.
I also don’t do arbitrage betting, so it’s even less necessary.

Before signing up, I already compared their odds with other sportsbooks to make sure they’re at par with the standard.
Once I saw they were good, that’s where I registered, and since then, I’ve just stuck with them.

Many bettors actually do that especially the ones who are more serious or professional about it they call it odds shopping or line shopping and it’s basically a way to maximize potential profit by finding the highest payout possible for the same bet even if the difference looks small like 1.90 on one site and 1.95 on another over time those small margins can make a noticeable difference for people who bet frequently or with large stakes.

For casual gamblers though it’s understandable why it doesn’t seem worth the effort if your goal is just to enjoy the experience then chasing a tiny difference in odds doesn’t really add value you’d rather stay in one place that’s easy to use and reliable rather than waste time switching between sites the fun part of gambling for casual players comes from the thrill of the game not necessarily from squeezing every possible cent of profit out of each wager.

That pattern and stress such bettors go through won't make sense to you, but it does to them because they treat gambling more like business than just a place of having fun, so when you see something like business, you try to explore every possible opportunity out there to make sure that you benefit more if there ever be a chance to win that bet. I have a lot of people who do that, but personally, I don't see any point in that. As long as my current casino is giving me what I want, I'm satisfied.

It’s really not worth spending time checking different sportsbooks if you’re not betting big amounts. Once you’ve created an account with a certain sportsbook, that already means you’re satisfied with the odds they’re offering. Personally, I have around three or more sportsbook accounts, but I never bother comparing the odds anymore. I’m confident I’m already getting good ones , usually around 1.90, sometimes even 1.92, and that’s already a nice level for me.

I don't need to go through the trouble of doing something like that. Even though there are differences in Odds from each bookmaker, I’m not sure the differences would be very significant, especially for bets on top leagues. 
I find that method quite complicated, opening three sites and comparing the Odds for the same bet. Yet, you still have to make deposits on all betting sites. 
Perhaps bettors don’t want to compare Odds and bet on the highest Odds, but want to take advantage of it to still make a profit on bets.

I learnt that most people predict games base on odd. And I must confess I know a person that does his prediction base on odd. my friend is a typical example, he compears different odd from different gambling site before making bet. He can look at odd and predict the possible win he knows wining odd and draw odd, I don't know how he does that but whenever he wants to predict draw he will check the odd in 3 to 4 gambling site and tell me that this odd is a draw odd and if it's a wining odd he will also tell me that it's a wining odd. I don't just know how he does that, but this thread just reminded me of him, so I believe that it's his own way of prediction. So each person has a strategy that works for them. My strategy may be different from your's but we all have our target and what works best for us.

No, I don't check for odds on different betting sites. Although it may make sense, I think that the slight variations in the odds on different sites aren't usually worth the effort. In the end, what is really important is to win or lose! Maybe for very heavy bettors it makes sense to look into the detail of these little discordances between odds, but I think that I have better things to do than to worry about them, when what I look for when I bet is to have fun and not complicate my life even more. There might be a difference, but it’s usually just around 0.01 to 0.03 .. a really small margin, especially for casual bettors like us. It only becomes significant if you’re wagering huge amounts, like $10k per bet, because that tiny difference could actually increase your payout noticeably. But for us, it’s not really worth the effort to compare. The only time I check other sportsbooks is when the fight or event I’m betting on isn’t listed in my main book, usually those lesser-known or low-profile matches.

I dont compare odds on different sites because I wont be switching casino, that I am used to gamble, to other casino because of slightly better odds. Odds are more or less the same everywhere. As a regular bettor, because of size of my bet, odd difference isnt that much noticeable. If I was a rich person and bet millions, that max +/- 0.1 difference might make a point. If the difference in odds is huge on two sites, I will become suspicious. If many sites offer different bets, then I would consider not betting at all, if there is such a mess among casinos.

In some cases , like while betting on underdog, this could be something that you must to do before betting.
You had to pay attention and avoid to waste useful decimals. This could make the difference.
In the long run you will see as these earning and you could be wlll known in advance (mostly the same) where to bet a specific event.
The highest odds are in the vast majority offered in p2p/betting exchange games....

Nope i do not do this. I have my preferred casinos and that is where i gamble. Most times the one i decide to go with is probably the one that i have some funds left in my available balance. I don't compare odds and choose a platform because their odds is higher, because the difference is usually insignificant and i am not going to register on a new casino simply because of that.

There's no limit to the level of research people make before placing their bets, I believe every gambler is at the leverage of gambling according to their definitions. Some hunt better odds just like people look around for exchanges with better rates when engaging in P2P.

I don't because I've limited time for gambling and I'll not spend my whole session timing looking around for better odds. I like having my fun in any casino I choose, place my bets and use the rest of my time and bankroll on the casino games especially crash games.
