Wow… sportsbook showing some “expert tips”?

So I was browsing the sportsbook earlier (^{you can see the site in my signature, that’s where it came from, but I’m not promoting it or anything}).
I was only there because I applied for the SC, then I noticed something I honestly haven’t seen before in the other sportsbooks I’ve used… maybe five or more already.

They actually display this “expert tips” on the match page.
The one I saw was for a local basketball game (PBA), and it looked like they were giving some recommended pick based on their so-called expert analysis or whatever algorithm they’re using.

I’m just curious if anyone here finds that kind of thing useful.
Do you really think it helps, or is it just another way to push bettors toward a certain side?

Maybe in other games they also show the same type of expert tip, I just haven’t checked them yet.

This is similar to the AI tip that is available on some other sportsbook I have played on, I am sure this one is also using some form of AI algorithm to give the tips.

These are tips that you can find available on your own, it is likely being used as a way to give players the impression of having an edge and this can attract you to play more. You could win from the tips just as easily as you could using tips based on your research.

Those tips are all AI powered, the expert keyword there is just to call your attention, I've patronized it before and it's not that exceptional. I use a betting site that even allow you to see some good-looking games played by others, more like recent bookings.

These platforms are exploring more ways to engage people and make them gamble more. There's nothing exceptional about that discovery and OP don't think highly of the expert tips, it's almost not worth the hype.

Have you taken notes and checked later if those tips were good? Otherwise we will never know if these were just generated randomly or they were actually useful. Those tips were probably generated by AI like jay above said. AI content is getting smarter and smarter lately but I am not sure if trusting them blindly is safe. Not yet at least. I also have the same suspicion as you. “Why would the casino give away winning tips?” Or maybe there is a script here as well. Maybe some of those tips are not as good as they claim. In any case unless you have a good historical data of those tips, it is impossible to tell whether they are accurate or not. There are lots of other AI products nowadays created just for gambling, maybe double check the tip and try to get a confirmation from thr other sources before you place a bet.

Whatever they be, they are a good additional info for the gamblers in the platform itself. Of course, such few info won't be sufficient, and you need to research much more to have an analytical bet but with the info in gambling platform itself, you save a few clicks and search. But it may also influence a large group of random choosers on choosing the better option effectively further decreasing the odds. So they might not be as good for analytic gamblers who would have searched for that info nevertheless.

They are likely the AI insights like the ones we get in news sites summarizing the content. The use of AI is a good choice as it would be more neutral and close to the truth than human predictions and analysis.

I don't believe all those things unless I have seen it work. However, there are many sportbooks that has this same features. Sometimes people do win and sometimes gamblers do lose it's a 50/50 something. As a matter of fact, no doubt that it's this is done through AI. And you can also get this type of informations in your own if you know how to make research. I think some mistakes gamblers make is just relying on the sportbooks informations because they feel too lazy to make their own research.

I am not sure if I have ever seen such on casinos but I do have seen this kind of, 'expert advice' thing elsewhere, and I ignore these tips, I just kind of feel repelled by this word 'expert' itself.

It could be used to sway bettors but as long as bettor knows what (s)he's doing, he'd not be swayed by it, people should not be heeding anything blindly anyhow.

You just need to check if the advice reflects reality, to know if it's just a gimmick or a simple recommendation. Although, as we know, betting odds are essentially a generalized prediction guide, showing which team has a slight advantage over the other, I don't think it's that difficult to compare that data with reality, and it could be useful. But keep in mind that they are simply predictions of something that could happen and don't always represent absolute truth. So, the best advice is to gather as much information as possible from different sources before choosing a specific bet.

I don't suggest to use this. It's way safer if you manually check the player/team stats and only use those tips as reference if your analysis is good. Then don't bet if your analysis is different from what AI tips suggested.

They might just call it an expert to attract you to use it, but always verify the tips on your own analysis to increase your confidence and win rate.

These sort of stats are completely meaningless, especially when they are a few years old and the whole team composition could have changed. It looks like an attempt to data mine with AI in order to add more content and some additional content to the page. The stars, not tips, that are really useful are recent history of games or results - like you see with horse racing that help you judge the quality of a horse. If I see a horse with 1121 recent history, they are a top performer versus a 72-03 track record. I wouldn't read too much into these supposed expert tips and they mean little bit make the bookmaker look a bit more involved and substantial.

You do the same with these tips as you do with any other piece of information you look at on a game, treat it as a stat when making your decision on how to bet the game. There is no guarantee you will win or lose following the expert tip. They're just analysis and prob 50/50.

That is pretty cool. I can’t tell you how many times I placed a bet because the odds looked too good to be true, only to find out an injury or some other thing happened I wasn’t aware of. Having a tips section might be great at helping people see the things they may not be aware of. I wonder if this will be taken over by AI, or if it already has.

Come to think of it, do bookies actually want you to win? Those tips that they give how are you so sure that you can rely on them. I noticed  that some of these bookies like mpsort and sportybet give has booking codes of tips they came up with, after tying them out for a particular period of time i found out that they don't actually put you in profit,.it's dangerous to continue using these tips they provide.

That expert tip is an AI generated which is based on the real stats of the team. It’s not suggesting any pick but it gives you an overview on what to bet based on their previous performance.

It’s a general sports betting analysis. It’s like a guide for the team capability on the game but it doesn’t promised a win.

I think other new sportsbook already implementing this AI analysis on their system.

Yes and this is not really new. Since forever, you could search up most likely teams to win during a match-day and you will get the most expected response. For live matches you can watch as the win possibility shifts during a game and use that to place a bet. Only problem is that a game of sports is entirely unpredictable, you cannot use stats and research to determine the final outcome.

I will expect many more books will be adding this going forward. It looks to be an effective marketing strategy.

It's like that they've made googling easy for the bettors, so maybe in a sense of saving time and helping you take some decision it could be helpful.

But that's not going to change the results when you're only basing your bets based on that tip, anyway it's just like a freebie tip so not gonna complain if there's a feature like that.

Correct, the target market for this feature are those user that make a quick bets by just browsing the sports book and rely on the odds.

This is not the first time I have seen this. Most popular sportsbooks or crypto casinos try to share their own prediction or a hint for bettors. I do not care about the tips because they must have used AI to run the analysis. And also, I prefer choosing a game by myself. Luck is always involved in gambling, not minding who or what company gave the tip.

I don't find them useful, prefer to gamble my way with my own selection not AI with claim to give expert analysis on what will turn out to be false positive. I know of a sportsbook that already made game selections, all stored in codes, load any code of your choice and stake with real money, more than 98% chance that you don't win from those selections, make your personal analysis and prepare your bet, you have a better chance of winning.

Tipsters make their money on sponsorships so this cooperation makes sense. Any real tipster that is actually making money from this knows that there are no realistic ways to keep beatint the system repeatedly. Even if they can predict outcomes more often than not, the payout odds account for that so it's a counteractive effect.

Anyway, in my view it's nothing out of the ordinary. Don't think of this as a cheat code to winning. It's just there to make you gamble more.
