With the altcoin market situation that is very difficult to guess the direction, it is not surprising that people focus more on bitcoin to avoid losses that are quite troublesome. For this reason, I also began to reduce my interest in new types of altcoins launched in 2025, the trend of RWA and AI with many choices actually made the market even more messy.

The crypto market is now almost 15 years old and we are now in a position to tell where our focus should be. Every year we see a new trend emerging in crypto market which attract people money. After sometime the trend changes and people move to new trend. ICOs, NFTs, AI and RWA are few noticeable trends of past and present. I do agree with your thought that it's better for us to focus our attention on Bitcoin and invest less on new projects. Because new projects rarely give it's investors a good return.

Following the hype is temporary. We have seen these hypes ending quite soon and some other coin will be hyped which will not last as well. I will not say that investing in these hyped coins will never give us profit instead these can give us quick profit if we know how to buy rumors and sell the news. This is something which required good research and experience as usually these hyped coins can eat up all of our profits or even make our accounts worthless.

I will mostly ignore investing in these hyped coins until and unless I see there is strong backing for that hype. If the project is really worth hype than yes, investing early can make us earn profits but we should also know when and how to exit. Sticking around with these hyped coins is never a good choice.

If you want to invest in crypto then Bitcoin must be our first choice and if someone want to go for alts then choose from top 10 on coinmarketcap.com like Eth or BnB. The new concepts like meme coins, NFTs keep emerging with time and one can invest in such coins for short duration only i.e. you invest and exit as soon as you see good profit. Such coins are never recommended for long term because if there price went down then we can't say with confidence that they will rise up in future.

This is a rather unpredictable time for the market direction, and it's very volatile. But, we also know that holding altcoins requires in-depth research and understanding their behavior compared to Bitcoin's price movements. Even though we know the coins we are holding are major coins and they are still quite strong but finding the best entry point is important to in this moment.

Given today's market sentiment, selling pressure remains quite strong, with occasional price spikes. We should wait until the price reaches support or a demand zone on a lower time frame. I mean, don't rush into buying now.

Personally, I still see a chance for altcoins to rise and the whales are also looking to profit.

I think market has never been predictable but if I can speculate on the current market, I would say that the coins are likely to dip more, since the market condition is negative already.

Before one starts indeed that a an in-depth knowledge is a must to know the do's and don'ts but if in terms of movement in general, BTC is more volatile that in alts, so BTC must be more risky than them. It is given that the market is in a bad shape, so if there is a strong pressure, that should come from buyers and only a few from sellers which can come from the weak handed people.

I wonder if anymore potential projects will come forward lately. We did see some really good project emerging in the past, few of them succeed while some lost their value over time which made people think are altcoins really worth investing. The same money invested in bitcoins can give really good profits so is it really worth taking risk investing in altcoins?

For me, yes I think few altcoins still are worth investing and we can watch the markets closely as the recent dump can create a surge for these altcoins. Usually in dump, people tend to move money out of bitcoins. The same money needs to be invested elsewhere so people will look forwards towards altcoins and this can increase prices for altcoins so I think this might be a good time to invest in altcoins.

And since the market is controlled by Bitcoin, and since the market is controlled by Bitcoin, and the Bitcoin price is coming down, what are we expecting? The price is going to go up, as far as the price of Bitcoin is concerned. As it is coming down, so is the price of other cryptocurrencies, and this is not the first time that something like this has happened, so everyone who knows the market should not be panicking about anything because this is not the first time, and before, when things like this happened, the next step they took was to sell.

But people no longer sell because they are scared of selling due to the condition of the market, so anyone who is selling now is selling at a loss, and everyone is trying to keep their funds safe from the slaughtering in the market, and there are the worst market conditions. And everyone survived, so this is nothing compared to what has happened in the previous years. so this is where the patience of people will be tested if they are selling or not. and the only thing they can do is to even buy more in this condition.

There have been records of heavy sell off, as we know this is Christmass season and at that we have to note that alot of bills and buying will be done, Many people may have saved up their Christmas many in Bitcoin and at the moment cashing out to make expenses, this is somewhat what is happening right now and here.

There is no need for any big preparations of the crypto market, it is already turning into a thing that is filled of manipulations and when the market is working towards that path, then it has already become a thing of less expectations from it. The altcoin market is not making wave because even if new projects are launched, there will be no new investors willing to invest in the project. Investors are now wiser than before and are looking to invests in real time projects that will give them good returns. The market is down and if you invest in anyhow project, you may lose your money. The time crypto market behaves smoothly do affect the whole price movement of every crypto especially on the altcoin, but this moment is different than before, you could see the shift in price of Bitcoin and the rest of altcoin follows thereafter..

The thing is, Bitcoin has been reaching new ATHs while altcoins are left behind in the dust. It's been a long time since any altcoin has experienced a new ATH. ETH was close to reaching a new ATH, only to take a step backwards shortly thereafter. ZEC surged in price lately, but it's still below the last-recorded ATH since launch.

Long-term speaking, altcoins are a losing game. I guess the only way to make money with alts is by taking advantage of the "ups and downs" within the short-term. Unless spot ETFs for major altcoins come into the fold, don't expect things to improve anytime soon. Time will tell us whenever altcoins are nothing but a failed experiment or all the other way around.

Because there are many developments happen on Bitcoin which caught the attention of Bitcoin. If they notice there are lots of discussion about more possible ATH will be hit by Bitcoin and there are less discussions about those alts.

That's why maybe this affect the alt season since as we can notice this market condition didn't came. To many people stop hopping to see that situation to happen since there's few chance that what they are waiting to happen will came for this year.

I also think that altcoin is losing the game this year. So instead of getting disappointed much better for people to act on what's currently happening in the market and buy those top alts which still have great potential while market is in bearish trend. Since there's good chance it will pump if Bitcoin and other top alts will start to recover.

Bitcoin is the best option to consider when you want to invest because Bitcoin determines all the direction in the crypto market, so whenever Bitcoin is at a peak, your money will go up. There are other alternative currencies like the ones you mentioned. If you want to invest in anything aside from Bitcoin, then you have to follow the trend, and that way, you will be able to make money from the trend. When you talk about NFTs, people focus mainly on the NFT, and they are making a profit from it.  And everything in this space is determined by how you want to strategically invest because everything is about the step that is being taken, and that is what makes different types of investors, so it makes sense when you are specializing in one and adding holdings to it, since you only need to buy and hold.

Altcoins are too many now also is another thing and people have turned them to full time gambling.

Anyone buying those coins which null history in the market cannot be called an investor, I agree with you, this is pure and simple gambling...
Because of the existence of coins like that is why there are so many serious invidividuals and institutions which have given up on the alternative currency market and have decided to only hold Bitcoin and Ethereum, not going for other projects to diversify their treasuries.
The worst and most serious part of that alternative currency is how it was promoted/advertised by an exchange, as if such exchange could not perform their own research...
