Importance of Nigeria history to the young generations

Nigeria as a country has our history that brought all tribes together as one, our failure to transfer those historical accounts to the young generations at times contributes to the economic crisis affecting the nation. All part of Nigeria where living in peaceful coexistence without any intertribal difference  before the amalgametion of the southern and northern protectorates took place in 1914 by the British government, which later leads to the colonial rule and indirect governance system.

Since the amalgamation, there have been indirect conflict between all because of the amalgamation process and division of power Among then. If not for the amalgamation, there won't have been conflict among us because we all would have been independent to each other and the peaceful coexistence would have continued because there won't have been quest for superiority among us.

You are right. That amalgamation of a thing was what created the struggle for superiority that was not in existence before because now everybody is literally fighting for space in one Nigeria instead of being independent and coexist in peace through trades and other meaningful relationships.

I have a feeling that without that 1914 move maybe we would have still be leaving in peaceful coexistence, harmony and respect for our diversity and not the power tussel or bias that we are filled with today. Most times I used to sit within myself and and say maybe teaching our kids this history properly like how we used to coexist peacefully in the past would bring back that unity that exists between us before.
