One thing I always do when sharing guides or resources about bitcoin with friends new to crypto: I run the link through a shortener that scans for malware before anyone clicks. It also lets me see if they actually opened it, so I can follow up. Small step, but it avoids the 'I clicked something weird' problem entirely.

This is also a valid solution if the destination link changes and becomes a scam website, because these services periodically scan links.
