Although then again that may dissuade panic-sellers from ever wanting to buy Bitcoin again, having been burned like that. The recovery might take a long time. So it is a two edged sword.

I honestly doubt if that's the case. Maybe he's just someone who doesn't think of himself alone. He might just be the selfless type, and not like so many other inventors that sticks around to sell their fraction that usually causes a change to whatever they've built. Like he said, he was moving on to other things, so maybe abandoning every single thing that relates to Bitcoin, including those early generated addresses was part of his decisions.

Though, we can't really tell since no one knows or have an idea of what he(Satoshi) looks like. But we can only make guesses and speculate.

If Satoshi had wanted to sell his 1 million bitcoins out of Short term price rise within it 15 years of existence now, he would had pulled it out on time on before now, but let's keep it straight that after he setup the technological programs of the currency and handed it over to the public as an open source in the decentlized concept, he has since then become an ordinary bitcoineer hodling his earlier on acquired 1million ahead his future.

His reasons of not selling now could be best known to him but I doubt if it is because of fear of market crash because it is obvious that every investors are are reacting according to how their investment values would favour them to the best they can. I best think him Satoshi is trying to set good example and proves the dividends of hodling for the long terms. Or he might be hodling for generational inheritance. My thoughts though.

We can only speculate as we do not know about his existence or even who Satoshi really is. So there will be many assumptions as to why Satoshi did not sell his Bitcoin. If Satoshi is still alive today we can speculate that he does not want to do so for personal reasons or even for the sake of the public. If Satoshi is no longer alive we can speculate that his Bitcoin cannot be moved by anyone as he probably did not tell anyone about his wallet or even has no heirs to his Bitcoin. Satoshi could be a pseudonym for an individual or even a group. But whatever it is. It seems that it no longer exists or will never exist again.

Satoshi is the largest Bitcoin owner to date, where he holding over 1 million Bitcoin and even ranking as the top holder compared to anyone else. We will never know the real answer but we're only good to speculate why he didn't sold a quarter, half or all of it when he can. But I guess that it's a way to prove that he's liking the value of Bitcoin since he/she has made that. Proving to own it, a lot of it means that he's sticking to his own plan of making it valuable someday and if he's/she's still out there somewhere, probably have no intention of doing it anyway. To be frank, I don't even expect him to sell his asset at this current moment that bitcoin is still trying to be recognized generally or even turn it as a legal tender, Satoshi can either touch his bitcoin when what his is planning has been executed but for him to sell now is like putting fear in the eyes of the holders or traders because they would have this thinking that anything is possible since he has sold, again selling bitcoin may either reveal his identity to world and anyone who buys from might either be track to expose the seller, as currently his wallet and address is on a watch list of many people.

You are contradicting your self.  If Bitcoin is supposed to be Decentralized then Satoshi selling his enormous Bitcoin stash would end up being GOOD news rather than bad news.  People may panic first but then panic does not last for ever.

This must be one of the reasons on why people always wanted to see Satoshi Nakamoto because they have a lot of questions to ask. Some says that Satoshi Nakamoto is not just a single person. So if if is true, they still have the chance to sell the BTC in the wallet but why it didn't happened?

It is impossible for Satoshi to be kidnapped because he knows how to hide is identity very well and if let say it happened, the BTC can surely get moved to pay the ransom. My thinking is why should Satoshi me actually crashing his bitcoin to traditional fiat? I understand he can actually use it as an exchange for currency or a payment method but converting it to fiat currency. If the inventor of bitcoin is actually converting his own invention which is to be used as same way as fiat currency back to the traditional fiat isn’t that already a breach of trust in his own invention, do you think others will believe in the idea again when the developer itself isn’t trusting the idea.

For me I don’t think we should actually be asking for Satoshi to dump his bitcoin, best is when he will spend it probably as a payment medium. For now we don’t know the stands on that bitcoin but to me the idea of leaving it untouched is a great sacred symbol for the network

@OP, what makes you think that Satoshi hasn't sold his bitcoins for this long only because he wasn't getting a good price value for them? Even if he's alive and healthy and is watching everything, he will never take the risk of making transactions from his wallet to leave any traces after spending so many years keeping his identity and anonymity intact. So, don't expect the bitcoins to move from his wallet, because that might never happen.

Also, have we ever thought? What if Satoshi has another personal wallet where he had kept some bitcoins since the beginning, and he is probably using that wallet and selling the bitcoins but no one would ever know about that. So, since he is a very clever and smart person, he must have prepared for his future and that's why he didn't want to take any credit for Bitcoin's creation or show the world what he did.

No one knows the true identity behind Satoshi. Whether he is a group of persons who came together to form the name to launch BTC or a single individual, is still a mystery.
What is important is that the idea worked and he owns a lot of BTC that he may not have to work a day in his life to spend it all.
