I've heard a couple of times were people say a match is fixed to fauster peace between communities.  Players come together and play locally have fun and close.
Does sporting activities really play a role of bring peace to communities or even nations? If yes kindly state some ways it plays that. 
Or do they just play these games just first the fun of the games and leave?

Locally, I have seen such a type of sports event hosted by community members, and it actually does work. If there is a little conflict between both communities which they are already on the edge of resolving on a political level, which will soften ground for them to move further to the sports event level, since both teams from both side of the community will have to meet on the field and supporters from both side will also be available for the event to cheer their team up there is high possibility of raising mutual connection among themselves, their could be more to it, but it’s actually do work if it doesn’t they could have not been hosting it.

I have never heard of this but I live in the USA. It could be something that is more prevalent in areas of the world less fortunate? Whether it does or doesn't happen, anything that can improve relations is worth trying IMO. I would much rather see people getting along then violence. The world is ugly enough.

Maybe this is what we call friendly game? It could be between towns vs towns for those countries that are living in 3rd world countries? Because as far as I know, like first rate countries are very competitive against each other and might not agree to have game fixed.

So this could be just a friendly game, there could be scores but at the end of the day, teams are going to acknowledge one another and not considered it as something that they are going to brag as beating their arch rival.

No traffic, zero violence, no case, cease fire!

This always happen before! Every sunday morning in PH time and Manny PACMAN Pacquioa is fighting on the  ring.

You seem to be joking. What kind of peace can we talk about in the sports community?

It's the other way around. Sports "provokes" hostility between people. Think of "classic" football fans. These people are ready to show aggression towards others simply because their "opponents" support the other team.

Confrontation is always present in sports. Either "my favorite team (an athlete in a particular sport)" plays against your "favorite team," or a representative of "my country" competes against a representative of "your country." This doesn't necessarily manifest itself in outright hostility and aggression, but it still creates an invisible line between people, dividing them into two camps: one's own (who supports the same team, athlete, or country as me) and the other's (who favors others\foreigners more).

What I see is that such events can be fixed just because it indicates peace and not war. During world war 2, world cup was stopped from 1942 to 1946 or so. Just use that to relate the communities. Doing something entertaining together still means there is peace and which is what people in the communities will want.

I play football for more than twenty years and i`ve never seen such situation. If i played with someone, i don`t like in one team - i tried to be nice during the game, but that`s all. After game everything returned back.
If my team played with team, we don`t like - it mostly was rude game and after it we mostly became "more enemies" than before.
Situation was the same when i was a fan.

May be somewhere it works, but in my experience - it wasn`t so.

Those were the days mate, when we have our beloved Manny going into the ring and make the Philippines peaceful during his fight. Not only that, the Christian and Muslim wars in Mindanao literally stop and he united the country during that time.

So yes, there could be bright moments in some countries in any sports that can that can make that nation to be united and then have some fun. No violence, just gesture of peace.

Well, that can go both ways... Sport events should promote peace & unity between communities, but the opposite can happen too. There are many cases where sports events escalated into chaos & riot. All Blakan people know about the Dinamo Zagreb vs Crvena Zvezda (1990) and what happened there... and I believe that even after all these years, everyone still has their own version of the story. Anyway, there are many more similar stories here in the Balkans, too many... as well as all around the world.

Just look at the Olympics - it’s the biggest competition in the world, and people watch it because it promotes unity among countries even though it’s still a contest. With that kind of unity, it helps bring peace and pride to every nation.

But the sports you mentioned that are sponsored by businessmen, those are more of a business now.
Still, they somehow contribute to peace since we get to watch and enjoy them regularly. It’s just that we can’t deny there will always be bad actors who try to cheat, same as in government, where officials are elected by the people but some still turn out corrupt.

It’s the reality of the world we live in today, and we just have to accept that.

Yes it does but I don't know how they dialogues with thei disputes. I've only withnessed the entertainment events where both parties negotiates on participating on particular activities such as the football which proves a unification amongst and peace appealing within both communities.
It's just all about fun with no prize awards to whom may be the winner. Sometimes the joint contender events create stronger unities amongst them.

Sport itself inherently implies unity. Read about when and why the Olympic Games were invented. Any sport is about friendship between people and nations. However, the minds of foolish, evil people are always capable of perceiving the incitement of hatred and enmity, and sport itself isn't to blame for this. It's always necessary to seek out those who benefit from sowing discord between nations. Unfortunately, this is also true of global sports, where countries that are at odds with each other are sometimes excluded.

Sports in general are an important part of our cultures, so I strongly believe in the role they play in some cases towards peace and, also worth mentioning, toward hate and aggression.

Because yes, there are friendly matches to enhance partnerships between different nationalities, communities, teams..., but there are also other groups who seek the opposite and contribute to violence based on race, religion, nationality or simply T-shirt colours.

Actually sport have a role to bring peace, but unfortunately, in my country, sometimes it worked, and sometimes it 's not. When we are supporting national team/players, all supporters can unite and forget about their club rivalries, everyone just come to stadium to support national team/player. But, when they are supporting a club with strong rivalries, i see chaos often happens at the end of the match. This, not because of the peace doesn't work, but because of supporter mindset also have a role to bring peace at any game.

I'll give you an example. India and Pakistan, both these nations have tense relations already, and whenever these two have a cricket match, the same tension is felt there, and I don't think cricket helps fostering peace between these two nations whatsoever, it's just different field where they feel like an enemy again.

To be sincere, Sports have broken the chain of racism and religious boundaries a lot of times. Not only sports, I believe it's almost everything that has to do with entertainment, and outdoor activities that have played a huge role in bringing people of different ethnicities and beliefs together. However, there are also situations where it causes fights between cities, fans, and countries. This is why we have organizations like FIFA, FIBA, etc, whose duty is to create rules and regulations that will prevent, manage, and also develop the sports activities.

That kind of peace doesn't work everywhere In the sport community, some teams would always quarrel at every game. Like it's been planned for them to display such rough behaviors after a match. Whether win or lose, the fight must go on, either the refree get blamed or the lines man. It's always terrible in street football and high school competitions.

Sports is always seen as a way to arose nationalism, keep youths physically fit and healthy and increase international soft power. In the time of cold war, the war was also in sports where winning more medals and tournaments were linked to national pride and international admiration. US and USSR set up large academies, school sports and summer sports camp during that period. Even today, Olympics is becoming a soft power fight between China and USA. Football is a way of getting out of poverty in Latin America whereas some fierce competitor would rather give away trophies in order to win against their arch rivals.
So, no games are not just fun.

What I know is that sport can create harmony and brotherhood nationally or internationally, as we often see, for example, football or national sports, provincial, national and so on, which will create harmony and brotherhood between fellow players.

Sport can create peace. I haven't seen the impact directly, the way they do it.
Example:
The countries of Israel and Palestine, if a sports tournament is held, I think bombs will explode on the field or clashes, not peace and other countries.
So how does sport become an arena for peace, honestly I don't know how it works.
