The legendary level is a mile stone that everyone wants to attain. As a newbie, I’m eager to meet great heights on this platform, but I realized I can’t access some of the personalities that I hugely admire how successful they have become over time on this platform. I want to send them PMs, I want to ask them questions and I want to learn from their expertise, but unfortunately, they don’t receive messages from newbies. Everyone has the right to decide who to interact with and who not to interact with and it’s fine. But I believe the platform will grow bigger if the experienced members would allow newbies to message them and learn from them. We will get to close an intellectual gap and help newbies to learn and grow faster. We can achieve a better place. Imagine this👇:

The restrictions are unfortunately there for a reason. For example, some bad actors would create brand-new accounts and send unsolicitated messages/spam to other members in most cases this would be malware, scam or impersonation

Everyone here was once a newbie and if you follow the forum rules correctly, you will be ranking up in a few weeks to Jr then Member etc. If you have any questions or advice to ask for, just create a post in Beginners and Help, and most of the old members will be very helpful to you with answers. You don't need to PM then individual unless if it's something very sensitive or between the two of you.

Who told you you cant, they were also once like you, how you determine your altitude matters in life, if you can set targets, then know that you can also achieve such, just take your time, learn and be law abiding, also remember that growth is a continuous process.

This is where you mostly get it wrong, you don't have to contact them, instead read on what they have posted and learn from there, contacting them does not change anything from you undergoing the similar due process in learning, some of them even already blocked newbies from sending PMs because of spam and unsolicited messages.

The content of your topic I think shows real hunger to grow but you need to understand that from the perspective of older members, PM restrictions aren’t meant to shut newbies out, they simply protect the forum from spam, scams, and burnout. Most Legendaries you see here already receive more messages than they can handle.

The good thing is you don’t actually need PMs to learn from anyone here. Their posts, guides, old discussions and public replies are open books which you vsn read and learn from them. If you quote them, ask thoughtful questions or add something meaningful to ongoing threads, they’ll eventually notice you on their own just by reading from your honest posts.
Keep writing with the sincerity you showed in this post. On Bitcointalk, you don’t gain attention by chasing people, you gain it by contributing and from the look of things, you’re already on the right path. Good luck champ

Well I remember the very first set of posts I created on the forum, it was a poem and over time I discovered there were more interesting things than poems on the forum so I keened into reading more often and contributing positively to the forum. You should try that too and you'll see the difference.

Just assume any restriction you see as a way to prevent spammers we see frequently on the forum from littering the whole place with trash posts. Now you have your first merit try kicking off from there.

@op, do you really need to PM anyone? Who’s got the time to give you private lessons? Or do you want to beg them for some merits for quick upgrades? This should be the last thing on your mind right now. You just joined the forum, you need to study the forum rules well so you’ll know what you should and should not do here.

There are lots of people you can learn from; study their work. If you have any questions, do not go private, make it public so you’ll learn from everyone. Do not limit yourself to just a few people.

Even the iroko tree deosn't grow a day, and you should know what it would take for an Iroko tree to grow. To be frank everyone here has an equal right and equal access to the forum, and is just depends on the areas of your interest. If you are here to admire all ranks then I must say that is the beginning of your stagnation over here but if you are here to make an input and contributes greatly then certainly those ranks are to be achieved within the shortest time, but then you must have a value to the forum, either by helping people or by teaching people what you think they are lacking then you will get to the place you want to be. Yes, there is no one who doesn't admired all the rank but when they discovered their places here that was how they got to their destinations.

So, I must advised you, put more efforts to the areas you think the forum is lacking or to the areas you think you can assist people over here. Good luck and welcome to the forum!

Ranking up to a level where you can send private messages isn’t too difficult. There are still restrictions to prevent spam, so you will have to wait some time between messages. It’s a slight inconvenience, but you can are still able to communicate.

If you are just looking for advice from knowledgeable members, it is better to create a topic in the Beginners & Help section rather than sending unsolicited messages. There are also already countless threads with useful information. You can use the ninjastic.space search engine to find information on something specific you want to learn more about.

Some of those Legendary members in the forum are more like the way you have celebrities in the real world, not everyone can access celebrities, you’ll in fact need to first gain some level of recognition and reputation first before you can easily access them, either through their social handles or other areas. That’s just how it is here, newbies are restricted from sending PMs to other ranks, especially the High tankers because the system assumes at that point, you have absolutely zero business sending out PMs to anyone because you just arrived and literally don’t know anyone yet. But you get to know people the more you spend more time here on the forum and perhaps increased your rank, and then you’ll be allowed to send a PM across to whoever you wanna send a PM to without any restrictions.

Tap learning from me at my unaware, then you could also do same to others you find worthy of learning from, if you're to go by sending PMs, do you know how many you could have sent to all reputed members, I'm sure you might receive a temporary ban for doing that, not even when you're a newbie and they are not familiar with you, so don't make it looks as if you have another hidden agenda for doing so, lastly, a newbie can turned a legend member with time, if he know what he's doing and set his targets right, you can't even afford to have time trolling when you should be busy working on learning.

We will get more scammers. Not everyone with a legendary rank know what they are doing. Forum rank doesn’t exactly measure bitcoin knowledge.

You don’t have to send pms to high ranked members before you can learn from them. Follow their posts, read their topics and you will learn just as much as if you’re in a room with them. There was a thread by Fillippone that helped me when I was a newbie. I’d share it if I can find it.

OP I assume you are referring to the legendaries who have obtained 5 figure merits.

You will notice that the vast majority have been on the forum for many years, they
have seen many many members come and go. Imagine having to answer newbies questions
about how they got so far on the forum! sheesh what a nightmare.

What exactly do you think they are going to tell you?
Just create your own journey on the forum, to climb the ranks takes time, posts and merit.
You are already on the way to Jr.Member, you just need time and posts to progress there.

Yesterday I read the post but due to a lack of enough time didn't reply and realised most probably this post was made through an AI command. Because it's hard to understand what OP has written. But his intention is pretty clear that he wants PM Legendary members; I don't know why he thinks to do it. Because his explanation about sending PM looks not reasonable to me; rather, he would have some other intentions. Yes, I agree with you; unless OP reforms himself from writing AI-generated content, then he might end up with a ban or red tag anytime.

@OP, to learn about Bitcoin and about the forum, you really don't need to talk personally. Legendary doesn't mean a crypto expert. There are a lot of Legendary who become Legendary by airdrop merits and don't even know the forum rules. So your explanation is nonsense to me; we have full right if we want to ignore someone. You shouldn't break others' privacy, and Legendary aren't forced to reply to you as well. If you really have good intentions to learn about the forum and Bitcoin, you just need to spend more time reading useful threads in the forum. You can engage in the discussion, ask questions, and after all, you can create a thread regarding your concern. It isn't necessary to ask personal questions; some Legendary even share their story with the forum. You may find it if you are active here. So just focus on learning, not on sending PMs.

Funny enough, if he calms down and learn, by the time he gets to a level where he can send PMs, he won't be interested in sending PMs anymore. With just 30 activity points, you can send a maximum of 10 PMs per hour to about 5 members, I think, but if a person who actually wants to learn gets 30 activity points, they will see that whatever they want to send PMs to learn can be gotten on the boards.

The only time I remember that the forum has a PM feature is when I receive a PM or when I see somebody talking about it, like now.
