If you purchased alt coins that had lost its value till now, then you'll be in losses for as long as the token picks up the rising momentum and I'm sure that wouldn't be possible by now, they are all depending on Bitcoin to gain and increase movement before they all follows.

Next time, don't purchase crypto as advise from people anymore, since you are new in the crypto space, you learn first and take your own decisions after many years of grounding. Also, you only buy Bitcoin and no other ones if you want to stay in profits no matter how the market dip is.

Bitcoin lost a considerable amount of its value lately, so it's going to take a while before altcoins go all the way to the moon. Usually, top-ranked altcoins in market cap remain strong for an extended period of time. But low cap alts? That's another story. Once they lose value, it's almost impossible for them to go back to previous levels.

I've been holding HIVE for a while, and it's been nothing but losses for me. It went down from $0.15 to just $0.10 within a month. The one that had a good performance has been Zcash. This is what they will feel when they buy and have money, They always buy when see market conditions green and high price and sell when the market is red and finally they asset is no longer visible. This may be bad luck for them, and they always run out of money every week when they want to buy again finally saying I will never be able to trade and adjust to market conditions, both green and red.

Especially this particular moment or time is the hardest in speculation of the price because so many persons don't know where the market is going if it's going to be bullish or it's going to get bearish as we saw the bull season last year although the much expected altcoins season is yet to brace us with it's presence so I guess buying and waiting patiently would be the idea but in the same note be ready for whatever twist the market throws at you.

I don't know what tokens you are holding, and you didn't mention which coin you bought as someone else suggested. If you are buying Bitcoin, you should hold it and holding it for a long time will increase your chances of getting benefits and therefore reduce the chances of losing a lot.

If you are buying Altcoins then you are better off selling them, and if you are currently buying low-level coins that are not reliable then it is much better to sell them than to hold on to them.
But I would advise you to buy Bitcoin for now, buying Bitcoin is a much better move.

The crypto market is unpredictable but despite that, with some signs it is always possible to predict some coins and get it right. What I want you to understand is that even though the Bitcoin market may recover very soon, it is not all coins or tokens that will recover. There are some tokens that will never recover and will continue dropping until they become dead tokens. I have seen many of them before.

Before we even invest in any project, we should know the kind of project we are investing in. I have always invested in some new projects, and I can say that I lost over 70% in some of the projects I invested in. It usually starts like something that will pump back after the price drops to a certain level, but instead, they continue dropping. As I am now, I don’t even have hope for them.this is one of the main reasons why newbies are always advised to invest in Bitcoin only for some time, before they start to understand how things work.

It's true as you said and the big reason for newcomers is greed so they want to get rich quickly with little capital so some of them invest in memecoin so for those of us who already understand it, it's appropriate to apply the right thing and tell people around us about all the possibilities for investing, both the risks and the potential profits.

While in short term it looks like it's pumping, because it has reached above 94k, we have to realize that we can't be pumping for long term because we are going to see bear run eventually come, it always does, it's like Japanese railways.

Market is pretty bullish on the short term especially bitcoin. It doesn't mean random altcoin gonna pump though.

That's why you should never ever take people's advice. If somebody telling you to buy some random low liquidity shitcoin, the chance of recovery is slim because you're basically got rugged. If what you're buying is something like ethereum or solana there is still a chance.
