Well let me inform you that majority or large number of people have lost huge amount of money and have learnt their lessons in a hard way, and that's why you see them talking about the risk in shitcoin investment. There is never a time it was stated that people can't try out risking alt/shitcoin but it is always said that you should gamble with what you can afford to lose as not to lose all your money.  Although it is possible for your friend to make big profite from altcoin, but it doesn't happen always. It could just be that it was a new tokens that was fast rising as a result of it massive demand by  buyers, and on the process your friend sold off before it falls. I believe your friend sold at the right time, maybe if he had waited more longer the team behind the project would have liquidated it and it dump so badly that everyone would be left into rug pull. You didn't read all my write up, the reason why some set of people has lost a lot which even cost them to become frustrated was because they took the investment as a safe heaven and because of that they used huge amount of money to invest in it, some sell properties just to invest in Altcoin which is not right, the same way it has frustrated some people that's same way it has made some set of people rich, those that benefited understands how it works, some set of people are so greedy and that is why they also lose.

Don't deceive people into investing into something that they'll regret because although you know someone that made it big from altcoins, we have many others that're losing money because they invested in altcoins thinking it'll be the next Bitcoin but they have lost their life savings.
