I have seen someone who invested in Altcoin that was new and made money from that investment huge amount of money that has changed his life forever, if you don't like taking risk is up to you but allow people that love it to continue doing it, I always see people saying investing in AItcoin is a very wrong decision but to be honest is not,

You can only say that because you haven't fall victim of shitcoin dump or rug pull, that's why you still believe strongly on alt/shitcoin. Well let me inform you that majority or large number of people have lost huge amount of money and have learnt their lessons in a hard way, and that's why you see them talking about the risk in shitcoin investment. There is never a time it was stated that people can't try out risking alt/shitcoin but it is always said that you should gamble with what you can afford to lose as not to lose all your money.  Although it is possible for your friend to make big profite from altcoin, but it doesn't happen always. It could just be that it was a new tokens that was fast rising as a result of it massive demand by  buyers, and on the process your friend sold off before it falls. I believe your friend sold at the right time, maybe if he had waited more longer the team behind the project would have liquidated it and it dump so badly that everyone would be left into rug pull. So you need to be careful with your shitcoin because it can be tricky and at thesame time Risky.

 

Another thing to be added is that his friend may have not shared with him his looses, I mean great losses. For some reason, some of them them hide this fact, and cry inside, but runs out openly to proclaim there wins and make people feel that it's all well with them always. They are shitcoins and they have a high propensity of dumping within the shortest period of time. Just like you said, maybe his friend sold just at the right time, yea.

Anyways, I believe whatever money we use in buying any coin belongs to the person and only the person will face they lose when it happens. So it's there risk to bear and not mine. But for me, I wouldn't go in for something that's not solid and offers no hope in the future.

I don't know what can you make up of those people who are trying to look good in the outside, but inside they are suffering as what you have describe. Hiding and then crying inside when no one was watching. That's why it's never a good investment for this shitcoins, specially if you are very inexperienced to begin with. There could be good practice for others, like investing early and then exiting before the dump. There are some who take risks within their means and there are some who take too many risks. I think luck is with those who take risks. Unfortunately that is way too common in the crypto world and causes a lot of people to lose a lot of money. I am pretty sure that we are going to see things change with time, but for that reason we should not be looking into this like it's some sort of important thing to handle. I think it's not really a problem if they understand how to choose the altcoins they invest in, I don't think it's greed in this case, but rather how they see a gap or opportunity to gain profit in that altcoin. Even after their marketing hype, they are able to survive once they hit the exchanges because they offered reasonable profits for the airdrop holders or for their marketing team. If I see any altcoin offering hundreds of dollars just for participating in their airdrop, I am certain that coin will not do good once exchanges are hit because all the bounty hunters will be busy selling their share of tokens and this will just dump the markets.

But there are a few coins who offer lock up periods for the bounty tokens and those projects can be worth giving it a shot. They will at least not dump immediately after hitting the exchanges giving us some room to book profits.
